 | adam447 (0) 12/04/2003 | I have the SL-SW880 model silver/blue, with the brain shaker jogging head phones, this is going on my 4th year owning it and I have never had any problems with it. Absolutely excellent product, would recommend to the person looking for quality, style, and performance.

 | BIGBABY (11) 04/13/2003 | I love my little handy Panasonic! It has anti-skip, bass, and three modes of music to listen to. The headphones have subwoofers right in them! Highly reccommended. I agree with others here who have said that its durable. Ive dropped mine countless times, its still working excellent.

 | rdee3843om (0) 06/25/2001 | Not bad.
Although I say that I prefer TECHNICS.
However, I do believe that TECHNICS is an offbrand of PANASONIC.
I find that TECHNICS are far superior, in most ways to any other portable CD player out there.
I don't care what TECHNICS model you get...
Nearly all of them are great.
However if you can't afford the TECHNICS, this SL series by PANASONIC, is more than acceptable...

 | liddlebopeep (0) 04/06/2001 | An excellent value all around. I've owned my Panasonic CD player for almost four years now and am nothing less than satisfied with its performance. The unit itself is thin, light and compact and can easily fit in one's jacket pocket or knapsack. It has been very durable and has withstood many accidents on my behalf. My only complaint is that the XBS (extra bass) feature at times distorts the quality of the music. Instead of there only being one XBS setting (on or off), perhaps there should be more as with the Sony Discman line featuring normal, mid and maximum levels of bass. Other than that, I have no complaints. If you're in the market for a portable CD player I highly recommend the Panasonic brand. Its rugged, dependable and affordable.

 | Lavender slug (0) 01/23/2001 | I highly recommend this CD player, there are many accesories available including a hand held strap for running. The anti skip is superb and can survive any mountain trail, running, biking, or driving. The sound generated is clear and the metal frame makes it less fragile.

 | KwanKwan (0) 01/23/2001 | I own one of these and they have very good shock proof characteristics. They are cute in the sense that they come in unique colors. Well, the quality of it marks it most as the best I've owned. Good product!

 | Flash 2 (0) 12/14/2000 | Puts out great sound! Terrific battery life. The anit-skip doesn't suck down the battery power like most other CD players. Well worth the price. Bass boost works very well.

 | shibaljjokka (0) 12/14/2000 | I've owned two Panasonic SL Series CD players and both were reliable and had good pick-up. Although one of them was much more pricey, both basically had the same chassis. The cheaper one seemed the same compared to the other (SL-5231C vs. SL-5280). The Panasonic has a better design compared to a Sony or a Phillips. Panasonics use little batteries.

 | dkawada (0) 12/14/2000 | I love Panasonic products. Since I was a little child, I've used Panasonic products. The electronic screen of the remote control is easy to use, and I can continue listening longer than other products.

 | KWKCIVC (0) 12/12/2000 | I received this CD player for Christmas of 1998 and it has performed flawlessly ever since. The anti-skip (ESP), works great and it sounds good with the tape adapter in my car. It also doesn't drain the batteries too fast. I would buy it again.

 | Blainediggitybling (0) 12/12/2000 | I currently use a portable Panasonic CD player for work and school. The cost was a little less than other brands, so I also feel that the quality is less. The Panasonic does the job for me, but not as well as I would like it to.

 | jleonard (0) 10/23/2000 | My Panasonic CD player has been around for three years of tough duty. It has been rained on and dropped many times. It is very durable. I like the battery charge mode. Not many players have that option these days.

 | protection (0) 10/18/2000 | I had three Panasonic CD portable players. Two of them were 40 second anti-skip players, and the last one was a 3 second anti-skip player. the players that were 40 second didn't last as long and the 3 seond that I had owned for a whole year or so. The two 40 second one were either stolen or are now broken. The one that was 3 second I gave to my sister. If I remember properly the 3 second anti-skip CD player allowed me to play it while running to catch the bus to school, and the others had always forced me to walk very slow. What I'm doing is letting everyone know that the 40 second anti-skip players that you probably bought for $50-$85, you should take it back and get one like a 3 second anti-skip because they last longer and they're cheaper.

 | Cald8985du (0) 07/24/2000 | I've had my player for quite a while now and I'm very satisfied. It is very durable, rugged in fact. I use it constantly and never have problems. I would recommend it highly.

 | socc8769om (0) 07/18/2000 | The overall design of this CD player series is outstanding. The one I own is about one centimeter thick, and only the size of a CD, making them very portable. They also have one of the longest anti-skip times I've seen, though advertised at 40-45 seconds. I've heard that it lasts around 51 seconds. Plus, it has a maximum battery time at over 48 hours, and it includes re-chargeable batteries.

 | cara8431om (0) 07/11/2000 | Panasonic has the worst sound. They have CD players that look great, but the sound is terrible. Do not buy Panasonic! It's a terrible CD player.

 | setz7356om (0) 06/12/2000 | Wonderful price. It does the same things as all the other CD players but it isn't as expensive. It is a bit fragile and the rechargable batteries should be included.

 | tjmc7287du (0) 06/09/2000 | I use one of the newer anti-shock players and it has never given me problems though it does drain battery energy fast.

 | free7285om (0) 06/09/2000 | Be sure to get at least 10 second memory because the normal anti-skip protection is almost worthless. The rechargeable batteries are a nice feature and its nice that you can recharge in the player itself.
