03/01/2006 | I have long been a fan of Estee Lauder cosmetics but I agree with debrak regarding the objectionable aroma of the lipsticks. It is a tobacco-like odor which seems to stay with the lipstick,therefore producing a similar taste. It is a shame that this creates a negative opinion of the lipstick because I do like the choice of colors and the staying power of the product.

02/28/2006 | Color selection and staying power seem fine to me, but my mom and I have been discussing a strange odor/taste that seems to have arisen in their lipsticks and wand lip glosses/hiliters in recent years. I get a strong tobacco-y smell and slightly less strong taste, while my mom just says both are "weird." This wasn't true in earlier products -- I know because today I found one I bought 8 years ago and never opened, and it has no such odor.

03/17/2005 | I love the Pure Color Glosses from Estee Lauder! They are super smooth, fabulous shades, and they make my lips look so much better than other, cheaper brands! They're silky, not at all sticky! They are a LITTLE expensive at $22 for a tube, but it is worth it to me!

01/05/2005 | I have several Lauder lipsticks but recently purchased Electric lipstick. I went back the same day and purchased 3 more. The color, the consistancy, the shine!! Very happy with this line of Lauder!!

07/14/2004 | Even though it claims to be pure color long lasting, I can say that it usually lasts about an hour before disappearing. The best part about this lipstick is the taste - way better than most.

01/11/2001 | This lipstick is great. I would give the product quality a five plus. The different lines(moisturizing, DayWear) are very long lasting or do moisturize as their names claim. The color assortment is good although the makeup brand is mainly aimed towards older and more wealthy women. This somewhat limits the color selection. I rated this brand a 4.5 because it is an expensive product. My favorite shade is Haute Pink, but it was discontinued.

01/10/2001 | Expensive, but promotional items are great. I like the subtle colors. Very classy, not trashy looking. Texture is good. Don't like having to sharpen eyeliner, as it is a thick pencil.

01/08/2001 | I think Estee Lauder is a ripoff. It's expensive and it isn't that great. It's like a normal Longs Drugs' lipstick, but you're charged so much for it. They focus on skin products mostly, not really on lipsticks.

12/01/2000 | My biggest reason for disliking Estee Lauder's lipstick is that it has a strong perfume scent. The scent stays with you even if the lipstick is gone. So when you eat a meal with the lipsticks on, not only do you taste the food but the lipstick also.

11/24/2000 | Lipstick, I think, is like clothing. They can be expensive because people think the quality is good, but sometimes they can be deceiving. I think that it is too expensive for one thing and it's similar to many lipsticks that are sold in drug stores. It's just the name and because it's an imported item.

11/22/2000 | The lipstick colors are strong, but the longlasting lipstick stains your lips so that it starts out dark, but then fades to bright pink when you try to wipe it off. It also has a strange taste and smell to it.
