YEAH!!!!!

Who cares! I don't. The question is-Tom Brady may miss season but is still banking on a lot more than we all make in a decade.

As we all speculate ~ coach needs to start cheating earlier this year than he did last season

A huge loss, both for the Patriots and the NFL. Matt Cassel is not going to led this team to the promised land.

The Patriots are skilled enough to make it to the playoffs. The big loss will be in revenue to the NFL and televised games, also to the Patriots and other teams who play them. Brady was a big draw.

Big names get hurt every season. I don't see this as any different. The Patriots have a lot of weapons, Brady or no Brady, and I don't see them missing the playoffs even without him.

This will actually make me root for the Patriots, since I'm delighted to see Matt Cassel, the proverbial eternal bridesmaid, finally get a start, which he has not done since a high-school game in 1999. Choosing to attend the football powerhouse of USC, Cassel gave up the chance to start at a lesser university like, let's say, the University of Alaska. Yet a man who hadn't led a team in years was able to step up yesterday and win a game in the NFL. Proof, in case you needed it, that "executive experience" isn't everything ...

The importance of this sports story definitely hinges on whether or not he is out for the season or not. The Pats could do just fine for a month or so without him, if he came back healthy for most of the season. However, a Matt Cassel led team with Matt Gutierrez as the backup certainly isn't striking fear in anybody. Then again...maybe Matt Cassel can pull a Tom Brady and make Giselle's boyfriend the new Drew Bledsoe.

Wow, that bad feeling I had about the Pats came true. Sucks that it had to go down like that, but Chokestradamus is right again, apparently...
