I really want to learn capoeira. Another extremely acrobatic and athletic dance style. What an awesome combination of dancing and being able to kick ass all in one.

Fantastic! What a creative way for slaves to continue to engage in their African fighting ceremonies without being caught on the act: they just added music and made it look like a dance! Next thing you know it has transcended over the centuries and even geographical borders!

Fascinating. I can never get enough of this dance/martial art OR the music. Love watching it.

This is the coolest dance in the world. I used to live in Sao Paulo, Brasil, and I would go to the park on Sundays just to watch people do this fluid dance which looks a lot like kickboxing. A big circle of people would form and people would take turns releasing huge roundhouse kicks over each other's heads while the circle of people sang. The way the dance works there is always a couple in the middle of the circle (male / male, male / female, female / female.. it doesn't matter), and as one person would fade back into the circle, another would take their place. Very cool stuff...
