Triumph Speed Triple 5

wanted a Speed Trip 1050 as soon as they were on the market.got 1 beginning of the this year.not stopped grinning yet!gearbox is'nt the best but the amount of grunt more than compensates!!handles amazing, went to the TT on it & gave the sportsbike brigade a run for there money over the mountain section!its a blast to ride.had pedestrians telling me its a good looking bike when I've stopped at traffic lights.best money I've ever spent!!!!!

Was looking for the "perfect" bike, almost went for the FZ-1 and am SO GLAD I didn't. Have 1100 miles on my black '06. This bike has character, visual and aural. It turns tons of heads and the teenies on bullet bikes can't stop staring. 1rst gear wheelies are a breeze, still working on 2nd, though, clutch-popping not as easy as I'd hoped. I removed mirrors and put on bar-end cafe style. I actually LOVE not having a fairing. Gearbox is not the best I've ridden but isn't bad, misses occasionally. Power is tremendous: I love the off-throttle gurgle. Recommend tailkit with integrated signals. Footpegs flip up too easily, may replace those. Rear brake is weak, I've read it only needs upgraded pads. Very happy about my choice, no regrets, wish there was a track near here!

Triumph Speed Triple 5

just got my 600 mile tune on my new '06 Triumph Speed Triple. i've never aspired to own a Triumph, and they've never been on my radar till i came into contact with the '06 S3. after wanting a muscle bike since the 80's but not wanting the style of the v-max (lamo harley look) i have found the perfect bike i've been looking for. the sitting position is perfect for my tastes as i come from 35 years of riding dirt. you sit on top of the bike instead of laying down on it like a cafe. the power is very respectable. it's hard to keep the front tire on the ground when accelerating and even when moderately acclerating, the front end gets so light you think the front is going to drift. just amazing bike. it handles very, very solid, no head shake, no speed wobble, it tracks perfectly. i highly rec' this bike. you can track stand stop signs becasue of it's amazing balance and the loos alone will have bike lovers crowding around it when your parked somehwere. it's the bike. -b

I looked at everything from Ducati's to Yamahas. But kept coming back to the Speed 3. I am happy I did. It is AWESOME in every way (except for the mirrors, I like my shoulders but don't like to look at them all the time) Just look at the reviews on the Internet and you will see what I mean. And last but not least is the incredible sound coming from this thing; it is unreal, sounds like a Porsche on steroids.

Wide open fun. corners like a superbike with the riding position of a touring bike. great all rounder with the exception of the slab of pain they call a seat!
