i bought this because the water here has turned too cold for a 3/2, and can definitely say this is a nice step up from the quiksilver syncro, my other fullsuit (which is $100+ cheaper). i took it out in low-50s water today and stayed quite warm. the extra millimeter of neoprene helped, of course, but there were a lot of technological differences from my syncro that i think did just as much. the taping was a big one, of course. and the floodgate in the back (which ended up being another layer of solid neoprene behind the zipper, like a wetsuit within a wetsuit for that part) worked great. there was also a thin piece of neoprene/fabric that attaches to the back and then goes over your head and lays against your chest at your neckline to help make the collar more waterproof. i definitely got a lot less water down my back (almost none, actually) when a wave went over me. the elastic bands at the wrists and ankles helped a lot with that too. all of that did make it a bit harder to take on and off, but that's probably because it's new too. once it was on it was very comfortable. oh, and i can't find the key pocket ... it doesn't seem to be where it is on the info card's legend. i'm not saying it isn't there ... just that i can't find it.
