Penis-envy is a more appropriate descriptive.  Pushy and obnoxious, too.  Overcompensating for grave feelings of inadequacy and insecurity.  Hell-bent on a dubious and mentally retarded personal, religious and ideological agenda.  That's a more accurate picture.

Any politician who has made it to high office has a fair bit of determination.

 This is pretty much a given. 

Some are more determined than others. This is something that even Palin's most ardent detractors cannot objectively deny.

She is determined enough to have reingratiated McCain to the base of his party.  The NRA and Pro-Life activists have shown up, ready to pitch-in and to dig-in (to their pockets) which changes the entire dynamic of the electoral race.  Her determination will be on display during the VP debate.

Well she's certainly done a good job of cleaning up Murkowski's f*ck ups. I would think determination would be a huge thing.

She got where she is on her own, even when fighting corrupt elements of her own party. That's what I call determination. And that is what we need.
