I have two Gretsch models, a New Yorker acoustic archtop from the 1950s and a bottom-of-the-line Junior Jet electric. The New York is a very nice guitar, perfectly suited to low intensity music. The Junior Jet I use as a practice and traveling guitar, and it does the job for what I need. It's a one pick-up job that was made in China, but, I find it to be a well made model and certainly has provided good value as it only cost me $225 a few years back. Other models I've played have been the Tennessee Rose and Country Gentlemen. I thought these were just OK, yet, I know advanced players who swear by them. I felt the White Falcon was a superior model. And, of course, one of my dream guitars is the Duo Jet, which is on my shopping list.
