Absolute garbage. I was an avid user of Nyquil for my flu symptoms, that is until they changed the formula after the 2006 amphetamine act. I than found that I could get the original formula behind the pharmacy desk as Nyquil D. I was satisfied until I found that Nyquil discontinued the manufacture of it again. Way to go Proctor and Gamble, I will not be purchasing any P&G products anymore.

nyquil is a product created by the creator of the universe who (after creating nyquil) chose a human being to be infused with teh scientific knowledge of how to create a product (nyquil) the common man could consume by purchasing from any given store and be alleviated from all the symptoms of the common cold. god bless nyquil and i will hunt down anyone in its opposition.

This stuff works wonders, makes me sleepy very fast, although the taste is SOO bad that it makes me want to throw up. The taste is absoutely awful. Words cannot describe it. I highly recommend taking the Liquicaps! It works just as good.

I find that NyQuil is one of the best night time cold medicines you can take. When I use this I will take it about 1 hour before bed and when I go to be I get a good night sleep for at least 6 hours. It helps clear up my nose and keeps me from coughing all night and also reduces my fever. For the most part I always feel better in the morning due to getting some sleep because I took this medicine.

If it's not going to work, it could at least knock my a** out long enough to sleep through the suffering --- doesn't even do THAT much for me.

although it is pretty nasty tasting if i want a pretty good nights sleep, this stuff is good at getting me through the night. I use it for a few nights until the worst of it is over. good for over the counter.

This is the only product that helps a cold and the next morning I actually feel much better. Someone told me they have recently taken out an ingredient--I hope not because this really works for me.

This stuff works wonders... but it does leave a disgusting taste in your mouth... from my experience, if you chase your 2 TBS of NyQuil with some pretzle sticks the taste disapears. Magic... : )

I expected to take the pill and feel sleepy within the hour but for me, the effect was more like once I got to sleep, I didn't wake up six times needing to blow my nose or drink some water. Its great for me because when I get sick, I dont have trouble with coughing, I have trouble breathing through my nose. So I breathe through my mouth and it makes my throat really dry. So it keeps me sleeping nicely for at least 9 or 10 hours. (unless my dog jumps on my head...then I'm on my own)

When I have a bad cold or flu and I can't sleep, I depend on this stuff. It REALLY makes you drowsy within 5 minutes of taking it, yet you don't feel groggy the next day. Only complaint is that the taste could seriously be improved, but hey, the worse the taste the better it works...

NyQuil doesn't do a thing for me. Maybe my body just got used to it because it used to work. Now it just makes me so tired but it doesn't help my cold symptoms. I spend the night mad because I am so tired but I can't get any sleep because I'm couging constantly.

Before I was introduced to narcotic cold remedies by my doctor...I would say this was a 5 star cold medicine. But when comparing to prescription cold remedies..it falls flat...can't give it more than 2 stars...

Great stuff, as long as you don't have any, and I mean any, plans for the evening. Denis Leary has a great bit on NyQuil that makes me laugh evertime I hear it.

I am one that always keeps a bottle of NyQuil in my cabnet just in case... With most cold and flu symptoms, it helps relieve them during the night! Although if you have alot of chest congestion and major coughing, it helps... but I have found other products that help alot better with the major coughs & congestion.

Good ol' NyQuil. If you feel like poo, and you really need to sleep, this is a guaranteed knock-out. I take it a couple of hours before I want to fall asleep. While the pills are nice, I recommend the original green liquid...because it is a rite of passage!

Nyquil is highly effective, but not as enjoyable as Thera-flu. If you want tasty tea-like medicine, drink Thera-flu. If you don't care, Nyquil rocks.

I don’t know if anyone else has this problem with NyQuil, but after I take it I can’t really fall asleep. Yes I get really tired, and I drop off into a kind of half-sleep, but I’m tossing and turning for hours. It does temporarily remove my cold symptoms, but if I can’t get any rest, what’s the point? NyQuil seems to work fine for other people, but I stay away from it.

The best medicinal product for cold and flu because it will knock you out cold and the next morning you will feel great. Everytime I get a cold I double my dose just to make sure I feel better the next day.

This worked well to allow me to sleep. My runny, stuffy nose didn't bother me when I tried to sleep. However, it shouldn't be taken in the day to avoid drowsiness.

I don't like NyQuil. It's true it's the nighttime, sniffing, sneezing, achy cold medicine but this product is too strong. It knocks you right out and you don't hear, or know what is going on around you. Not good.

I give NyQuil a 4 because when you're stuffy, coughing and flu-like, this helps you feel better and most importantly, let's you sleep. It really does! When having trouble with sleeping, this is good at night.

This is also a great cold and flu medication. Nyquil allows me to get a better nights sleep. I won't wake up at night sniffing or coughing. This is a great product.

This is good as a last resort medicine, knocks you out for at least 8 hours, so don't plan on getting up during that time. You wake up groggy but it is better than no sleep at all.

Awful taste. It isn't that effective and you must take a strong dose to see the effects. It makes you feel drowsy without relieving your symptoms.

NyQuil works really well and so does DayQuil but I don't like the liquid kind. It is best in the gel cap form.
