Absolutely the best lipstick I've ever used. I am usually a Prescriptives user and I like some of the Smashbox colors, but I bought Shiseido's Perfecting Lipstick after trying it at Sephora. The color is luscious, stays on all day and leaves a beautiful smooth color on your lips. I had been looking for a deep pink with some frost for ages and selected a few candidates during a Sephora trip. I loved Shiseido's P14 (Crushed Velvet) the minute I put it on. I just purchased another one to keep in my makeup supplies in case they get rid of this perfect color. Highly recommended.

A luxurious lipstick. It is of great quality. It is from Japan and their entire line is excellent. it is smooth. It goes on very well. There are a wide variety of colors.

An okay lipstick. It has nice shades but doesn't keep your lips moist. It kind of cracks in your lip grooves. It is too expensive not to keep good condition on your lips.

I own a stick from Shiseido. It's a matte color lipstick. Although Shiseido does not offer a big variety of colors, the lipsticks last long and don't dry your lips.

More expensive, but it will last longer than your average lipstick without drying out your lips. Shiseido has a great selection of colors and in my experience, helpful and knowledgable reps.

Although I can't vouch for their product from actual use I did use to work for a subsidiary of theirs that makes Salon products. All I can really say about their stuff is that it was highly regarded by those who used it, very expensive, and fairly extravagant (ie. eye shadow and such made from the crushed wings of butterflies -this seems extravagant to me but maybe it's not) Every women in my life at the time were very excited for the employee discount.
