Now I'm quite far from being a rocket scientist.. but can someone explain to me if Rezko is the real estate developer/etc... when they coordinated their purchases, did Rezko's wife become the owner and seller of the property to Obama... if not because he knew well before it was not knuckle-headed? I'm likely way off base here.
I suppose Obama doesn't have to worry about losing Rezko's vote given that he's a felon.

Anyone's association with Tony Rezko should be examined, but we already know Obama had a close one. In fact, it could be argued that without Rezko, Obama wouldn't have had the finances to enter politics. And now, a story...
When I was in 5th grade I was having some problems. I won't go into what the problems were because a) it was a long time ago and b) it has nothing to do with the ultimate point. I bring it up because these problems started to show in my grades. When I brought home a report card that was less than spectacular, my mother obviously wanted to know what was going on. My ten year old logic told me that I should get the spotlight off of me. A classmate named Gary was the first person to spring to mind so I jumped at the chance to shift the attention to his grades. I chose this despite the fact that, as far as I knew, Gary had made straight As.
"You should have seen Gary's grades! He made a...."
And that's as far as I got. My mother informed me that we weren't talking about Gary's grades, we were talking about my grades and an answer to that question was what she wanted.
I think about that every time I see a subject like this and the knee jerk reaction of so many people is to point a finger at someone else and say "But look at what they did!" even if it doesn't really have anything to do with the topic at hand. Want to point out McCain's associations? Then stop using ten year old logic and and start a McCain list.

Yep, Rezko is a bag of shit, no question. He's also a bag of shit who has raised money for Republicans in Illinois, as well as Democrats, so he's an equal opportunity scum bucket. That being said, attacking Obama on a guilt by association basis is a dangerous road for the McCain campaign to take. There are some unsavory, or dubious characters associated with the GOP campaign, and McCain has been a member of at least one association that is of questionable standing. John McCain was a member and sat on the board of the US Council for World Freedom ("USCWF"), an organization noted for its extreme ideology, racism, and anti-semitism. This organization has been described as "largely a collection of Nazis, fascists, anti-Semites, sellers of forgeries, vicious racialists, and corrupt self seekers."
