I use the "color me happy" line. I am torn on my review. My hair was very dry due to colorings it very blonde. I recently changed color to red and still had very dry hair. Since using this product my hair is so much better. However everytime I wash my hair I watch more of my color go down the drain. My hair is soft but drab. The sparkle is gone and the colir is darker more brown then red. Although i love the softness I pay too much money to watch my color fade in only 2 wks. If u dont color you may love this brand.

I a huge fan of herbal essence! I am one of those people that has to wash my hair every day, and this is the only hair product that does not make my hair look really thick and it doesn't get buildup either! I have tried so many different products and this is the best one for me.

I usually wouldn't reach for this brand in the drug store, but I'm happy I did! I only picked up the Drama Clean (green) shampoo. It's supposed to smell like orange flower and jasmine but to me it smells better-like watermelon flavored candy. The formula is fantastic. Lathers really nice and the scent lingers in your hair but is not overpowering. Sadly, I'm not as fond of the formula in the conditioners. I have generally dry, curly hair so I need a very moisturizing conditioner. The moisturizing one wasn't very good. Yet, I would recommend this brand! Very happy with this product overall :)

I have used Hydralicous reconditioning conditioner. That stuff is useless, it weighs your hair down and leaves a buildup in your roots. Hello Hydration is just ok. But left my hair frizzy afterwards.

herbal shampoos are not good for your hair. they dry your hair and coat them to make your hair seem shiny. all supermarket brands are the same. not good for your hair. makes your hair dry break and washes your colour out. you really need to be using redken. redken work from the inside out on your hair shaft. its pricey but you only need a little bit. it lasts for 5-6 months depending on how often you wash your hair. it really is worth it if you care about your hair. xx

I used the Herbal Essences Hydralicious Reconditioning Conditioner. I had high expectations for it. I am a male, and have dry and rough hair. Here is my findings: ▶ My hair was less frizzy than before. ▶ I suffered from having itchy hair, but now the conditioner cured it. ▶ My hair is softer but not very significantly. ▶ The smell is great, but it sometimes overpowers me. However, its scent is still persistent even after few hours of using the product. Overall, this product is probably the best one you can get from a drugstore shampoo/conditioner. Plus, it is definitely better than Pantene, but cheaper.

I had this really nasty, oily, greasy spot in my hair near the top of my head. It would clear up whenever I colored my hair but would come back a few days later. Someone recommended a clarifying shampoo and another said not to use anything with panthenol in it. Treseme has panthenol and it supposedly causes even more buildup in hair. I tried using Suave's Daily Clarifying shampoo and conditioner. They didn't work at all. I looked around on the internet for solutions to my problem and found the suggestion of using baby powder to soak up the oil. It worked okay but was very messy. So I looked through shampoos and conditioners at a retail store and decided to get Herbal Essenses Degunkify shampoo and Drama Clean conditioner. They worked! My hair is clean, light, and smells great and I love it! I would rate it five stars but it's a little pricey for a brand available in retail stores.

I had tried this shampoo. It did nothing special. That type of shampoo can be rather harsh on your hair and mine is fine and all. When I did work temp for Clairol I heard something about the shampoo from an employee as if it was a secret. One could almost guess it anyway. The thing with the herbs and all making it better is pretty much overdone. He said there is only a very small amount of herbs that is in the shampoo for the women to make them think that it is. I really stay away from Clairol. The manager there had also said something nasty near me since she seemed to know I didn't like animal testing or guessed. They are supposed to have stopped animal testing but will again if it is deemed necessary. That is the word from the last I had heard.

If I am going for cheap shampoo or conditioner I'd go straight for Herbal Essences. All of them smell great and seem to do their jobs. I also like the new packaging on the bottles and the fact that they have funny little sayings on them now!

Herbal Essences is good for what it is--a low-cost brand with herbal fragrances. They are pleasant scents and not too overpowering, though not so pleasing as portrayed in the commercials with women screaming in the shower while using them. Unlike most drugstore brands, I've found that you don't need to use a ton of this for it to work.

What a aweful decision to discontinue "Herbal Essences Purifying Shampoo"!!!! A month ago I bought the new "alternative" - De-gunkifying something. First of all, it took me 15 minutes to figure our which series I need to choose - the "cute" names are cheesy and unclear! I don't have time to translate what a heck they ment by "Drama Queen", etc! Is it so hard to write "For Oily Hair", "For Dry Hair", "For Qurly Hair", etc? Second, I used the new shampoo a few times and it was just bad! It has some sort of tingling effect which makes my skin feel like it's burning - especially my face, ears and neck! Plus, I don't understand why everyone is so crazy about the smell - it's pretty lame. Yesterday I found my last bottle of the old "Clarifying" shampoo and squeezed the last drops out of it. OMG, It was such a great experience! My hair felt very soft even before I used conditioner! It smells 1000% better than the new series! Not to mention that my oily thin hair looks and feels great! ... Read more

I've used Herbal Essences for a couple of months now. I believe around.. since.. Jan? Or before? It's not recommended for EVERYONE. It does sometimes give me a dry feeling, when I get out of the shower, but after it's completely dry. It's soft, and smooth. Usually my friends keep commenting on how my hair smells good and feels soft (: I'm in love with this product. My faves are Totally Twisted, and Drama Clean. I'm not a HUGEEE fan of the thicker shampoos tho =/ They seem too thick for my hair. But they smell good, and don't damage my hair. Other products like the moussing is amazing, I've used the totally twisted styling mousse to scrunch my hair up tons. It leaves my hair looking naturally curly/really wavy in a good way. And leaves it smelling great. I recommend this to people who are fond of great smelling products, and knows whats good for their hair. Once again. It's not recommended for everyone.

Smells good, but doesn't work that well. If you have color treated hair, this shampoo will actually change the color of your hair. The ph is unbalanced, and it has a lot of detergent in it. Not the best, and for the price it needs to be improved.

It's weird that some people said that Herbal essences it's a shit, cause in my experience I've used every single Herbal Essences collection(including the long term relationship for long hair) and all work great! Of course I have my favorites (Breaks Over and totally twisted) but any of them it's a bad product. I have very long hair and it's been treated couple times and my hair always looks spectacular. No kidding, I love my hair and I love this shampoo and conditioner.

I love Herbal Essence Shampoo. I have used it everyday since last month. It has an amazing smell. I love the bodifying citrus one. It gives my hair so much shine. My friends always ask me what I use in my hair, because no offense but there hair is incredibley greasy. It is so feathery, shiny, and love to touch when I walk out of the shower. It's AMAZING!

I have seen no difference in my hair and they smell pretty bad compared to the old collection! The Color Me Happy line definitely smells the best...but the rest make me wonder how they could go from being the best-smelling hair product line to being the WORST.

I loved the old Herbal Essences Clarifying Shampoo. Why o why do manufacturers discontinue wonderful products without giving us poor consumers any warning so we can stock up. The new "De-gunkifying" Shampoo is AWFUL AWFUL AWFUL.(The bottles are ugly, too, and those "cutesy" labels are totally lame!) This new product leaves my hair stickier and gunkier than it was before. I hope Clairol wises up and brings back the wonderful product. NO STARS for new Herbal Essences!

Review of Herbal Essences Dangerously Straight Shampoo: The first time I used this product my hair seemed like it was "shocked". My hair became stringy (not normal) and tangled...I kept using it because I don't like to throw away bottles that are almost full and I tend to be frugal...After a while my hair became brittle, damaged, extremely dry and started to crack. I finally left the bottle alone and went to buy a "salon product" which is for dry/damaged hair. This product did not make my hair straighter at all and totally damaged it. Pros I supposed it cleansed my hair?? Cons expensive, "dangerous" to your hair's health, FALSE advertisement, amongst other things.

I have used Herbal Essences Clarifying shampoo and Puryfying conditioner for many years and loved them HOWEVER, I have recently tried the NEW Herbal Essence DEGUNKIFY shampoo - and it is AWFUL, it is the worst product I have ever tried. I don't even think this product is safe to strip my floors! It does smell good though.

I just purchased this new Herbal essence Citrus bodifying shampoo and the conditioner for Fine hair, its great, and it doesnt weigh your hair down!! i bought also the detangling spray which also is fantastically new, and its GREAT!! ive tried all the rest of herbal essence shampoo lines (except the color treated line!! i dont color my hair!!), it seems all the other lines weigh my hair down, But the fruit fusions oily formulation, this one is great also, But as for the new citrus line i would highly recommend this new shampoo line, it softens my hair, plus it leaves a Wonderful scent!! I sure hope they come up with family sizes for this citrus line, also family size body washes!....They also have a citrus normal hair version shampoo and seperate conditioner, i tried that, but its a little too moisturizing for my hair, i love the fine hair citrus shampoo and the conditioner,To inform you this fine citrus conditioner is dark pink in color, just like the bottle, its GREAT!!! Please try ... Read more

I would of done 100 stars if they had it!!!!!!!! I completley LOVE herbal essences!!!!! All my friends, I tell them about it. I get asked every day, oh, your hair is SO soft, what shampoo do you use? And I tell them. They have products for every hair style. go to www.herbalessences.com and do the quiz. I notice the difference exspecially w/ the hawafina conditioner. As soon as I rinse it out in the shower, I feel smooth, no tangle hair. I then brush it. I have been using Herbal Essences for 6 months now, havn't had tangles in 6 months, and am never switching.

I had also tried the shampoo and conditioner and they both were one of the worst ones that I have used. The shampoo left by hair drier and brittle, and the conditioner wasn't any better. It left my hair flat. After I have watched the commericals for this shampoo, I would have never even have bought it to begin with. The commerical is geared for over sexed little boys. Not for women. If they want women to buy there product I would recommend that they improve there product and get rid of the over sex commericals.

Outside of the FLAGRANT false advertising (haha, I really wish shampoo could do that for me! I want my money back!), it's just your run-of-the-mill shampoo that just smells really nice. It's a bit on the drying side, too, which I see is a common complaint here. At leat I'm not the only one . . .

Whores having "orgasms" during commercials. This kind of crap is one reason I'm glad I don't have children. I certainly don't want impressionable kids watching this, but since they're on ALL THE TIME, it can't be avoided. Then we have fools who wonder why teenagers get pregnant all the time. Not funny. Do not buy this product.

As for the shampoo it is okay. Nothing all that special.Gets the hair clean fairly nice smell to the shampoo. I only give it a three because I am rating the shampoo. If I were rating the commercial it would get a 1. it is about the most stupid and annoying commercial on TV right now. Please, take it off for good.
