Was the Governor of Nebraska and was basically picked because he was William Jennings Bryan's younger brother.  He does not seem to have brought much to the table as a VP candidate except his name so I would consider him a poor choice.  But who really can judge an obscure governor from nearly a century ago.  He and Davis were buried by Coolidge and Dawes.
