Yes, I've actually used this before. I figure if my landlord has the decency to hold my checks for literally months at a time (and making me unable to do Christmas last year, the dumb bitch) then I can have the decency to pay my rent late now and then. Take THAT to the bank, Angela!

I've come close but never actually had to say the words. One of the great things about online billing is the bigger margin for spacing things.

(I would love to know how many people who say this also tried the my dog ate my homework excuse as a kid. )

this is one of those no win comments. it is used so much in lies, that when I am actually telling the truth and the check really IS in the mail you get that "sure it is liar" look.
