How about we do a count of how many times he arrived 'late' to vote and how many times he voted as present, and look into when his books were being written and pbulisehd to find out if he wasn't in fact doing his memoirs while being payed for being a senator and not putting forth any sort of legislation or.... what did he do? Lots of pork requests.. perhaps that's where his time went... I can see it now, "I'm sorry America, I didn't mean to be late to address this act of terrorism on our land but I was uh, yeah, uh...I'm present now. Hey, who let the NYPost in here? I told you I didn't want anyone in here who questions me. Now where was I.. .oh yes," a murmur from the crowd, "Oh, there is ?A stain? That's just some pork I was pushing around before I got here."

As mag says, he's a a hard thinker. Imagine what another 150 to 180 more "aye" votes for liberal programs and proposals would do to his leadership place among an already left-wing Congress, to the label "most liberal" member of the Senate. He might be "twice" as liberal as, say, Ted Kennedy, or John Kerry, Dick Durbin. This guy needs to be elected president to rubber stamp the genius of Nancy Pelosi and Harry Reid? WE HAVE A WINNER!!

I wonder if he'd sign a bill "Present?"

It's pretty clear that Obama has thought harder than most about the big issues facing the US. Two years on the stump will do that, and over time, there is no where to hide (see Sarah Palin).
