Although I have the feeling that today he'd be seen as "politically incorrect" or something,Mr. Magoo was a riot!

In relatively small doses not so bad, but I found it got old pretty quickly.

Ohhhh Magoo, you’ve done it again! Well, get some glasses you old pinhead and maybe you won’t do it the next time! I guess that would have actually ended his career come to think of it. I enjoyed the occasional Mr. Magoo cartoon growing up, even if they were pretty predictable. I think it had as much to do with the wonderful voice of Jim Backus as anything. Magoo’s best work by far was his version of “A Christmas Carol”. Not fancy or artsy, but it was a Christmas tradition at my house and it will always take me back. And between Jacob Marley with his chains and plaintive wail and that ghost of Christmas Future with his empty black hood and bony finger pointing into the grave it even gave me a few really creepy nightmares before Christmas. Or maybe it was just too much Razzelberry dressing!
