Soot Out Glass and Surface Cleaner 5

I have a pellet stove that vents through the wall to the outside of my house. Soot builds up around the stove vent on the outside of the house. I use Soot Out to clean the glass on my pellet stove every 3 or 4 weeks and it does a GREAT job on my vinyl siding on the outside of the house. I use it to clean outdoors twice each year. I strongly recommend this product.

This stuff is EXCELLENT. The soot on the glass comes right off, and works best on hot glass (as per the directions). With All the other products, I would have had to wait for the door to cool down before I could use it.

I completely disagree with Mr King's review. I purchased this product early this fall to assist in maintaining my new VT Castings, Winter Warm insert. I found that it just melted the soot and creosote accumulations away. I also found that if I kept up with the maintenance of the stove - cleaning the interior of the door and it's large glass area every 2 weeks or so, one simple application was sufficient to keeping looking like new.

A new discovery was found this spring when I ran out a well known engine cleaner for my truck and remembered the Soot Out cleaner was in the garage; I read the directions which included grease and thought, well, why not.

Wow, what an amazing job it did, even better than the well known product designed for the purpose. I got to thinking, why stop here since it didn't hurt the painted surfaces inside the engine compartment?

I wondered, "...how about the magnesium aluminum wheels?", well it was like magic, not only did it melt the winter accumulation of disc brake pad dust, it cleaned the raised white lettering on the tires - and even took the gunky surface film off the black tire surfaces leaving the tires looking perfectly "flat black".

Why stop there, I thought; my truck is a white SUV with 202K mi, we all know what happens over time to white vehicles, they all develop deep background stains that are next to impossible to remove. Guess, what? ...it even brought back the clean, "true white" color - better than any compounding I've ever done, with a fraction of the effort. I only wish I could provide photos to substantiate what my results were.

Of course I suggest that you first "test" surfaces that you've attempted to clean in the past and see how it performs for you.

NO, I'm not employed by the company, I actually work for a state government regulatory agency.

Well, I tried this on my fireplace insert window, and found it almost completely ineffective. Save your money, use plain soap and water instead.
