lick me otter. i have the R1100S. and spend many weekends in the canyons north of L.A. i like hunting squids on brand new 600s. the telelever lets me go into corners much faster. and hold a line over the bad pavement. in the real world these are great bikes. the abs is not really noticable until it saves your life. came within four inches of broadsiding a deer on big tujunga. most guys i see have 1000cc bikes they don't understand and can't control. the S suits my skill level, and i know that it will still be entertaining after 100,000 miles. and i can do a valve job in forty minutes. it's one of the last bikes that can be maintained by normal humans. john i am not delusional. the thing is heavy, and makes a 98 hp on it's best day. i love it anyway. p.s. it's also one of the few bike comfortabel for tall guys

Yeah, I am an ultra cool middle-aged guy going through a mid-life crisis. Maybe I can get some hot college chicks on my Beamer cycle.

I hear they have seat warmers and are big, safe and very reliable.

I love the look of the bike. At the same time, I love the control. I need to learn more about the bike.

Great bike. Not exciting, but very fundamentally sound.
