Good Cd player hard to break.. I finally just retired mine becuase i now have a mp3 player.. But this was the best Cd players i have ever had, good anti-shock.. Only bad thing is the cheap headphones sound horrible so buy a nicer pair...

Got a D-1000 and just love it. Detail like a recharging cradle just make it nicer to live with!

Durable and longlasting I have owned several portable sony disc players and disc players of another brand and I have to say that sony's have the best sound quality. They are tough as well. I dropped the one I own at present on the ground; broke the top, snapped it back on and it still plays just as good as the day I purchased it.

Decent enough performance but aesthetically poor. I know the main function of Sony's discman line is to provide quality sound but they could at least try and make their products look nice. I'm glad I stuck with Panasonic.

(assuming i've got the right model here) exactly what i wanted. love how it comes with rechargeables and is itself the charger. hasn't failed me yet, and is great on power considering the air traffic controller headphones i've got hooked up to it. yeah, it skips a bit when you're jostling it around, i can deal with that. do yourself a favour and get the remote!

this is a great product I think that portable cd players was a good invention its great how you can listen to your music and go into different rooms in your house and still be able to hear it very well because the headphones are in your ears! sony is a really good product, there stuff never usually breaks (no of mine) I think sony's portable cd players (any of them) are made really well and are hard to make skip around, so I give sony D series a 5!

I love that portable CD players have radios now. It's awesome. It's like the new walkman! The sound quality is great and I know that all of my friends all own one. I'd recommend the O series to anyone whom works out because the anti shock is great.

I recently bought the sport discman with the G-protection and it works great. No problems with it, no skipping which is really important for me so I can listen to music while I'm active.

I think this is the new Sony 40 sec. anti-skip Cd player. It was enxpensive (over $100) but the product is awesome. I dropped the player, and it did not open, nor did it skip. Running also causes it no problems. Battery life is terrific too. 2 AA's lasted for several months of use (approx. 5 hrs/week).

I own a Sony portable CD player. I really like it and I think it is a quality made dependable product. I like it's diverse features. I like having the memory in it so that it does not skip. This was a very good idea.

I was disappointed with the Sony D series I purchased last year. Although the sound quality was surprisingly good, it seemed excessively tempermental and sensative to skipping. An okay choice if you are listening in the library, but not practical if you are a person on the move.

First of all it's good because it's made by Sony. Sony makes all the best stuff. It makes Playstation which is the best video game system out there. Also Sony makes car radios, TV's, speakers, etc., so they know what they are doing. Now what's great about the Sony D Series is that it sounds great which is the most important part. It doesn't skip as much as the other CD players do.

Sony makes lousy home CD players, but making CD Walkmans is Sony is king. The ESP on a song channel can not be beat. You might pay a little more, but it will last.

This is a great product in more ways than one. From the colors of the LCD to the style of the case. This CD player is totally outrageous. Prices are sort of high.

I've had this player for awhile and I love its performance, I must say. I take it everywhere, when I walk, drive (I plug it in the stereo), and almost anything else. I think that it is a very well built product and I will have it for a long time I'm sure.

Sony's CD players are horrible, aside from the expensive ones that range from $200-$400. The players have horrible design and look like cheap plastic. The features top Panasonic SLs, but cannot compare to the pick-up of the Panasonics and the sound.

Sony's customer care service is very helpful, the attitude of the operators are very nice. The sound of the CD player is clear, sharp, the bass is very rich and strong, especially when the Mega Bass funtion is turned on. The design of the CD player looks like really high technology products, looks like the next century products.

Actually I have a prejudice towards Sony products. I have heard Sony products are likely to be broken. Still, the sound is good, but the price is higher than other companies' product, so I will not buy this in the future.

I think it is good because you save batteries. However, I think I paid too much. I had the Aiwa XP and it was better than this one. The Sony player is not too bad.

The latest Sony Discman lines are very excellent. They feature a very cool, silver design. The bass is very excellent, and exceeds the bass output of any portable CD player that I've used. Also, using the Sony rechargeable battery allows the battery to be recharged while in the CD player, which is very conenient.

The CD player is a all around stylish and convenient player. When I bought it, I had to shell out a good amount of money, but I've never seen a player with such good anti-shock.

The old Sony players were awful...they never made it past a year. The new ones are very heavy duty so I don't have to worry about protecting it. Plus the 40-second shock proof lets you exercise with it.

This discman is good. It's anti skip protection is reliable and great for using in your car with a tape adapter. I feel that the sound quality is wonderful.
