It might be cool for little kids but it's annoying for adults like me.

Actually, this song was performed by "Ohio Express". I know this because, as a little kid, I was a big, big fan of the Ohio Express (loved the Monkees too, so that shows you where I was coming from). The mistake is understandable, though, because I think the 2 bands-- Ohio Express and 1910 Fruitgum Company-- were pretty much interchangeable and had several band members in common. I actually had a single from the 1910 Fruitgum Company that, if I remember right, my father had bought for me when we were at Palisades Park together-- "One, Two, Three Red Light". "Yummy, Yummy, Yummy" was a ridiculous song-- so ridiculous that pretty much everybody missed the sexual implications of the lyrics. Caught up in a mood of nostalgia recently, I bought a CD on Amazon of the "Ohio Express" record I had as a kid. A lot of it was pretty bad, but some of the songs actually aren't so terrible, sort of a weird blend of bubble-gum and psychedelic music that, if you're in the right mood (non-sober, in other words), can be sort of intriguing.

One of a very small number of songs that is even more ludicrous than its title, which in turn is even more ludicrous than the name of the band.
