She's too stupid, brainwashed and parochial in what passes for her thinking to flip-flop. Flip-flopping suggests that someone has a mind that's open enough to consider alternative options and then allow positions to be altered due to new data and better-informed perspectives. This Pig With Lipstick just doesn't have the mental acuity, education or experience to go beyond tired political ideology and weirdo, fairytale Biblethumping delusions.

Who knows and who cares. Besides, "flip-flop" is entirely in the eye of the partisan beholder. When the opponent changes his position, its a "flip-flop." When your guy changes his, it a "reconsideration in light of an evolving situation"

Kerry was the King of flip-flopping along with Gore. Palin has changed her mind when given more information and I don't consider that a "bad" thing.

She doesn't flip-flop because she doesn't know what the hell she's talking about. She is probably parroting whatever her handlers tell her to say.

I'm pretty sure according to the definition of this term coined by her own party in 2004 that she does, in fact, flip-flop. See the bridge to nowhere for one example. I agree that this term is absurd, and fundamentally opposed to what I hope politicians are actually doing, which is to allow changing circumstances to guide decisions in different ways over time. Given that it was entered into the broader political rhetoric by her own party, however (and the implication by virtue of inclusion on this very list is that it still holds some sort of weight), I think it's fair game here. When will they start pulling out the good ol' Litmus Test again? At least that brought me back to fond memories of middle school chemistry class ;)

I'm really starting to detest this political expression. What is a flip flop and what isn't. Your candidate never does it but his opponent always does. This woman appears, at this very early juncture, to have the strength of her convictions and is grounded in conservative principles. That's all I can say. The left-wing smear machine, working in overdrive since Friday noon, will find anything she has done in her 44 years to belie that statement. Count on it. How she reacts to that din of criticism will reveal character or lack thereof.

She doesn't have to. She has the "ovaries" to stand for what she believes in. And she strongly believes in what she stands for.
