I have had my glass GE cooktop for one year now (which I love), and the Cerama Bryte that came with it really works well. They recommend that you scrape off any large amounts of burnt-on residues with a straight-edge blade, which makes the whole cleaning process faster. I use a multi-surface/ glass cleaner after scraping (if scraping is necessary) to get rid of water soluble residues, then use the Cerama Bryte and polish with a clean dry paper towel. It is the only way to reliably get rid of those greasy smears that linger after you use anything else, and it also gets rid of any stubborn burnt stuff that remains after the preliminary scraping. The cooktop absolutely looks like new afterwards.

This stuff came with my new stove/oven when I bought my house last year. I'm almost out, so came here to buy some more and out of curiousity, checked the reviews, since it wasn't 5 stars. From my experience, it's very simple and easy to use, and my stove-top (glass/ceramic) still looks brand new and there have been boil overs of water and all kinds of food splashes burned onto it. Absolutely works perfect and really have to wonder, as the other person below alludes to, what in the hek is jhunter talking about? -- unless he/she has a regular metal stove-top and not the glass type. Anyway, if you have a glass top/ceramic, this product will take care of your messes/stains, no problem.
