Cetaphil: I love your products and have been using them for years but please replace the pump with the former squeeze cap. The pump always stops working and I have to remove it from the bottle then pour out the location/soap and replace the unusable pump cap. Thanks.

I have very oily skin, and monthly breakouts so I have to be careful about what I use on my face. I have had good results with this cleanser. It helps with the oiliness, and doesn't dry my skin out like bar soaps can. Unlike a lot of people, I don't think that this product is cheap, at least not monetary wise. At Walmart it was around $10 depending on size of the bottle. The only complaint I have about it is that sometimes it doesn't lather well, and I love my facial cleansers to lather.

I am a 32 year old female, who has struggled off and on with acne for years. I have been on oral antibiotics, and tried different topical medications, over-the-counter, and prescription both. I currently use tretinoin cream .1% and persa-gel (10% benzoyl peroxide), along with doxycycline pills, twice daily. I must say, even though I use these products, prescribed to me by my dermatologist, I still haven't been free of acne. I do go though periods of clear skin, but because of the marks that are left on my face after the break outs, I still feel awful. I was recently told to try Cetaphil--I chose the wash for normal to oily skin. I must say-WOW! It makes my face feel better immediately after washing with it. I've tried many different kinds of face wash, and all of them still leave my face looking oily. This not only removes the oil, and keeps it at bay long after I've washed, but it also seems to be helping around my chin area, which is usually peeling because of the topical oi... Read more

February 19 2008 is todays date and I went to review Cetaphil on the web because my face is hurt and I know its because of this cleanser. I never really used many if at all any cleansers before (I think last time I used one was over 6 years ago). I never put anything on my face either. As far as make up goes I used the same make up foundation a few times a month for a while and no problems. I know with out a doubt its this Cetaphil stuff I bought a month ago because ever since I started using it my face starting getting dry and now I have a blemish rash on both sides of my cheeks. My forehead is itchy and cheeks are itchy. I used Cetaphil twice a day for my oily skin. Once in the morning and once before bed and my skin is so dry now. When I look at it under the light I can see my skin flaking from dryness. that is so weird considering I have such oily skin. I dont even have sensistive skin never have. But I am writing this review because this product is definately not good. I'm sure it... Read more

One of the worst cleansers I've used. I think I must have been allergic because my face broke out in a rash. The moisturizer was not strong enough for my skin. My skin was left flaky and itchy. I now use dove and it's great.

it IS a great cleanser, and it is dermatologist recommended. but, if you go to walmart you can find the equate brand, the off brand, for a much cheaper price when they are the exact same thing.

A lot of the below posts refer to this product as, in so many words, the "Cheap man/woman's facial cleanser"; I have to disagree, because this product is really all anyone needs. This creamy , filmy facewash not only keeps nutrients in, but also keeps the bad guys out.  Our natural facial resources are good enough to keep things fresh, so why pan for these "expensive, hip" products that only complicate the picture?  Cetaphil brings your face back to the healthy tabula rosa that you remember from childhood.

Bought this stuff after reading about it in a men's mag and I've got no complaints. Neither does my girlfriend who stole it, which means it must really be good as she pampers herself with Sephora products in every other element of her daily preening. If you want to wash your face with something decent that won't break the bank,  this is the stuff for you!

All cleansers from the drug store or anything like that are horrible for your face. They strip your skin of all its nutrients and natural oils. Leaving your face working hard to bring back to normal, causing breakouts. How do i know this...well let me tell you. I'm 25 and i had skin that, out of nowhere, looked like i was a teenager again. Well after a cry of help to my friend who is an essitition gave me information that saved me. So here it is ladies.... she says....if your going to buy any product from a regular store (Target, Longs....) buy Cetaphil. It is the olny product that dosn't hurt your face, but it dosnt help it either. See your essitition. I use all natural stuff, Eminence organic skin care. It really helps. SO if your poor buy Cetaphil if u have the extra cash buy better products.

Fabulous Product! Light, non offensive fragrance. doesn't irritate my sensative skin. Doesn't over Dry. I used it for years before switching to Aloette.

For the most part this is a good product. I used it for about two weeks in conjunction with the facial moisturizer. Both are good products, however, it did not do much in reducing my acne problem. I guess it's just not the right product for me. Still a good product, though, in terms of not drying the skin out and it's very gentle.

This is actually a rave for the Cetaphil knockoff Wal*Mart brand called Equate cleanser. I haven't personally tried the actual Cetaphil, but the knockoff brand leaves my skin soft and glowy. It works especially well for people who use acne medications. It doesn't exfoliate or take off make up, so it's best in the morning and for non make-up wearers. I've heard other girls rave that the Equate brand is even better than the brand it's trying to mimic!

I gotta hand it to them. I was in my friends b-room. Just picked it up out of the shower and used it since i didn't bring any of my own... My face was so soft! no reaction, just smooth skin. Also, it relaxed me. I looked at it at the store thought, kinda exspensive around 12$

I love Cetaphil. I buy the kind for Normal & Oily Skin. I sometimes have to wash my face twice to get all the makeup off, but still it doesn't make my face greasy or tight.

This is the best facial cleanser i've ever used! Especailly because alot of other facial cleansers are really harsh to sensative skin, for example afer I used Neutrogena deep clean facial cleanser my skin was so dry that it was hard to move my face. I would definetly recommand this product to anyone who is looking for a facial cleanser that acually workes and leaves skin feeling incredibly soft and refreshed. I'm sticking to this product because it's really great and I'm not lying, just try it.

I've got pretty sensitive skin (for example, neutrogena face wash made me break into a rash) and cetaphil worked wonders for me. Its light and gentle and I also use it to remove my eye makeup! :) I especially like how its light and fragrance free.

I didn't enjoy this cleanser as much as I enjoy PanOxyl. First thing is that is doesn't take off your makeup (foundation). I like the fact that it leaves your skin soft and that it is scent-free but I do have oily skin and my face seems to get oily more quickly when using this cleanser

This is the only thing that didnt irritate my already irritated skin from retin-a. Cheap, good and does take off small amounts of makeup (big jobs require me to use grapeseed oil first) I will NEVER go back!

The worst cleanser I would ever have in my life. It left white flaky things on my nose area and as well mywhole face. I'm just like a snowman and have to rub all over my face to make those white falkes off my skin. Oh thank god, who is the creator of this product? This really sucks...

This is the best cheap skincare product out there! I personally use La Mer, because I need a good healing line, and I think it's totally worth the money...but for genuine skincare that doesn't put you in debt, Cetaphil is the way to go.

Cetaphil is a terrific basic cleanser for sensitive skin. It feels light and smooth, and it doesn't leave a sticky residue. Cetaphil is great to use in the morning when you don't need a heavy-duty cleanser, and it works well for shaving your legs. I don't use it in the evening, though, because it doesn't do a very good job removing make-up. Cetaphil is reasonably priced, and you can find it at any grocery store or drugstore. It knocks the socks off the high-priced skincare products sold at department stores.

Inexpensive enough to use all over (I buy it at my doctor's office's pharmacy in a giant bottle for $9!) and the only thing that has NEVER been too harsh on my skin. Takes off my make up just fine (I don't wear much), and leaves my skin soft and clean. I've tried everything, including Clinique's very expensive "regimine" - which, by the way, ended up being the cause of a skin reaction that I went to my doctor for...where he recommended I try Cetaphil. I'll never waste my money on expensive, fancy, big name face cleansers again!

THe best cleanser i ever use. It might not feel tingly clean but it does the job! It made my combo skin all soft and peachy. But i dont think it really removes your makeup all the way. If you dont wear makeup then i think this is good cleanser.

It leaves skin soft and smooth but it doesn't seem to wash off makeup. It's too gentle, it doesn't clean that well. I have oily skin so it might be better for dry skin because it's moisturized.

Cetaphil is an interesting choice for a face wash. It can be used as a lather(although you need to work at getting it in to one), or on a dry face. It cleans and leaves the face moisturized. Overall, it does a good job, but usually it is to expensive. It won't leave your face dry or flaky.

This is a great wash for normal skin. It's really gentle. It's also good for sensitive skin. However, people with oily skin should use a stronger face wash. It should be used with something stronger, like blemish remover and toner.

Cetaphil has great skin care. Everyone says their dermotologist recommends Cetaphil so that is how I first heard about it. Their products are gentle but work really well. It takes off mascara and makes your skin feel clean without becoming dry.

Great for sensitive skin. Not too harsh. Does not leave you skin feeling too dry. The liquid form can be used with or without rinsing.
