I have been using this product for years in conjunction with a store bought detergent used for particularly greasy items. This product does work, but like the vast majority of eco-friendly products it is not as effective as normal store bought brands. This product will also work better if you shake it slightly before use. For some reason components seem to settle out. It tends to be less effective the closer to the bottom of the bottle you get.

According to an email from the company the Biokleen Hand Dishwashing Liquid's product formulation has not been changed in years. I suspect that is the reason their product doesn't quite compete. All that said it is the best dishwashing liquid on the eco-friendly market.
