 | Indianzo (0) 02/12/2003 | This Sharp camcorder is just like any other SHARP item, CHEAP!!! Not just in price but QUALITY as well... The tape gets STUCK every single time you leave an unfinished tape in the Cam. I have had a SONY before and saw no problems. DO NOT BUY...this CAM because it's features are nothing but a SCAM!

 | j9studt (0) 11/08/2001 | Bought my Sharp VL-WD450U after evaluating perhaps a dozen other camcorders. As usual, I was looking for value in a model that had all the useful current technology. A few had pretty much everything in my price range ($600-$800), but, funny thing, what seperated the Sharp from the rest was operatablity. Specifically, the Sharp is the only camcorder in its class to have a zoom trigger which actually works well! It's simply positioned correctly. I was shocked to find that other camcorders had clunky triggers. See if this isn't true for you when you handle them. Also, true to its name, the TFT Active Matrix LCD gives a very sharp picture. If battery life is important, just buy another battery. They throw in an extra charger so it's easy to use. I am thoroughly pleased with my purchase. Took it to Hawaii and had a great time.

 | bill5722om (0) 04/05/2000 | I have owned two Sharp camcorders. The first had to be repaired 4 times. I finally gave up on it and bought their digital camcorder. I have had it two years and it is having problems now too. I love the features and layout with the 4 inch screen in the back but I can't believe the reliability problems. I think I will buy a Sony next time.

 | SamIAm (4) 03/30/2000 | My Sharp ViewCam is excellent. It is easy to use, with two different ways of viewing, and the quality is great. Anyone can use it and come out with great movies. I highly recommend it. My only complaint is the battery doesn't last as long as I would like it to...and there's an easy fix for that, if you are inside, use the plug and if you are out and about have an extra battery or two handy!
