Excellent for bone pain/muscle pain, but there's no point in buying the brand name. By FDA regs, the store brand/generic has to be the same active ingredients. I know some people swear that different brands work better for them.....I think thats the placebo effect(you believe it works better, therefore it works better.)

For the second time my wife and I have experienced some very bad side effects of this medicine when we have given it to our 6 year old daughter. On two occasions now she wakes up in the middle of the night screaming at the top of her lungs. She is talking (in what we would discribe as in her sleep). However she appears to answer you when you speak to her and we have now consulted our family physician who has suggested that the ibuprophin is having a bad reaction within her system. The only solution we were given at the time of the last episode was to have her drink a lot of water to try and dilute the medicine as quickly as possible. I can only suggest to take the warnings a little more seriosly.

The best I've found for reducing fever.

Great for back aches or joint pain. I take a couple before I go hiking. No muscle ache. If you are going to be walking or on your feet all day take 2 before you start. Not so effective for headaches (extra strength Excedrin)for me. My husband swears Motrin is not as good as Advil. Does anyone else experience this? I know they have the same active ingredient. Bioavailability???

This is one of the best NSAD's, that is, non-steroidal anti-inflamatory drugs. Quick, effective, great. One of the best things for pain is a combo of 800mgs of Motrin and a gram of acetometophin, or tylenol.

When I was in the hospital after having my first child they gave me Motrin-IB and I can tell you it worked for the pain in my "lower area" but it usually never worked on my headaches I would have to take Motrin-IB and tylenol, but it was really good so I give it a 4!

Motrin doesn't always work. That's the real problem with taking it. You have to take a few sometimes, and it may not work. I would use Tylenol if you have a bad headache first.

Motrin is an all purpose pain reliever. It's very effective, yet leaves subtle or no side effects. It's what's being used in my household, and will always be used!

Excellent at getting rid of all pain. Good for cramps. Took it after I had my son by C-section. It was all I needed.

Motrin is the best painkiller on the market. It is the most expensive but it is worth it.

This pain reliever/fever reducer didn't seem to do all I expected it to. I took it a few days ago because I have the flu. I expected it to reduce my fever and take away some of my body aches. Even when I accidentlly took more, it didn't help.

A great medication for a variety of illnesses. I take it after my muscles are sore from working out, and it helps me recover quickly. It is not harsh on my stomach, like other medications can be.

This is the only thing that works on my headaches. Nothing else is strong enough.
