John Riggins was an extremely powerful back with deceptive speed. He was a perfect match for Joe Gibbs running game, and in my opinion one of the greatest offensive lines in NFL history.

Riggins is the ultimate Redskins running back. His bruising style of running was emblematic of what the Redskins offense was under Joe Gibbs in the 80's.
