I live in Cincinnati, Ohio. AT&T is the worst wireless carrier in Cincinnati and across much of the tri-state area. No one at this company cares about the customers or the quality of service they are providing. Their customer service reps are rude and incompetent when you call them with a problem. I am on my 2nd Blackberry with them and am still having problems with dropped calls, poor voice quality where there is static and crackling when trying to make a call, missed or late voice mails and text messages, and poor reception with a lot of dead zones. Their towers are being overloaded by all of the iphones and 3G phones and they won't spend any money to improve voice quality, dropped calls or coverage. I am calling them to cancel my contract early. Believe me, its worth paying the early termination fee just to not have their crappy service. Avoid them or you will be really unhappy.

I absolutely hate AT&T. they are the worst phone company ever in the universe! I hate them sooooo sooo much. bunch of dumb and idiot people are there sitting as customer service! expect to be on the line for at least 2 hours and get transfered over at least 50 times and at the end you get no result! F@$% AT&T.

TERRIBLE COMPANY! AWFUL Customer Service! They created and billed an account in our name with their local store telephone number as our account number, continued billing our actual account, and will not resolve our outstanding balance because they told us that even though we had not received the other bill, but because they were not sent back, that was our acknowledgment that we had received them and agreed to the charges. Now, we have two accounts with A T & T, one of which we didn't even create, it was created by the employee of the store, our current account that was suppose to be billed as a bundle but has been billed separately, and a 9 month outstanding balance that has been sent to collections on something we didn't even know about. They are crooks! I have asked 9 different customer service representatives for their Corporate Office Information and I was told that Corporate does not accept phone calls due to the high volume of customer complaints. I wonder why!?!

My husband and I recently moved to a location where you have no choice but to get AT&T for a home phone service. Every single time it has rained the phone line dies. When I called over and over, I was sent to every automated system imaginable as they never want to actually talk to their customers unless making a sale. When I finally did get through to someone she, Wendy, hung up on me. When I called back outraged, Wendy got my phone call again. This time she tried to say we were disconnected by mistake. I demanded a credit on the account or else I would cancel as well as someone to actually take into account and fix the problem rather than "patching it up till next time." They credited my account that time and that time only... now, we are having severe weather and again... no phone. No surprise. AT&T has done nothing but give my husband and I the run-a-round since signing up with them. Anyone who asks, this is a crap service that will not be in our home as soon as we can find someone else.AT&T only works sometimes and when you call... they will just rudely transfer you from one departement to another if you are so lucky as to actually reach a live person... then you will only end up in an automated system. My advise is to call and request a new service line... they will JUMP for your business so they can greedily grab your money... then and only then will you speak to a live person until they tire of you and "kick you to the curb."

I've got to tell you that AT&T absolutely suck big time. I'm demanding that they credit me for the full day 9/19 for both telephone LACK OF SERVICE and NO INTERNET SERVICE . AT&T sucks LOTS and they have absolutely incapable people on their customer service front lines. They passed me around like a Cracker Jack box- department to department. Meanwhile, they CRIPPLED my business as I was screwed up the nether regions WITH NO PHONE OR INTERNET for the entire day 9/19. I'M DEMANDING A CREDIT TO MY ACCOUNT. These guys are abhorrent. If I can find a better provider, they are HISTORY.

Is a horrible service, they abuse their customers by adding a lot of hidding fees, I only been two month with the company and they have charge me over $1,000 bucks...WONT RECOMEND THIS COMPANY TO NO ONE!

AT&T is the absolute worst - I ordered service for my mother who just moved into a AT&T only facility, was told they would go out and install it. Seven days later and still no dial tone, they told me they would go out to fix it yesterday (didn't show and don't show any record today of saying they would). Today, they are willing to go back out to do the job right for another $65 for the first half hour and then more charges for any incremental 15 minute period. Anytime Verizon has installed my phone, the technician makes sure the phone is working before he leaves - and for only ONE charge. Complete and utter b#&*#W*(*! from AT&T - I will never EVER order AT&T for myself and anyone else in my family!!!!

I have my business phone and internet with At&t. After my contract is over, I am going to be out their services for sure. I cannot have any more patient for them. Every month I would get a surprise amount that I need to pay, and when I call their customer representatives, no one really knows how to handle the problem. They keep transfer me to another person without telling me, not to mention, sometimes they are so rude and so unprofessional. I asked him if I can talk to a manager or someone who can help me, he said all he can do is to transfer me to that department. So by the time they switch me back and forth to different people, it is the end of the day and things still haven't get solved. Why can't the higher management department see this? I'm in business, so I know if they keep doing business like this, they will be out of business one day.

In March 2009 I switched from having a phone/internet service through AT&T to just the internet service. Previously, it wasn't an option. You had to have the phone to have the internet. Through the grapevine I'd heard that this wasn't the case anymore (of course it wasn't AT&T who told me this) but, I finally made the switch. The plan was to disconnect my old service one day and start a new one a few days prior to the old one being disconnected. This didn't happen. I ended up with no service at all, and when I called, they said the first order didn't go through. Weird, because I'd already gotten the modem for the new service, but whatever, AT&T.So they hook up my new line of service, it starts working on the promised date, but then I end up with two bills. They'd created two totally new accounts and billed me for both. When I called to fix it, I tried to tell them the second line was the only one that had service going to it so please don't unhook it. Well, they ended up unhooking the only working line, yet again. What really sucks, is I do most of my work from home on the internet. So I couldn't even work!It took them almost two weeks to get someone out here to fix it. Each time I'd call, I spent at least an hour on the phone with a representative trying to explain the whole situation. I guess they didn't put notes on my file or what have you because each time I called they were completely clueless as to what I was talking about. I let that one go, but then last week they really surprised me yet again. My elderly, disabled mother somehow managed to miss paying her bill. She's had service with AT&T since I was a kid, never missed a bill, never made a late payment, etc. After a few weeks on ONE missed bill they cut off her service. After 20+ years! Do they have no customer service? They even called and Mom promised she'd pay them everything at the first of next month since she lives on disability and only gets paid on the 3rd. Comcast is sounding really great right about now...

At&t serivce is HORRIBLE!!! I moved to a small town and At&t is my only option. It took me two weeks to set up internet service. I had to call them a total of 8 times, each time I was transferred and transferred and transferred. Each department blaming the next with no results. When there is a problem (which there is almost every week), I plan to always be on hold for over an hour for something minor. Do not use their services if you have another provider else where.I would never use their service if I had an option in this small town.

I switched from Verizon to AT&T about six months ago, and i would never go back. Whenever I go to the At&t store, I receive wonderful service. I have always had to wait for at least fifteen minutes at the Verizon store, but AT&T is very prompt and all their sales people are very knowledgeable. In addition, their phone customer service is wonderful as well. They are helpful and know exactly what to do to fix the problem.

Rude and unprofessional customer service! It should be minus one star!

I switched to AT&T about a year ago and will never go back to my previous provider. I have the Internet, cable, and phone bundle package and pay about $40 less per month than I did with my previous provider. I have access to more channels since I switched to AT&T cable and I like the fact that I get free Wi-Fi included with my Internet service. Plus, I received a cash back offer when I signed up at this site: www.Att-Services.net.

I changed cell phone carriers from Virgin Mobile (because I was getting frustrated with their customer service) to AT&T. I did my due diligence and found that AT&T had gotten high ratings. So, I switched to them.Only recently within the last few weeks, I get a no service no network message on my phone. What if I had an emergency? I could not use my phone. Why do I even have a phone in the first place? I find this exceptionally frustrating and cause enough for me to change carriers. Although most carriers also have complaints, my project is to find the one with the least complaints.Isn't there one company out there that knows what they are doing?

I have been their customer for close to 7 yrs now and I am wondering how did I put up with them for so long. The website sucks, the online customer support is a piece of crap wonder why at&t is wasting money in keeping them, customer support you are directed to several departments and by the time you reach the one who might solve your issue its time for them to close the office.....hate at&t
brate 07/15/2009
AT&T is one of the worst companies! I have had several issues with them over the years and felt trapped into their service and now I don't care what it costs me I am going to change.1. Their wireless "fewest dropped calls" slogan is because you can't drop a call if you don't have a signal to begin with! 2. Their tech support for internet is a JOKE. They barely speak English, know zilch about computers and walk you through a 'checklist' even a 5 year old would know :turn off the modem and restart it - like that wouldn't be the first thing I'd do! ARGH.After HOURS on the phone with several different departments (because of course each department is so specialized they can't answer a single question that isn't on their checklist so they send you to another department and then that dept. sends you to another) I got no where.I finally gave up and worked on the issue and diagnosed it myself. Solved it, then called for a part replacement because it was due to a faulty wireless usb adapter and was informed that my warranty expired 24 days ago so they won't replace the unit. Yeah, exactly. I can't tell you how irritated I was at that. As a LONG time 18 year ATT customer I am extremely angry and will be changing service as soon as possible. Use Verizon for Cell; Choose a Cable provider for Internet; and try DISH or DirectTV for TV. Don't bother with AT&T, you'll regret it!

I dont know about stars. The service is not even worth counting on........they gave me a phone line that was not released from the old customer and all the call that I received was for the old customer......and they charged me $108 from the old customer.....and you have to sit on the phone for minimum of an hour with them for just to figure out what the problem is?.......and every rep has a pet dialogue of "I appologise" but they know nothing. Every person you talk to they say i am sorry the previous representative gave you a wrong information....I wish I saw these reviews before I signed up with them......HORRIBLE........I recommand any other service BUT at&t
qtkat879 06/16/2009
Less than one star - ATT's customer service is terrible, and they are always on the prowl for ways to charge you extra fees without telling you about it. They charged me twice ($40 per time) for switching phone service ONCE, and they tried to charge me $125 just to check the jacks in my house - also without warning! Each customer service person I talked to gave me a different story, and my service (phone and internet) STILL isn't working after over a week of calling. Don't fall for the low price - it's not worth the hassle (and extra hidden fees!!).
cauto3278 06/16/2009
I am having difficulties even giving AT&T 1 star! I ordered direct Internet connection on Thursday April 30. The modem was to be sent to me and my service was to be set up remotely Wed May 20 after 8 pm est. Today is Tuesday June 16 and the service is still not connected. I have made 8 calls to the Internet technical support all I am being told is that there is a line issue and I will get a call back. I have never received the call back as was promised. I have escalated this issue to several managers, and still no call! I finally went to the AT&T store last Friday and was told the same thing - that there is a line issue and "sorry we can't help you, you have to wait for a call back"! Do yourself a favor and use any other type of internet provider! AT&T service is horrible and their customer service is even worse!
Bravo4607 06/14/2009
Let's see: I can read a contract so terms of service, I would say, are fair (features and all). I picked out my cell phone so I can't bitch about the equipment. I live in the U.S. and vote in all elections so taxes and fees are what they are, and I don't B&M about them either...And because I'm not Bitching and Moaning when I call in to customer care, I tend to get a little friendlier level assistance everywhere I call. And price...well you get what you pay for. I would say that my money was well spent.
missmissi 06/13/2009
I can't in good conscience give AT&T even one star! They are horrible! I can't say enough bad things about this company. I guess it starts w/ our cell phones. They have charged us New Mexico state sales tax for 26 consecutive months and we live in Arkansas! We haven't been to, called or known anyone in NM in our entire lives! We have asked them 3 or 4 times to take it off of our bill to no avail. As far as our land lines. AT&T has the contract where we live, so we have no choice. Our service has been out for 3 days. This is our business and they cost us a lot of money for every hour we are down. They buried the phone line about one inch deep on a dirt road close to our home and every time it gets graded they tear up the line! You would think that after the 9th time they would figure it out! We have called them 7 or 8 times in the last 3 days and have been told numerous times that someone was dispatched and that we would be called. Well, here we are still with no phone lines or fax lines w/ no calls and no one showing up. We have talked to supervisors and the same story. What i'm wondering now is, will we ever get our phone service back up? They could care less about customer service. You have to be on hold for 30 minutes before anyone will even answer the phone! I think the only way to get it fixed at this point is to either short pay or tell them we want another service out here so that someone will actually come out! Pathetic, horrible, unredeemable, incompetent, lowest of the low service!
maxtor80gig 06/05/2009
There was a long list of screw ups on their part. The final straw was when they cut my service without notice. When I called to find out what happened they said my account was in collections. Their own online bill showed the account was paid and current. They are incompetent, reckless and not worth dealing with. I finally went with Cox Communications who is excellent.
mhclaxton 05/29/2009
I agree with most here....AT&T customer service is absolutely terrible. They don't know what they're talking about and they screw everything up. AT&T can really learn something form Verizon, who's reps are always eager to help....and they don't lead you to frustration by putting you on cyclic menus when you call in.If you live close enough, just go into an AT&T store....I have had excellent experiences with them.
Naomi54 05/03/2009
If I could rate AT&T minus 1 star, I would. No phone AT&T has can ever make up for the fact that once they get you past the 30 day test period, AT&T's mission is to nickel and dime you to death with features and processes designed to generate extra fees here and there. After years with Verizon, I decided to switch my family to AT&T because of the roll-over minutes come-on. The Samsung phones we selected on-line turned out cheap feeling and one failed, but the more irritating thing was how AT&T had set up the logic to put internet access immovably in the middle of the display - when what we wanted were phones. Long story short, I ended up getting the defective phone replaced, but phone logic and operation were user unfriendly and AT&T customer support attitudes made you feel like your call was an imposition. Customers at AT&T are unpleasant necessities to be taken advantage of and screwed in little ways rather than treasures that are the reason for your paycheck. The couple times I'd been late on a Verizon payment, they texted and called me so I could pay without penalty. Verizon had always responded well when I called in with issues (even "What can I do to save money?"). The people in their service centers are pleasant and well-informed. I was just getting used to the replaced AT&T phone but I wasn't even sure we'd be able to stand either the phones or AT&T as a service provider, so I hadn't paid my bill on the due date. AT&T sent one piece of snail mail notifying me of the late payment. No call. No text. No attempt to use the technology they sold me! They just shut off all our phones! That was the last straw. I called Verizon and reactivated with them. Returned the phones to AT&T with an explanatory letter saying why I chose not to have a 2 year relationship with a company that behaved as they do. I sent in a check for $230.57 for activation and two months of service (quite a big penalty for a short experiment with a different provider) with a copy of the letter. They called and when I said I was unhappy with how they treated me as a customer, they turned me over to collection for $1,084 and have entered an unfavorable data point on my credit report. I hate AT&T with the light of a thousand torches. I am so happy to be back with Verizon where hardware, operational logic and service all are directed to treating the customer like someone they want to keep. Be warned. AT&T still thinks like a monopoly after all these years. They are an ugly, ugly company.

We have never been happy with ATT ,even disconnecting from them was a nightmare...about long distance: we ha dour own separate long distance company but had minimal long distance with ATT that we never used.... they went behind our backs and called the other company and disconnected us from them without permission, so they started charging us 5 times more without us knowing...at the end of the month the bill was RIDICULOUS .... they lied about it after we asked why... like they lie about everything !!!!!!!!!!
Jessicamille 04/21/2009
I have never been happy with AT&T. The service sucks, the phones are cheap and a ripoff. I've ordered new phones twice in the past eight months, and they send me the same crappy one every single time that always breaks. My call with the help desk was dropped twice due to the bad service, ironically. In the hour it took to get a problem explained with the help, I spoke to three people, two of which were rude. I just switched my phone off because I completely lost service AGAIN, and now it won't even turn on. Never use AT&T they are a rip off.
gccvng 04/14/2009
I have just the residential service and there is not much service available. Horrible web site where nothing works as you would expect; one is rarely able to talk to a live person; very expensive land line: $26 monthly, and all I have extra is a non-published number. I am looking into other providers, ie., via internet through cable company, etc...Unfortunately, ATT has gobbled up my old provider, Bell South. I changed my wireless from ATT several years ago to get out of their clutches and am very happy with Sprint. No Stars are appropriate, but since this review won't go through without at least one star...
Srdjan1 04/06/2009
I just switch to at&t and its terrible servic. As I have discount from my work and activation fee should be waived but in case they never apply to my account. I had to go few times to store and finaly got fixed. Customer service over phone is SUCK big time. They allways tall you when you call them that they can't do anything. Good think I am not with them full month yet so I will cancel soon my service with them. Do not take at&t they can't even keep logo... what was before AT&T, then Cingular...
HonestOP 03/29/2009
AT&T is sneaky to say the least. They advertise minimum prices to suck you in and then hit you when you're not looking. We pay a minimum of $20+ every month on the taxes and fees each month. We made the mistake on getting an iPhone and pay the additional $20 for the web features and data the phone uses. The phone is really great but the sneaky part is that the $20 plan only includes 200 text messages. Every text transfer counts as one from the 200. If you say "hi" that's one. My daughter went through them on the first month so fast we ended up paying $180 in overage for her text messages! I was fuming. She tries to keep her use down under the liit but you can't stop others from sending you messages and you get charged for it. You "currently" CANNOT TURN OFF MESSAGES COMING IN FROM OTHER PHONE USERS. You can and will be hit with the usage no matter what. AT&T knows they have you in a spot and their options for you are to upgrade of course. You can pay $10 more to raise the limit to 1500, $20 more to make it unlimited or $30 more to let the whole family have unlimited. Basically I'm paying for something I don't want or have to pay more to not have to worry about it. In this economy we're trying to cut back. We'll pull out soon as our contract is up in the next four months.

is the worst phone commpany I ever had........they over charge me for more than 6 months from 50-60$ the most i paid about 100 and up............I had the unlimited packege(supoused to be the same bill every month) and every month the bill was diffetent telling me that those are the taxes.......taxes for more than 20$ even 60-90& this is the worst joke .............actually on the bill this packege is 34$......plus i paid high speed internet for one and a half mounth which i never had that service......anyway........every time when i was tring to talk about my bill with customer service i face a bunch of incompetents morons....................last month i had 139,99$ can you imagine.........i'm happy that i cancel.....I stronglly recomand any other commpany but not AT&T. they are the worst in the world.................i can give the minus 10 stars.......but unfortenelly there is no such an optionworst....worst....you can not find something worst then them

HORRIBLE customer service!!!! For 4 months straight I've had to call about my bill...each time I'm transferred at least 3 times and NEVER to someone who can give me a straight answer!!! I get "I don't know...you'll have to speak to someone in the Combined Billing Dept." They then transfer me without asking, and I get "I'm not sure...you'll have to speak with someone in the Wireless Billing Dept." Oh and there was the time I was told I was being transferred to Combined Billing, got put on hold FOREVER, gave my spill to this guy who informs me he's with Residential Sales....WTH?? So basically, when calling AT&T, expect to wait on hold FOREVER, speak with someone who can't help you, get transferred, wait on hold FOREVER (again), speak to another incompetent moron, get transferred, wait on hold (listening to annoying repetitive messages I might add), and never get what you're calling about resolved. I WANNA SCREEEEEEEAAAAAAAAMMMMMMMMMMMM!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I'm sure glad this was the number 1 listing on Google tonight.. I was going to sign up with AT&T after checking reviews.. but After reading all of these reviews.. I'll spend my money somewhere else. Thanks everyone.. The search for a good cell phone company continues! Note To AT&T: If you want my money, clean up your act! These sites do work.. just not for you *grin*Note to Rateitall.. I have had AT&T before, so my rating is legit.. I was just hoping they cleaned up their policies over the last 10 years.

As usual, I called customer service to get the regular run around by the initial pickup voice guy! After calling back 3 times, I finally reached a rude man on the phone who introduced himself as Mr. Coleda. He was brash and short with me as I was inquiring about a final bill and told me that next time I call I should request to speak to DSL services at which time he transferred me over to whom he said would be a supervisor! To my suprise, I was connected with Jeff, who told me that I was in the wrong department and that they could only handle the technical side of things! So here I am pissed and on hold for more that 10 minutes for a supervisor who cannot help me either! This is one of the best decisions that I have made in order to keep my sanity! I am soooo happy to cancel this service! You people are disgusting and your customer service is deplorable! I will NEVER recommend any of your services to anyone that I know! Further more I will encourage others, not to go through the drama!SincerelyMrs. Smith

Incompetent and rude customer service, complicated bills, and a general sense of bait and switch with rates offered. They told me that when I switched from Verizon that they would contact Verizon and cancel the service. Many months later I'm still seeing an item on my ATT bill for Verizon, and the ATT people will not help in straightening things out. Rather they tell me it is my responsibility and my problem. I'm looking to bail.

I live in Orlando, FL zip code 32837. AT&T has different opinions depending on who answers the phone. Some days I'm told that my street has the best reception in town, other times I'm told that reception is so bad that possibilities are they will not fix it if they don't have 3 or more complaints. Another time I call to complain about my reception and they say that they sent out an engineer to the tower and the towers have no problem. AT&T has the most dropped calls EVER. I went to the Apple Store to check and see if it's my iPhone and they said that i had 5% dropped calls in the past 2 weeks, a whopping 22 drops. I told him that was high, he said no sir, you are actually one of our lowest, I've seen 22% dropped calls on AT&T Serviced phones. AT&T said they can not guarantee service ???? As I am calling them right now, I'm getting dropped calls. I'm switching my Wireless service company and you should too.

ATT or AT&T is one company I would never, never recommend to anyone. Even my worst enemy. The after sales service is discusting, frustrating and impossible... We have a small business and all the INSTORE sales people care or trained to do is getting their $30 bonuses by conning each customer to sign up new contracts. Our company has 13 cell phones. Our cell phone bill last year 2008 was in excess of $11,000.00 because ATT had signed up all of the cell phones on individual plans. We fell like we have raped. We were also charged for Text messaging even though it was requested and recorded that we did not want our employees having access to this. My recommendation to anyone would be DO NOT GO WITH ATT. THEY ARE A BUNCH OF CORPORATE CRIMINALS. Another thing they dont do is COVER THE PHONES UNDER WARRANTEE. IF YOU HAVE A FAULTY PHONE THEY REPLACE IT WITH A SECOND HAND PHONE OR THEY GIVE YOU THE OPTION OF UPGRADING YOUR PHONE BY SIGNING ANOTHER 2 YEAR CONTRACT or THEY WILL CHARGE YOU FOR A NEW PHONE..... DO NOT FALL FOR THIS PEOPLE. TO SUM UP ATT OR AT&T WHICHEVER IT IS. THEY ARE THEIVES, CONS, MANIPULATORS, LIERS AND DISREPECTFUL TO THEIR CUSTOMERS. THEY ARE OUT TO STEEL FROM YOU. I'M FED UP WITH THEM SO I AM LOOKING FOR ANOTHER CELL PHONE CARRIER. ANY RECOMMENDATIONS? I HOPE THIS MESSAGE HELPS EVEN JUST ONE PERSON! IF YOU ARE CONSIDERING ATT DONT DO IT!

Four words "king of dropped calls" even between AT&T customers, both in San Diego and Los Angeles. Customer service is moderate, it takes hours sometimes to get real help. AT&T should really learn how to get good phones without ripping people off like the iphone which forces you to get the internet!!! I have had AT&T for many many years and the service is ok, but if they don't decide to bring in nice phones I might have to move to a different provider I have 14 people on my plan, I have friends who are thinking of switching because of the same reason.

Be careful about what you say on their lines 'cause they love that wire-tapping thing. What else would you expect from the biggest US phone and internet provider? Boycott this sleazy company that chooses to downsize their american customer service and replace them with indians.

I now understand why I was told not to go with AT&T in the first place. You would think a company of their size should be able to keep my cell phone service in working order or at least be able to fix problems expeditiously. I'm a flight attendant for a major airline and since I'm home only about 10 days out of the month ( not consecutively ), I don't have a need for a land line. My cell phone is my only means of communication. I had a problem receiving calls and making calls to some numbers and when I called an AT&T representative she told that it would take between 24-48 hours to fix the problem and gave me a $10 credit on my bill!!! I was so angry I had to get off the phone before I lost my religion. I just got the iPhone and like many other people, I have had issues with it but for the most part, it's a good phone. But it angers me to no end to find out that AT&T has had these problems in the past and obviously have done little or nothing to ensure it doesn't happen again. My job has called and I've missed out on a few good trips and what do I get for not being able to use my $400.00 phone for probably 2 days???....$10.00, now that's great customer service! >:(

I think everyone else has said exactly what I would have said...spent three whole days trying to get my internet back (switching phone lines and requesting a dry loop account)...it took them three days to tell me that they had completely deleted my account. Funny thing is, after I had told the last rep what horrible service they were and that it obviously seemed like they did not want my business in the first place, she said "thanks for calling AT&T have a good day".

ATT has the worst customer service I have ever experienced. I thought Bellsouth was bad, but ATT is much worse. I had a simple issue with my DSL line and it took them 3 weeks to get a the right technician out to fix it. I promtly cancelled my service. I gave them one more shot to redeem themselves, and the same thing happened when I started new service. I highly recommend you find an alternate carrier, or pray you don't have any technical issues

At& T has the most horrible customer service I've ever seen. To describe what they have put me through for the past 1 1/2 months would take 100 pages of writing. Lets just say that I was on w/ their tech support people for 8 1/2 hours last Friday, of course not resolving anything. Their staff are not trained, rude and have very little knowledge of their products and services. They outwardly lie and just don't care. The next day I spent 1 1/2 hour w/ a customer service rep who insisted that my email address (also w/ ATT) did not exist. I couldn't make her understand that I've been using that address for over 2 years. Waiting on hold is forever. Just horrendous. The best was the little scam they pulled (I'm sure company wide) last year. Last Feb 2008, we received a letter stating that AT&T upgraded from analog to digital and we would have to bring in our cell phones for a straight exchange. I had been out of contract w/ them for 7 years. What we discovered 6 months later was that they put us on a 2 yr contract w.out our knowledge or permission. when I questioned this, they told me that just be using the phone constitutes acceptance of the contract. What bullshit, and certainly not true. Stay away from them at all costs.
