Less than one star - ATT's customer service is terrible, and they are always on the prowl for ways to charge you extra fees without telling you about it. They charged me twice ($40 per time) for switching phone service ONCE, and they tried to charge me $125 just to check the jacks in my house - also without warning! Each customer service person I talked to gave me a different story, and my service (phone and internet) STILL isn't working after over a week of calling. Don't fall for the low price - it's not worth the hassle (and extra hidden fees!!).

I am having difficulties even giving AT&T 1 star! I ordered direct Internet connection on Thursday April 30. The modem was to be sent to me and my service was to be set up remotely Wed May 20 after 8 pm est. Today is Tuesday June 16 and the service is still not connected. I have made 8 calls to the Internet technical support all I am being told is that there is a line issue and I will get a call back. I have never received the call back as was promised. I have escalated this issue to several managers, and still no call! I finally went to the AT&T store last Friday and was told the same thing - that there is a line issue and "sorry we can't help you, you have to wait for a call back"! Do yourself a favor and use any other type of internet provider! AT&T service is horrible and their customer service is even worse!
Bravo4607 06/14/2009
Let's see: I can read a contract so terms of service, I would say, are fair (features and all). I picked out my cell phone so I can't bitch about the equipment. I live in the U.S. and vote in all elections so taxes and fees are what they are, and I don't B&M about them either...And because I'm not Bitching and Moaning when I call in to customer care, I tend to get a little friendlier level assistance everywhere I call. And price...well you get what you pay for. I would say that my money was well spent.

I can't in good conscience give AT&T even one star! They are horrible! I can't say enough bad things about this company. I guess it starts w/ our cell phones. They have charged us New Mexico state sales tax for 26 consecutive months and we live in Arkansas! We haven't been to, called or known anyone in NM in our entire lives! We have asked them 3 or 4 times to take it off of our bill to no avail. As far as our land lines. AT&T has the contract where we live, so we have no choice. Our service has been out for 3 days. This is our business and they cost us a lot of money for every hour we are down. They buried the phone line about one inch deep on a dirt road close to our home and every time it gets graded they tear up the line! You would think that after the 9th time they would figure it out! We have called them 7 or 8 times in the last 3 days and have been told numerous times that someone was dispatched and that we would be called. Well, here we are still with no phone lines or fax lines w/ no calls and no one showing up. We have talked to supervisors and the same story. What i'm wondering now is, will we ever get our phone service back up? They could care less about customer service. You have to be on hold for 30 minutes before anyone will even answer the phone! I think the only way to get it fixed at this point is to either short pay or tell them we want another service out here so that someone will actually come out! Pathetic, horrible, unredeemable, incompetent, lowest of the low service!

There was a long list of screw ups on their part. The final straw was when they cut my service without notice. When I called to find out what happened they said my account was in collections. Their own online bill showed the account was paid and current. They are incompetent, reckless and not worth dealing with. I finally went with Cox Communications who is excellent.
mhclaxton 05/29/2009
I agree with most here....AT&T customer service is absolutely terrible. They don't know what they're talking about and they screw everything up. AT&T can really learn something form Verizon, who's reps are always eager to help....and they don't lead you to frustration by putting you on cyclic menus when you call in.If you live close enough, just go into an AT&T store....I have had excellent experiences with them.
Naomi54 05/03/2009
If I could rate AT&T minus 1 star, I would. No phone AT&T has can ever make up for the fact that once they get you past the 30 day test period, AT&T's mission is to nickel and dime you to death with features and processes designed to generate extra fees here and there. After years with Verizon, I decided to switch my family to AT&T because of the roll-over minutes come-on. The Samsung phones we selected on-line turned out cheap feeling and one failed, but the more irritating thing was how AT&T had set up the logic to put internet access immovably in the middle of the display - when what we wanted were phones. Long story short, I ended up getting the defective phone replaced, but phone logic and operation were user unfriendly and AT&T customer support attitudes made you feel like your call was an imposition. Customers at AT&T are unpleasant necessities to be taken advantage of and screwed in little ways rather than treasures that are the reason for your paycheck. The couple times I'd been late on a Verizon payment, they texted and called me so I could pay without penalty. Verizon had always responded well when I called in with issues (even "What can I do to save money?"). The people in their service centers are pleasant and well-informed. I was just getting used to the replaced AT&T phone but I wasn't even sure we'd be able to stand either the phones or AT&T as a service provider, so I hadn't paid my bill on the due date. AT&T sent one piece of snail mail notifying me of the late payment. No call. No text. No attempt to use the technology they sold me! They just shut off all our phones! That was the last straw. I called Verizon and reactivated with them. Returned the phones to AT&T with an explanatory letter saying why I chose not to have a 2 year relationship with a company that behaved as they do. I sent in a check for $230.57 for activation and two months of service (quite a big penalty for a short experiment with a different provider) with a copy of the letter. They called and when I said I was unhappy with how they treated me as a customer, they turned me over to collection for $1,084 and have entered an unfavorable data point on my credit report. I hate AT&T with the light of a thousand torches. I am so happy to be back with Verizon where hardware, operational logic and service all are directed to treating the customer like someone they want to keep. Be warned. AT&T still thinks like a monopoly after all these years. They are an ugly, ugly company.

We have never been happy with ATT ,even disconnecting from them was a nightmare...about long distance: we ha dour own separate long distance company but had minimal long distance with ATT that we never used.... they went behind our backs and called the other company and disconnected us from them without permission, so they started charging us 5 times more without us knowing...at the end of the month the bill was RIDICULOUS .... they lied about it after we asked why... like they lie about everything !!!!!!!!!!
Jessicamille 04/21/2009
I have never been happy with AT&T. The service sucks, the phones are cheap and a ripoff. I've ordered new phones twice in the past eight months, and they send me the same crappy one every single time that always breaks. My call with the help desk was dropped twice due to the bad service, ironically. In the hour it took to get a problem explained with the help, I spoke to three people, two of which were rude. I just switched my phone off because I completely lost service AGAIN, and now it won't even turn on. Never use AT&T they are a rip off.

I have just the residential service and there is not much service available. Horrible web site where nothing works as you would expect; one is rarely able to talk to a live person; very expensive land line: $26 monthly, and all I have extra is a non-published number. I am looking into other providers, ie., via internet through cable company, etc...Unfortunately, ATT has gobbled up my old provider, Bell South. I changed my wireless from ATT several years ago to get out of their clutches and am very happy with Sprint. No Stars are appropriate, but since this review won't go through without at least one star...

I just switch to at&t and its terrible servic. As I have discount from my work and activation fee should be waived but in case they never apply to my account. I had to go few times to store and finaly got fixed. Customer service over phone is SUCK big time. They allways tall you when you call them that they can't do anything. Good think I am not with them full month yet so I will cancel soon my service with them. Do not take at&t they can't even keep logo... what was before AT&T, then Cingular...
HonestOP 03/29/2009
AT&T is sneaky to say the least. They advertise minimum prices to suck you in and then hit you when you're not looking. We pay a minimum of $20+ every month on the taxes and fees each month. We made the mistake on getting an iPhone and pay the additional $20 for the web features and data the phone uses. The phone is really great but the sneaky part is that the $20 plan only includes 200 text messages. Every text transfer counts as one from the 200. If you say "hi" that's one. My daughter went through them on the first month so fast we ended up paying $180 in overage for her text messages! I was fuming. She tries to keep her use down under the liit but you can't stop others from sending you messages and you get charged for it. You "currently" CANNOT TURN OFF MESSAGES COMING IN FROM OTHER PHONE USERS. You can and will be hit with the usage no matter what. AT&T knows they have you in a spot and their options for you are to upgrade of course. You can pay $10 more to raise the limit to 1500, $20 more to make it unlimited or $30 more to let the whole family have unlimited. Basically I'm paying for something I don't want or have to pay more to not have to worry about it. In this economy we're trying to cut back. We'll pull out soon as our contract is up in the next four months.

is the worst phone commpany I ever had........they over charge me for more than 6 months from 50-60$ the most i paid about 100 and up............I had the unlimited packege(supoused to be the same bill every month) and every month the bill was diffetent telling me that those are the taxes.......taxes for more than 20$ even 60-90& this is the worst joke .............actually on the bill this packege is 34$......plus i paid high speed internet for one and a half mounth which i never had that service......anyway........every time when i was tring to talk about my bill with customer service i face a bunch of incompetents morons....................last month i had 139,99$ can you imagine.........i'm happy that i cancel.....I stronglly recomand any other commpany but not AT&T. they are the worst in the world.................i can give the minus 10 stars.......but unfortenelly there is no such an optionworst....worst....you can not find something worst then them

HORRIBLE customer service!!!! For 4 months straight I've had to call about my bill...each time I'm transferred at least 3 times and NEVER to someone who can give me a straight answer!!! I get "I don't know...you'll have to speak to someone in the Combined Billing Dept." They then transfer me without asking, and I get "I'm not sure...you'll have to speak with someone in the Wireless Billing Dept." Oh and there was the time I was told I was being transferred to Combined Billing, got put on hold FOREVER, gave my spill to this guy who informs me he's with Residential Sales....WTH?? So basically, when calling AT&T, expect to wait on hold FOREVER, speak with someone who can't help you, get transferred, wait on hold FOREVER (again), speak to another incompetent moron, get transferred, wait on hold (listening to annoying repetitive messages I might add), and never get what you're calling about resolved. I WANNA SCREEEEEEEAAAAAAAAMMMMMMMMMMMM!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I'm sure glad this was the number 1 listing on Google tonight.. I was going to sign up with AT&T after checking reviews.. but After reading all of these reviews.. I'll spend my money somewhere else. Thanks everyone.. The search for a good cell phone company continues! Note To AT&T: If you want my money, clean up your act! These sites do work.. just not for you *grin*Note to Rateitall.. I have had AT&T before, so my rating is legit.. I was just hoping they cleaned up their policies over the last 10 years.

As usual, I called customer service to get the regular run around by the initial pickup voice guy! After calling back 3 times, I finally reached a rude man on the phone who introduced himself as Mr. Coleda. He was brash and short with me as I was inquiring about a final bill and told me that next time I call I should request to speak to DSL services at which time he transferred me over to whom he said would be a supervisor! To my suprise, I was connected with Jeff, who told me that I was in the wrong department and that they could only handle the technical side of things! So here I am pissed and on hold for more that 10 minutes for a supervisor who cannot help me either! This is one of the best decisions that I have made in order to keep my sanity! I am soooo happy to cancel this service! You people are disgusting and your customer service is deplorable! I will NEVER recommend any of your services to anyone that I know! Further more I will encourage others, not to go through the drama!SincerelyMrs. Smith
ralphgilbert 01/22/2009
Incompetent and rude customer service, complicated bills, and a general sense of bait and switch with rates offered. They told me that when I switched from Verizon that they would contact Verizon and cancel the service. Many months later I'm still seeing an item on my ATT bill for Verizon, and the ATT people will not help in straightening things out. Rather they tell me it is my responsibility and my problem. I'm looking to bail.

I live in Orlando, FL zip code 32837. AT&T has different opinions depending on who answers the phone. Some days I'm told that my street has the best reception in town, other times I'm told that reception is so bad that possibilities are they will not fix it if they don't have 3 or more complaints. Another time I call to complain about my reception and they say that they sent out an engineer to the tower and the towers have no problem. AT&T has the most dropped calls EVER. I went to the Apple Store to check and see if it's my iPhone and they said that i had 5% dropped calls in the past 2 weeks, a whopping 22 drops. I told him that was high, he said no sir, you are actually one of our lowest, I've seen 22% dropped calls on AT&T Serviced phones. AT&T said they can not guarantee service ???? As I am calling them right now, I'm getting dropped calls. I'm switching my Wireless service company and you should too.

ATT or AT&T is one company I would never, never recommend to anyone. Even my worst enemy. The after sales service is discusting, frustrating and impossible... We have a small business and all the INSTORE sales people care or trained to do is getting their $30 bonuses by conning each customer to sign up new contracts. Our company has 13 cell phones. Our cell phone bill last year 2008 was in excess of $11,000.00 because ATT had signed up all of the cell phones on individual plans. We fell like we have raped. We were also charged for Text messaging even though it was requested and recorded that we did not want our employees having access to this. My recommendation to anyone would be DO NOT GO WITH ATT. THEY ARE A BUNCH OF CORPORATE CRIMINALS. Another thing they dont do is COVER THE PHONES UNDER WARRANTEE. IF YOU HAVE A FAULTY PHONE THEY REPLACE IT WITH A SECOND HAND PHONE OR THEY GIVE YOU THE OPTION OF UPGRADING YOUR PHONE BY SIGNING ANOTHER 2 YEAR CONTRACT or THEY WILL CHARGE YOU FOR A NEW PHONE..... DO NOT FALL FOR THIS PEOPLE. TO SUM UP ATT OR AT&T WHICHEVER IT IS. THEY ARE THEIVES, CONS, MANIPULATORS, LIERS AND DISREPECTFUL TO THEIR CUSTOMERS. THEY ARE OUT TO STEEL FROM YOU. I'M FED UP WITH THEM SO I AM LOOKING FOR ANOTHER CELL PHONE CARRIER. ANY RECOMMENDATIONS? I HOPE THIS MESSAGE HELPS EVEN JUST ONE PERSON! IF YOU ARE CONSIDERING ATT DONT DO IT!
larra1 01/13/2009
got TOO big AGAIN! never want to fix their services without selling you some more services
cool123 01/07/2009
Four words "king of dropped calls" even between AT&T customers, both in San Diego and Los Angeles. Customer service is moderate, it takes hours sometimes to get real help. AT&T should really learn how to get good phones without ripping people off like the iphone which forces you to get the internet!!! I have had AT&T for many many years and the service is ok, but if they don't decide to bring in nice phones I might have to move to a different provider I have 14 people on my plan, I have friends who are thinking of switching because of the same reason.
frenchiefastwa ves 01/05/2009
Be careful about what you say on their lines 'cause they love that wire-tapping thing. What else would you expect from the biggest US phone and internet provider? Boycott this sleazy company that chooses to downsize their american customer service and replace them with indians.
leis74 01/05/2009
I now understand why I was told not to go with AT&T in the first place. You would think a company of their size should be able to keep my cell phone service in working order or at least be able to fix problems expeditiously. I'm a flight attendant for a major airline and since I'm home only about 10 days out of the month ( not consecutively ), I don't have a need for a land line. My cell phone is my only means of communication. I had a problem receiving calls and making calls to some numbers and when I called an AT&T representative she told that it would take between 24-48 hours to fix the problem and gave me a $10 credit on my bill!!! I was so angry I had to get off the phone before I lost my religion. I just got the iPhone and like many other people, I have had issues with it but for the most part, it's a good phone. But it angers me to no end to find out that AT&T has had these problems in the past and obviously have done little or nothing to ensure it doesn't happen again. My job has called and I've missed out on a few good trips and what do I get for not being able to use my $400.00 phone for probably 2 days???....$10.00, now that's great customer service! >:(
earthwhacko 01/05/2009
I think everyone else has said exactly what I would have said...spent three whole days trying to get my internet back (switching phone lines and requesting a dry loop account)...it took them three days to tell me that they had completely deleted my account. Funny thing is, after I had told the last rep what horrible service they were and that it obviously seemed like they did not want my business in the first place, she said "thanks for calling AT&T have a good day".
scottah 01/02/2009
ATT has the worst customer service I have ever experienced. I thought Bellsouth was bad, but ATT is much worse. I had a simple issue with my DSL line and it took them 3 weeks to get a the right technician out to fix it. I promtly cancelled my service. I gave them one more shot to redeem themselves, and the same thing happened when I started new service. I highly recommend you find an alternate carrier, or pray you don't have any technical issues
gaucho54 12/29/2008
At& T has the most horrible customer service I've ever seen. To describe what they have put me through for the past 1 1/2 months would take 100 pages of writing. Lets just say that I was on w/ their tech support people for 8 1/2 hours last Friday, of course not resolving anything. Their staff are not trained, rude and have very little knowledge of their products and services. They outwardly lie and just don't care. The next day I spent 1 1/2 hour w/ a customer service rep who insisted that my email address (also w/ ATT) did not exist. I couldn't make her understand that I've been using that address for over 2 years. Waiting on hold is forever. Just horrendous. The best was the little scam they pulled (I'm sure company wide) last year. Last Feb 2008, we received a letter stating that AT&T upgraded from analog to digital and we would have to bring in our cell phones for a straight exchange. I had been out of contract w/ them for 7 years. What we discovered 6 months later was that they put us on a 2 yr contract w.out our knowledge or permission. when I questioned this, they told me that just be using the phone constitutes acceptance of the contract. What bullshit, and certainly not true. Stay away from them at all costs.

I have complains with ATT service after breaking my cell phone they charged me $250 for a new phone since I do not had insurance only two years contract with them. For their new customers they get the Sony Ericsson phone for free or you pay $25 so i purchased insurance for $3.25 a month so next time I need to replace my phone i have insurance. 28 days after I got my new phone a black mark appeared on the screen, so i was really glad to have my insurance cover the new phone I need to get. Surprise surprise...by the way you have a deductible on the new phone! WHAT??? yes, I had to pay $50 for the new phone which cost only $25 or free for new customers. And again my phone making problems after a short use and guess what??...I am going to need a new phone which will cost me another $50. ATT service is very disappointing, please do yourself a favor and shop around. Have a nice day.
Kirkwood101 12/25/2008
I don't have any complaints with AT&T service. It just that I need to know why they don't have any Dick Tracy wris watch cellphones here in the USA. They're cool as hell. I know for a fact that if they would put one on the market, consumers will buy. There's no doubt. Nextel, AT&T, or Verizon needs this. I am an AT&T customer. But if any of these other wireless cellphone giants gets a wrist watch cellphone, then it's goodbye AT&T and hello Verizon, or Nextel And hell, I don't even like Nextel.
wzcefiro 12/22/2008
AT&T's Customer service is very very bad. One just hanged up on me for complaining about another representative. Another didn't speak with politeness at all. The only semi-helpful was the online, which wasn't that helpful, but was able to explain some problems on our order. Thank you AT&T we will never call back to you again. :)
hamsa 12/16/2008
Very bad service. It has been hard to refrain from ***** words. They charge you months after you terminate service. They put you over to a collections agency who has no clue why you need to pay the amount. Then they ask you to dispute the charge. Trust me, all you get is hassled. They scare you with the charge of your credit history being affected. Record all their calls when they say "no more charges". Ask them to give it in writing. Never settle otherwise
lauralight 12/12/2008
1, AT &T is using an obvious routine SCAM to overbill by double talking and putting you into collectons when you cancell your cell phone service. They should be Sued in a Class Action Lawsuit at least in Oregon where I live. If you want to join me, lauralight1972@yahoo.com

at&t has bad service. Took almost two weeks to move service from one address to another address. I had good speed at the previous but here the speed was slow. I want to up grade to another service and it has been a week and no new service.

This is my first review for any sevice ever. I was literally forced into doing this, after I went into the AT&T wireless store today for the 15th time in less than 3 months, each time for the same reason. These people are terrible, in all my years of experience, this has to be the company with the worst employees ever. They simply do not care about their customers! I made an unfortunate decision back 3 months ago to take a DSL connection from these guys, after one of them highly recommended it to me (thankfully I had the sense to not cancel my old net connection, its still going strong). I was also asked to pay a deposit in cash. Well, the payment went through just fine, and I was asked to wait until the end of the month for dsl activation. That did not happen, this is where the problem began, I had to keep calling their customer service line (which by the way is operative only between 9-5 on weekdays), stay on the line for a half hour, until some guy finally answers and tells me that my payment never went through! I went back into the store, and this is what annoyed me the most, the people there make phone calls right in front of you to their own customer service or some manager or the other and invariably each time, something goes wrong and I am either asked to come back in again the next day or else call the customer service number myself at a later time . This continued for more than a month, until I finally decided to cancel the "service" upon which I received frantic phone calls from the "Managers" who assured me that my service would be activated and that they would get back to me to check whether everything was fine with the dsl. 2 months later, I still have no active AT&T connection, neither have the managers or any other employee ever bothered to get back to me. By this time, I really couldnt care less about their internet, because my old service works superbly, all I wanted was my deposit back.
I went into the shop, the guys there said they cannot hand in personal checks to me, I woud have to call the customer service guys to mail me the check, I call the customer service and they say they have no record of me since my net connection was simply never activated! So no internet and a cash deposit that simply seemed to have vanished into thin air! I went back into the store and they gave me the usual yes-we-are-calling-the-customer-service-guys-right-now routine only to say that they cannot tell me anything right now, and come back into the store later. I lost my temper and began yelling and surprise, surprise! they actually tried to help me out! To my great shock, turns out that 2 months after cancelling my service, all of my yelling had managed to get me one thing - an official request for a refund of my deposit!!!
AT&T has great commecials on TV, clearly appearances can be extremely deceiving!

My experiences with AT&T have not been good. I use AT&T for my high-speed DSL plus my home phone, and my upload/download speeds for my internet are incredibly slow. Now, I would have felt better if they told me that there is nothing they could do and about internet speeds and stop charging me for prices of of a high-speed connection, but they tell me that everything is fine, and do not acknowledge any problems on their end (my upload/download speed used to be good before AT&T bought out SBC). About a year ago, I had also purchased an additional phone line to my house. Being that AT&T is my phone service provider, I had to get it through them. Now, instead of giving me a new phone line like I had paid for, they simply gave me an additional phone number to use on the same line. A few months later, an IT friend was over to look at that (had problems with "second" phone line, and said they I only have one phone line for the house. I later called AT&T, and they confirmed that I had been paying for two phone lines yet only had one, and the second one was never implemented. They finally did put in the second phone line, but never offered any money back or months free for paying for a second phone line for several months even though we didn't have one. If you have secondary providers for phone, cable, and internet in your area, I strongly advise using other providers.

I have read all kinds of complaints how horrible service AT&T gives. { I know this category is long distance carrier}Try working for them. they treat their employees like crap. Hire people who now think they have a job only to find out they have to do a lay off with no warning now these employees are brought into an office thinking they have a job only to say "you are done as of today" and only offer two weeks severence. no wonder employees have bad attitudes. they are always in danger of being let go with no sorry what so ever. I had a close relative who worked for this lousy company with the promise that this job would last for at least a few years.he worked in the passport division. only to be told we may not be renewing the contract so bye. Not sure if this is true or a lie on At&ts part. AT&T seems to be good at lying to their employees. no matter how good of job they do for this ungrateful company. this relative of mine worked his ass off for them and always got excellent review. he dealt with upset customers who did not get their passports. he was always courteous to them and could calm them down. to the point this customer would ask if they could have him again. but just like that they tell him and a bunch of other At&t employees we are laying you off permantly bye! a lousy place to work. they lie to their employees with a shrug of a shoulder. Do NOT work for these crooks, they will hire you with the promise of a job only to let you go no warning. no wonder I see so many lousy reviews. they are a lousy company period. I would love to see AT&T go under. they are a terrible company all around. just so you know they are also terrible to their employees. even the excellent ones who gave them their best to treated like crap. P.S. that employee was my husband. they claim that they did not renew the contract for the passport devision yet others are saying this is a lie. Stay away from At&t is all I can say they advertise that they are hiring with the promise of a "great opportunity" career. do not buy it. chances are they have no intention of keeping you.sorry if this sounds bitter. but my spouse gave everything to them and look what it got us.!

I recieved a phone call from an At&T rep saying that I was eligible for 4 free cell phones so I asked about the details and the plan was actually cheaper than what I had with Nextel, so I decided to get 3 of the 4 cell phones. The rep waived all the shipping charges told me there was a 2 year contract, etc. I was fine with all of that so in the end I asked him when I should recieve the phones he told me 4-5 business days. I said OK. Well day 7 gets here and still no phones, so I decided to call ATT to find out where my phones were. The rep that I spoke to told me they were still pending to be shipped out. Because I didnt talk to the original guy that called me I had to call ATT, this rep that I spoke to he cancelled the order and tried to re-enter the order so he could make commissions on it. So finally I am told that I should recieve them within 3 days. SO I wait. 5 days gets here and no phones so I call back the original guy I spoke to and he tells me that the order was cancelled. WHAT!? I never cancelled anything..so he talks to his supervisor and then I try to find out what is going on, but in the end now I am not eligible for ANY cell phones. RIDICULOUS!!!....I also ordered high speed internet and still haven't recieved my box for DSL because the same guy that cancelled my cell phones cancelled my DSL...I am still waiting and it has been almost a month....I do not like ATT at all, they try to steal your money, and make you wait. Who wants to pay $750 a cell phone for a deposit? NOT ME!!!! All of them are rude and after you have been waiting on the phone for 20 minutes youre kinda of irritated, they dont care they have bad attitudes all day long!!!

The WORST company to do business with but I guess it just speaks to the world that we live in... big corporations focused on only one thing $$$$$ and the little guy is just not important enough. What a sad 21st century this is going to be!!!!

Horrible Horrible Horrible!!! That is the only way I can describe them. They don't even deserve 1 star. I have been billed for other people tapping into their phone line and they wanted to charge me $80 to come out to fix THEIR line. I signed up for bundled service and was promised a Gift Card as a reward and six months later I still have not received it. I have contacted them literally 10 times and I keep getting different excuses and outright lied to. They finally sent me the card and it was empty! Use anyone else but not them.

AT&T's customer service makes Sprint look like an award winning operation. I placed a bundle order 10 days ago and I still don't have telephone, internet or television. I have logged in over 20 calls and waited a total of over 4.5 hours just to find out what's going on. Now I can't even find anyone who will take my cancellation order because they say the number is locked in with a third party who handles changes. I was looking forward to getting an I Phone but I'm not that much of a masochist.

Been having problems since it's been installed almost a year ago. The original connections were bad, the next connections were bad, and the connections were bad. Now the DVR keeps freezing and resetting the box. When the box comes back on the recorded shows were erased. This happened twice. Customer service outsourcing is very evident. Losing movies and my mind!

To all you military and non military people I am going to tell you about Att service and customer service. I am going thru att and have recently moved to a different state. We no longer get any services at all, at my house and by the local grocerie stores. We have called several times to let them know and the just give us a run around. At first they told us that there towers were down so we had to wait 48 hours,so we called them back, Then they told us that we had to change our number so we did that and still no service, so we called back and they told us we had to get a new sim card so we did that and still no service so we called again and they told us we would have to pay to get out of the service even though they have a military clause ( not really) they just say that they do. They also told us that within a year they are getting more towers where I am at and I am just outside of phoenix. We have tryed getting ahold of the company itself and they haven't got back with us. neddless to say there service is shity and I will never go with them again.

Out rite HORRIBLE customer service!!! Not willing to listen or even help you out when it's not even your fault. Also, their reps seem to never leave notes on your account about what was talked about, agreed upon, or arrainged.

I called to have service established and thats when the troubles began! There was a number (ACTIVE) when I moved in which I informed them of. They said it would be replaced with my new number. The day my service was to become active it did not, however the other number was still active at my residence. I called customer service which told me it WAS active that there was something wrong with the wiring in my home. WRONG answer, I am a telecommunications technician with over 30 years of experience. I informed them that I was talking to them from my butt set (test set) just like thier technicians carry from the telephone network interface box on the side of my house. They insisted that I did not know what I was talking about (essentially calling me a liar). They said they would send somebody out to check the wiring in my home by 6:00PM. I told them that was unacceptable and that I expected them by 12:00 or would be cancelling the service. Of course they did not show up until 30 minutes after I cancelled the service and install and went with another provider (which went smooth and I love the service) It was to my surprise that I recieved a bill from them for 56.33 saying they were sorry to see me go? Out of curiousity I went back and unplugged my phone from the cable modem for my new service and plugged it back into the wall jack. The service from the OLD number was STILL active. I have since called them and informed them that they will remove it or I will clear back up to the pedestal located in my back yard. DO NOT USE ATT!
