I have had Verizon Wireless for a long time. I never drop calls and the only time my phone bill is really high is when I mess up and dont read before i choose a option. Customer service is GREAT I had a problem with my phone makeing calls they were able to fix it in just a few minutes. For all of the people saying MY BILL WAS TO HIGH I DIDNT MAKE THOSE CALLS. suck it up and pay your bill because you know you really didnt check your minutes or read what you should have...Verizon Service has been great to me the price is worth it after my experiance with ATT and Tmobile.. if I could give Verizon Wirless another Star. I would...

I hate Verizon Wireless. After 9 years as a customer. I asked customer service to upgrade my phone to the Blackberry Curve. They said I had to pay full price of $409.00 So I switched to T-Mobile because Costco cell phone kiosk had the blackberry curve with rebates & discounts. So I paid 75.00 for the phone & $125.00 early termination fee to Verizon Wireless. So I saved $209.00 by leaving Verizon Wireless for T-Mobile. Then Verizon Wireless has the nerve to mail me an offer for the same phone for $59.00 if I Pay $175.00 early termination fee to T-Mobile and come back to Verizon. Some how, this is their dysfunctional Idea of rewarding their oldest customers. I will visit every review site and warn consumers to stay away from Verizon Wireless.

I was once happy w/ verizon wireless. I've been a customer since i dropped cingular after the att merger (the first one). I was very happy during my first year that I told everyone they need to switch. It was very reliable - i NEVER dropped calls or had service issues. That has changed gradually over the last few years and has gotten very bad the last 3-6 months. I'm not at all happy w/ their customer service either - they always refer you to call in on a landline phone. if you don't do this or have the capability to do this (which i don't - i dropped my local phone service years ago), you are pretty much screwed.

I want to give credit to Verizon for their customer service. Every time I have called with a question they have been very kind and helpful.

However, I have been very disappointed with Verizon in many other ways. First of all, it is often times difficult to find decent reception service. I have been in buildings and areas with no service when people around me on other plans have perfectly clear reception. I have used verizon for many years now, and I was at first impressed with the small percentage of dropped calls, but am becoming more and more dissapointed as this percentage continues to rise.
Secondly, with texting, it will often times take my phone twenty minutes to an hour to send or receive a simple text.
Thirdly, I find many situations where someone has called me and my phone does not register the call at all (no ring, no missed call, nothing). There have even been situations where I have been sitting next to the person calling me, both of our phones show perfectly clear reception, yet my phone does not register the call. I have a family plan of 5 phones, and all 5 users have experience the same sort of issues.

I do not recommend verizon wireless.

Verizon is a piece of crap. I get lost calls like 4 times a day and half the time the other person can't hear a dang word im saying. I have a family share plan with 2 lines. Its supposed to be 69.99 a month + 20 for unlimited texting (10 on one line and 10 on the other). And my bill comes in to about 122 dollars a month. Its ridiculous. I thought i would be paying about 100 bucks. I'm upgrading my phone to a voyager to see if i get better service if not, im going to get really angry with verizon. !! Their customer service is great but the network is NOT reliable at all!!!!!

I have service with Verizon Wireless. I bought a phone in December 2007. May 2008 the phone quit working. I took it to a Verizon service center, they said that the battery terminals are corroded so it would not be covered by a factory warranty. WELL, if the battery caused the corrosion, it should be covered by warranty, NO IFS ANDS OR BUTS! Don't make the mistake by going with Verizon Worthless.

I'd like to make a few comments about VZW. They truly are the most reliable network, and I can say that because I have been with 5 different networks. I don't know why people say they are so expensive...they have the same rates as at&t (sucks) and their customer service is extremely nice!!! honestly, you have to remember that your paying for the network, so if your worried about price, then try sprint, who is oh so cheap, but you won't be able to use the phone becaus you'll have no service 3/4 of the time. at&t customer service is extremely rude and I don't know how they can keep customers. plus, vzw works with you when you go over your minutes, etc...at&t, they dont even give a crap.

I switched to At&t before my verizon plan ran out because.my phone bills were outrageous! I had a 450 min plan and for three months or so my bill was very high because they said i went over my minutes. Now one thing about me: I am VERY RARELY on the phone, so I know these charges couldnt be valid. I called countless times about this and they pretty much told me to bend over and take it. They refused to do anything about it, so I raised my minutes to a 900 min plan, which was pretty expensive, expecially when i knew i didnt need it. The last month i was with them, my bill showed i went over 900 minutes, and that was the last straw. The only thing i miss from verizon is their phone selection. My phone had everything i needed and more, and i never had a problem with it. Unfortunately, that's the problem im having with at&t now - shitty phones. ive gone through so many junk phones. oh well..thats the price you pay i guess. theyre all out to screw you in my opinion.

I just switched to Verizon from Cingular (big mistake). I have had more dropped calls in the one month since I switched than in all four years I was with Cingular. The coverage map shows complete coverage in my area, but the voice quality is horrible, and most of the time, the people I am talking to over the phone complain that they can't understand me because the first half of my sentences are cut off. If it is not a problem with the network, then they are simply selling crappy phones. I had to upgrade the programming on my first model, thinking the phone itself was the cause of the poor quality, but then the phone stopped working all together. I am not on my second phone (I went with a motorola.. another mistake) and the quality has not improved one bit. I am NOT looking forward to being stuck in this service for the next two years :(

I got my recent bill from verizon today $604. Three months ago I brought 2 of my 3 phones to verizon to find out why they were not working (one being the chocolate, which sucks tremendously). They claim that they fix the chocolate and replace the other with a new phone. I went away on an educational trip for 3 months, and never was able to use my new phone once because it died right away and would not take a single charge. The chocolate, my daughter got a week out of it and it stopped working again, giving a computer error. I had no service on both those phones and it showed in the system that those phones were not used for that period of time. I called Verizon today and they would not budge on the bill, although seeing the phones were not used and they were unusable. I went to the store where I bought them and took them for repair, and they would do nothing for me but try to sell me a new contract. They claim 100% customer satisfaction, BULL SH-T!! They don't care about customers because they're too big and can afford to loose a few here and there. They lie on the phone and don't give you their correct name so you can"t file a complaint against them. Consumers, DON"T USE VERIZON... YOU WILL REGRET IT.

I'm on my 4th phone in the same model line, and each one has deleted my address book entirely.
The coustomer serive sucks untill you get to a general manager, who was the first person to tell me about they're address backup system, WHICH I FOUND OUT TODAY DOESNT WORK!
I have extream anxiety, and had an attack at the local Target, went to call for a ride/help, and no phone numbers. I went to back up, no luck either.
I can't belive how much hey don't care that this model is so unreliable! I they wont even let me trade it in for a cheaper model in exchange, after i've returned 4 to the warehouse!!! I'd have to buy a new one at FULL PRICE! Thats like 145$ for a cheap one!
I just want a phone that works, or people who are willing to help fix it!
My family and friends who use this are so fed up with them that we're all leaveing after our contracts are up.
DONT TRUST THEM!

They will charge for mystery minutes. Their network was good. I don't have any complaints but I used to pay over 100$ on an average for the duration of 2 years I was with them and I had a plan worth $60. Why? If I could figure that out, I would not writing this review. Also, I asked them to disconnect my service on my billing cycle date so avoid any pro rating for cancelling in the middle of the billing cycle, but sure enough, despite calling them 3 to 4 times (being particular), they cancelled my service in the middle of the month and charged me an addition $100. Mind you, my service WAS DICONNECTED on the billing cycle date BUT they said it was ACTUALLY disconnected 15 days after. How? I don't know. So i paid for 15 days that I had no service. O yeah, they had records of minutes used too BTW.

I switched to Verizon from Cincinnati Bell (a complete nightmare) and the CSRs are angels compared to the treatment I used to get. Granted they are not the best but a LOT better than Bell's. (one guy actually hung up on me) Anyway, I don't think their rates are any higher than Cingular, which is the only big competitor where I live. (Sprint is a joke here.) Also Verizon's texting rates are a lot cheaper than Cingular. I have never been incorrectly charged (unlike Bell). I like how you can program your phone to update your contact list every night so it's always online and you can redeem your numbers should something happen to your phone. Their 611 number is a nice convenience as well. In addition, while I don't have reception everywhere in the US, I have had it in many more places than my friends who have Cingular and Bell. And I like the new-every-two plan. It's nice to get a free or seriously discounted phone every two years since they stop working by then anyway. Of course there are always things to improve on but I am quite happy with the service overall.

I recently purchased a Motorola Q in July of 2007. Since then I have had to have the phone replaced 5 times. Customer service is usually rude and their rules and guidelines for dealing with your problem changes from person to person. Overall I am extremely unhappy with the Motorola Q and with Verizon for selling me a product that they are unwilling to stand behind.

I will have to say, Verizon is the best with no drop calls and has service everywhere but, they are very expensive! We have a family plan with 4 lines. Our bill should be $160 a month but is $600. We asked them why and they could not give us a reason. They said we havn't gone over our minutes and we have unlimited texting. Their costumer service is not the best. They have great serive but terrible billing. I recommend you get another carrier unless you want to plan on spening 3 times your bill.

Verizon is awful. I don't even get service in my apartment! In the middle of town! They charged me 200$ twice in a row. I have unlimited in texting on my plan and they say I went over. All the people I text are on verizon!! It's a scam. When you call and ask for reasons they run you in circles and then say there is nothing they can do about it. I am closing my account this week. YES I am paying 110 to close early! but it's saving me alot more in the long run!! I am so angry!!

Don't believe for a moment that you will have 30 days to cancel your new phone service with Verizon. They will tell you that they are sending a truck to your area to improve the service. They will tell you that you need to remove your battery for at least a minute daily and then hit *228 to reprogram, and on and on until the 30 days are up! Of course after that you know what they will tell you....it's too late to cancel....your 30 days are up. Buyer beware...I have read all the complaints on the various reviews and have experienced probably everyone of the same issues. I moved from the Midwest had a wonderful cellular phone service there for 7 years so my experience with Verizon was shocking.

My son just moved over to AT&T and it was smooth. As we tried to sign our younger son up for a new line with us on the Verizon Family Share Plan nothing could have been made more difficult. On-line, person-to-person -- it was all a terrible experience. I started working on this yesterday and we still don't have a new phone number for the younger son's phone.

Their menus are impossible to figure out, as is their ring tone download system. And their online access is ludicrous, to be mild. Consumer Reports rates Verizon as the best cell phone company in most regions; I'd hate to be with the worst!

Why must they make it so g-ddamn complicated?

I had a horrible experience with Verizon Wireless. I was a customer for 1yr when I bought a Palm Treo from them. I added unlimited picture messaging, but they charged me for data usage when I sent/recieved pictures becuase of the type of phone I bought. At no time when I bought the phone was I told that Treo users would be charged data kilobytes for picture messages. I called the company to tell them they were violating their own Terms of Service. They did nothing and continued to charge me every month. Instead, they wanted me to upgrade to a Data plan. I would not recommend this carrier if you have a palm Treo phone ... or if you want an honest, ethical phone company.

This company opened a new account without my husband or I knowing we were doing so and I started getting creditors calling me. They never sent me a final bill from the old account and would not allow me to access the information. Three months later I am still fighting them. I will GLADLY PAY the $175+ PER LINE charge (we have 4) to GET RID of Verizon Wireless at this point! I would think more than twice when dealing with this sneaky company anyday!

I changed plans with verizon and was NOT told I was starting a new contract and would be subject to early termination fees. I reached executive customer service and they did not care. They said I was informed and would have to pay the fee. In essence, they called me a liar. I would never have made the change if I had known it would start a new contract. So much for customer service.
Beware the monopolies! They get away with whatever they want to.

Having to leave the country for ten months (for gradschool), I called verizon wireless and told them to put my cell phone service on hold, for the 90 days they allow. No problem. Yet, I am still being charged. On top of that I just realized Im being charged double! My plan says 59.99 for my verizon access service, which is what I agreed to and is what is listed as my current plan on my account, yet in the bill they say $91.99 for verizon access service and several other numbers for taxes and other bs leaving a grand total of $122.00 this month for a phone that has not been used?
Its sitting, turned off, in my drawer, in London, where it doesn't get any service even if it was on, since Sept 2007. They know it hasnt been used because in my account; it says 0 minutes used. 0 texts sent. 0 incoming calls. 0 out going calls and yet they charged me $122.00? When my plan is $59.99 and when I asked them to stop service two months ago?
They never stopped it. Last month my bill was $104.00 and this month $122.00. The worst part is I cant call them from here. I tried on my UK cell phone but its useless. So I emailed an angry letter to them but thats all I can do and it leaves me feeling very frustrated and helpless.
My already non-existing pile of money is getting less and less. I think what Verizon Wirelss is doing is a mix of bad business, robbery and very shady. (Where is Robin Hood and his merry men when you need them??)
I also have a past history with Verizon changing my plan without notifying me and without my consent. I would not recommend them to any one. As soon as I can I am changing to a new provider (I doubt I will get any better service but) I urge other people who have had shaddy dealings with them to do as well. The only way to stop a bully is to stopping giving him your money!

Yes I'm a verizon wireless fan but i agree the service is starting to become very poor in some areas and very good in others. For example a couple years ago when i first bought the phone it worked great! i would see full bares on my phone almost all the time but i think last year i started to see that this was becoming a very rare occasion. The only time i see full bares now are when I'm in the more populated areas in Maine (i live there) but when i go into the rural areas i get weak signal all the time sometimes no signal at all... I'm not sure whats going on we should all def. call Verizon and inform them about these problems and maybe they will take us seriously and make some changes to there so called "reliable network"

This worst service ever! I have a problem with a bad signal at my new apartment. I called up Verizon Wireless and they sorry but the contract says "Service inside buildings is not guranteed". I said that might be true but isn't it true that the service outto work? The Supervisor shows me some attitude and says you are stuck. We cant help you. Get a booster which costs 250 to 1000. I said give me a better phone atleast and for that I got a list of phone I can buy at regular price. Thanks! I am stuck in the contract for a while now, unfortunately. NEVER BUY VERIZON WIRELESS!

I agree with the last few posts. Lately Verizon Wireless is giving a sub par service. Sometimes the service is good, and sometimes its junk. I'm using them for sometime now and hoping they will continue giving very good service just like what they've been doing before but I'm close to giving them up altogether now. Bottom line is, they're very inconsistent. They better put their acts together before they lose more customers.

Motokrzr - VERIZON WIRELESS

This phone is inept / junk.
Ive had it about 1 month and had to exchange it for another within 2 wks.
1. The screen would freeze and not able to make or accept a call.
2. The battery drains much faster.

I received a new replacement within 2 weeks and it started to do the same thing. While trying to flip open the phone a few times to hopefully help it along (so as not to have to return it and go to verizon and wait 2.5 hrs during work hours-AGAIN) it slipped out of my hand, fell, and the outside cracked like a mirror. Verizon refuses to replace even tho Ive been a dedicated customer many years and never had any problems previously -THEY SAID I HAVE TO PURCHASE A NEW PHONE - I HAVE HAD THE "NEW PHONE LESS THAN 2 WEEKS" AND HAVE TO USE THIS FOR THE REST OF MY 2 YR TERM - LOOKING FOR ANOTHER CARRIER (rather than pay them for a new phone) VERY POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE!!! Anyone else have problems email me at: joesmix.yahoo.com

They may have a good signal but the service is awful. They are slow to add new features. Billing is horrible. Takes months to get problems fixed, if you do it is a miracle. Prepare to spend much more than you thought you would and spend lots of time each month calling the billing department.

verizon has been very good up until now. i have now realized that theyre coverage has not been as good ever since i moved. i also realize that verizon has the highest prices for the lowest selection of phones. i went to an at&t store with my friend a few weeks ago, andthey had a very large selection andn verizon offers either outrageously priced super-phones or super full of crap phones that are priced too high. do not recommend this service, except for the fact of their insurance. its great. with at&t they make you pay fifty bucks to get a new phone, when youre insured. with verizon, they completely replace your phone for free and insurance costs the same monthly price. that gives it an extra star for sure.

Verizon needs to stop ripping people off with "premium text messaging" so-called-services. They are doing the billing for third parties but when you call to dispute a bill, they say that you need to contact the third party. The third party will discontinue your so-called-subscription, but they will seldom credit your so-called-account for the charges they have already processed. This is a rip-off similar to charges for calling 900 phone numbers. People with children are often the victims of this FARUD. Shame on Verizon for facilitating this SCAM.

I just got SCREWED by Verizonwireless. After being a loyal customer for 10+ years. Doesn't mean a thing. Two weeks ago, I'm eligible for the New Every Two discount of $100. The phone I'm going to upgrade is w/ my son who's out of town at the time. I check Verizon's website and I see that I can get the Motorola MotoKRZR free w/ a 2 yr contract renewal. There was NO MENTION of any promotion period when I'm checking, so I assume that it's my regular eligible upgrade. NOW, today, I'm ready to order and like Fairy dust, NO $99.99 discount. I talk to several reps, Jerry, Gerald, etc. They are all good at saying SORRY, SORRY, SORRY, but we can't help you. This line was a secondary line on a Family plan. NO mention that it's not eligible for $99.99 upgrade.
When my contract comes up for renewal in two years, I WON'T FORGET HOW I WAS SCREWED BY VERIZONWIRELESS. In addition, the reception is LOUSY in my area (ZIP code 80524).

I have to admit I have been very happy with Verizon for the past 2 years, I can say that I have not had ANY dropped calls and there is always a signal.

Verizon's Customer service, not so good, they dont know anything about their products, and they never answer the questions you ask them, but you know if you look at ALL the wireless companies their customer service sucks in general.

If you want to get anywhere with Verizon send them a certified letter overnight with receipt, and they are forced to take care of matter, and frankly the many hours you would spend on hold makes up in price for the postage.

To summit up: BEST Wireless company, Mediocre Customer Service.

BE CAREFUL!!! I have used Verizon for over 5 years. I was notified that my two years was up, or so I thought, and so I could upgrade my phone. Because of that, I thought I could switch to another company because they had a phone that better met my needs. Well... turns out that the notice comes out TWO MONTHS before the contract end date and now I owe Verizon the $175 early termination fee. What a bunch of crooks. Funny, the 'supervisors' name was James Smith and he was the only supervisor in all of Verizon who could talk to me. Plus, I can't even review my old billing information via the website. Someone needs to look into this company! I wish I could give it a ZERO

Coverage is good with the Verizon Network although my phone (a Motorola) will often drop calls. The Verizon customer service is mediocre at best. Generally the hold time is not too long and they will assist you but they seem to be limited in their capacity. I have often been told by a representative or technician that I will need to go into a Verizon store to have a particular issue resolved. If you don't have all the time in the world, this can be a very frustrating experience. Customers should also be aware that it is not a good idea to upgrade a service online while in the middle of a billing cycle (although Verizon never eludes to this on their website). I made this pitfall recently and was told I would have to pay the extra $30 they added to my bill. Having worked in a call center before I knew exactly what to do - "cancel". As soon as that word left my mouth I had a retention representative jumping to remove the extra charge *and* prorate my next bill. Overall Verizon is not amazing but I don't know any current wireless phone company that is. For that reason, Verizon is the best of the average.

BAD BAD BAD - STAY AWAY

better coverage and stronger signal in general (i say in general because it still won't work at MY HOUSE but will work 10 mins down the street
) but it's SO not worth the price of admission. i've been a customer for multiple years and won't be any longer. TERRIBLE customer service.. enough bad experiences to keep a log of them. they lock down ALL the cool/advanced features that are the selling point for their higher-end phones (the ONLY carrier to do that, by the way.. most others encourage you to use all the features of the phone, or at least make it so you can if you choose to) which means it has to be their way or no way. case in point, you can't transfer data from their phones to a computer (like pics and tunes) because they've had those features specifically locked out for on purpose. why, you might ask? simple.. now the only way you can actually use the phone for anything other than talking is to pay their ridiculous nickel and dime fees on everything. got a camera phone? too bad.. you can take all the pics you want but YOU CAN'T GET THEM OFF THE PHONE unless you send them over the air to an email address and PAY for each message separately! same with tunes or ringtones. want a phone with an mp3 player? verizon's got one.. but, oh.. forgot to mention. you can only put music and ringtones on the phone if you BUY them separatley from the verizon music store.. no joke. just do a few google searches on reviews. also, when you have a problem.. good luck getting ahold of a real person, or when you do, someone who has more than a 50 iq. STAY AWAY

The good thing about Verizon is that reception is available most places. Cingular did not work in my apartment, so I had to switch to Verizon.
I've had a number of issues with Verizon, but they've taken care of each, even though it can be very frustrating dealing with their Customer Service.
1. Many problems with their automatic payment system. It was set up incorrectly and my bill wasn't paid about 5 months in a row. I got a late fee each time and had to call every month to pay and to have the late fee removed. They helped each time and only once did someone give me a problem and not apologize for the inconvenience. I don't know why it took so long to have the problem resolved.
2. My husband put his phone on hold for a military deployment, but they still charged him for a month. There is a $60 credit on the account and they will not provide a refund until the phone is turned back on. The only way to have it placed back on our credit card is to reactivate the account for 30 days (and pay for it). Ridiculous.
3. I needed to upgrade my minutes / month, but they prorate minutes when you change plans mid-cycle so you end up getting screwed if you are using too many minutes and need to change. I complained about this and they agreed to retroactively up my plan from the start of the billing cycle. I was very pleased about that.
4. Check with your work to see if you can get a Verizon discount. I get a 17% discount for working for a university. They also have 15% military discounts.

This is the worst company I have found yet! I hate Verizon Wireless! Customer Service is HORRIBLE!!! Over the summer I had someone tap into my line. People would say they tried to call and got a spanish voice mail. (Mine is in English). So I tried calling my phone and 7/8 times, I got this guys Voice Mail (and I hit redial every time). I call Verizon and they reset my phone and then it continued!! When I got my bill it was $400!!!!!!!!!!!! When I called they said that my story could never happen and I needed to pay the bill! Really. Because I have so much time in my day that I just sit around and make up stories to tell them. I told them the dates and names of the people I had talked to about this problem over that past few months and they said there was no record of this and that I could pay 1/2 now and 1/2 later if I wanted!!! Now, recently, we went over our minutes by 191 min. My account online said that I could upgrade to the next plan if I wanted to save money. So, upgraded to the next plan which was 79.00. They charged me $300!!! They said that changing my plan only allowed me part of the original minutes so I went over 350 instead of 191. Then, it charge me the $20 to upgrade! I am so mad and I am sure that customer service is going to do nothing. I am so envious of people with AT&T!!!

I've renew my plan 16 days ago and they just sent me a letter about my rate change. Called them and the call center supervisor name Kevin Robinson was very rude. I've been with them for 5 years now and after I renew this time around they raise the monthly charges after the day that I can terminate my plan. This is a horrible way to practice business and also again the call center supervisor did not want to help nor acknowledge that this is a problem and refuse to answer my question.

Read your bills they are changing your contact next month. On my bill it says that they are changinh the text message charge from 10 cents to 15 cents, which means a customer can cancel their contract if they want to, and not have to pay the 175 fee. They will put you through to a manager to try and keep you, but this is something that lets you get out of your contract and I am taking the opertunity to cancel my service with them.

I had heard good reviews in the past--but like so many companies, it is not so today. I signed up for a basic service package of $39.00 a month and my first bill, with NO OVERAGES is $139.00. There is a $37 surcharge! For WHAT??? I am so outraged. Don't be sucked into their scam of "your in" because, the truth is THEY are IN, if you know what I mean.

Verizon Wireless screws its custmers every chance they get. When you think you might be able reason with them, they make feel like waiting on hold forever just to let you know that there is nothing they can do or possibly very little is a big favor. .
Sorry you got hosed there nothing I can do.
THANK YOU, and have a nice day. ( Loser )

I recently switched from Spring PCS to Verizon, and the biggest thing that Ive found is that the network IS bigger and better. There is more coverage, and fewer dropped calls. With cell phones, what could be more important than that?

My husband and I have been Verizon customers for a very long time, and until the last two months we have been happy with their service. So, let me warn you of what we are "running into". On our last two bills, we have been charged with what they call "delayed usage" charges. What the customer service person told me was that if we travel and have not updated our phones via *228 before we leave and when we return, we are running on other mobile services towers and not Verizon. The CS rep told me that Verizon gets billed from these other companies and then they bill us. So, if Verizon has generated our monthly bill already, we are getting charged by the minute instead of towards our total minutes (that we all know that we have already paid for). So, is it our fault that Verizon does not get these charges in time to put on our bill??? According to the CS rep it is and we have to pay for it... If it was onlu a few $$ per month, I would be ok with it, but when it's almost as much as we pay for the plan to begin with and we still have over 300 unused minutes at the end of our billing cycle, I am getting pi***ed.... Unfortunately we have almost two years left, we are considering terminating it early. We are doing everything right, but in the end we get screwed.
So, I am happy with Verizon?? No, not anymore.

i lived on the east coast (NJ/NYC) for ten years. during this time i would say that Verizon had the best service overall in comparison to T-Mobile or Cingular or Sprint.

However, I just moved to the West Coast (LA) in July and dropped Verizon not a month later. Most of the places I go I can't even get a signal. I walk in buildings and my calls are dropped. Their customer service people are rude and totally unhelpful.

What is this *228 crap? No one does that on a GSM network.

Verizon Wireless is a great marketing company. They seem to have brain washed so many people into thinking they have the most reliable network. Perhaps in the North East but on the west coast they suck. Avoid them like the plague.

Verizon wireless has a third party billing arrangement that allows Veriozon to ripoff customers. My son dialed a site that started sending unsolicited "Premium text" messages. As Verizon's rep explained it to me, it wasn't Verizon, it was the third party. I requested the third party's contact information to disputed the charges and was denied the information. If it wasn't for the $700 termination charge for my four (4) phone lines I would not be a Verizon customer any longer, when the contract expires, so will my association with Verizon Wireless.
RIPOFF'd by Verizon Wireless

Verizon is by far, the best company out there. I think if everyone actually paid attention to their bill, and what they do with their phones, they would realize that its not always the customer service department that is making the mistake. Verizon has never done me wrong. I have no complaints.

I signed up for Verizon Wireles' cheepest (39.99) 400 min for one line (one phone). plan and thats what they said it would cost plus taxes... This couldn't be any further from the truth. For the first month they charged me the OUTRAGIOUS WHAT-THE-FUCK CHARGE of $600. The extra $560.01 was labled as activation fees; none of which were mentioned to me upon initiation of service. When asked, the sales person (whom I bought the phone from) said "these things happe
