Another Big gas guzzler that can't go on the rough and fun trails in Arizona.

Gas hog, but otherwise a good vehicle.

Have a 2000 Eddie Bauer. It's truly a gas guzzler, but we love the room it has when we're traveling with the kids and mom. No major mechanical problems to date. Recently had the cruise control switch done that was causing the fires. Would have had it done sooner, but we were never notified by Ford that our vehicle had a recall on it.

This vehicle could be put together with Elmer's Glue and it would still have better workmanship than it has now. Typical American engineering post 1970s. Just market the thing as the ultra-conservative freedom mobile. Flag humpers across middle america will come out in droves to buy them. I don't know what's worse, that they waste their money giving to the GOP or that they waste it on this cheap piece of crap SUV. I've never owned one, but I can imagine at least 4 or 5 maintenance jobs a year with the cheap parts and laughable engineering. These things should be banned from the roads based on their size alone. SUVs were not meant to be any bigger than a Jeep Cherokee, which is the only size of a true SUV. Expeditions are merely humungous trucks and are never used for off-road activity.

We have a 1998 EB Expedition and we love it. We bought it new and it has over 70k miles over it with no problems. The only reason it doesn't get a 5 star rating is because the ride is little rough at some points, and it's certainly a gas guzzler. However, you won't find a better, more roomy and powerful ride at a better price.

We have a 2000 Ford Expedition, and love it!! It is very comfortable and roomy for traveling with our three children, plus nice to drive. I would highly recommend!!

my freinds' got an expedition,....there majorlly fun,i like to play with the electronic 3rd row seats that go up and down..

2004 - bought new and paid cash. Piece of sh+t. So far at 3500 miles. 4 new brakes. Replaced pinion gears, bearings, all wheel clutches, and the Dam Differential. And then the drive shaft too. And even more stuff I don't understand, and the darn thing still whines when we drive it. This is a NO BUY. Were going to hire a lawyer now and get it returned under the Texas Lemon Law.

Im my opinion, the 03 Expedition beats everything in the class. Despite being underpowered, it can haul 8 people comfortably. This actually looks like an SUV- although going off road you'll be better in the 02 model.

Ok, i just want to tell all of you people who think the Expediotn sux, that you are all fu<king stupid. It is a great S.U.V. and for you, mill 4387om you are a complete dumba$$, The Transmission is man made so yah it can break and you probably beat the heII out of it. Tahoes suck they say Chevy on them what the heII are you thinking?? and besides the safety and power ratings are much higher on the Expedition than that junky Tahoe

This is a great family hauler that handles remarkably well. We love ours.

Does not look good, will never buy or even test drive this vehicle.

My wife and I purchased a "97" XLT. Possibly could be Fords best vehicle to date. Lots of luxury and piece of mind.

Piece of junk. I bought one (a 98) and the transmission blew at 25,000 miles. There was also a rattle in the rear suspension somwhere and the dealer couldn't figure out what it was. Sold it after the new tranny and bought a 99 Tahoe - which has been fine.

When Ford made the Expedition, they went above and beyond the competition in the SUV market.

It is truly a great vehicle.

I absolutely LOVE my '99 Eddie Bauer Expedition. It does eat gas, but the payoff in luxury and style outweighs that minor detraction. I am not an ADOLESCENT either, so BITE ME, Anonymous, whoever you are with the gall to insult me, but without guts to state your name. Expedition rocks!

Awesome truck! Lots of power! Eats gas however. Drives smoothly.

I believe the ford Expedition is the best SUV for the simple fact that it's economical while nice and spacious. The drive never feels uncomfortable.
