Marshall 4

I have a Marshall JCM2000 DSL 100, it has great distorted sounds, but its lacking in the clean department. Also, it lacks some bottom end. If your looking for great mid-range crunch this amp is a monster. Great for classic rock, but not as versatile as you may think.

Marshall 4

I am of the opinion that  Marshall ruined their own amps when they started putting master volumes on them back in the mid-seventies.

Marshall 5

I have the Marshall jcm 2000 dsl 100w w/ the vintage 1960's A slant cab and a Gibson Les Paul doublecut with p90's.. the combination of the two is like heaven!!! this amp can take you all the way from the extremely clean sounds, to a light crunch, all the way to a heavy metal sound(like metallica or megadeth!!!!!!!) some people just don't know how to set it right, because i've heard some reviews that say that it has bad distortion and can't sound like metallica, well buddy metallica uses marshall's, and so does megadeth! I even cover metallica using just the amps distortion and a crybaby. the point is.. this is one of the most versatile amps ever created, I can play anything with it! I give it a 10++

Marshall 4

I had (HAD) a marshall AVT150 head. Granted, it was a good head. The distortion was good and the clean was ok. The acoustic sim sounded like crap and went out on me after about 6 months. The effects freaked on me too. When I turned it on the effects would be freakin and loud and wierd so i would have to shut it off and then it would be ok. There are so many amps out there and for around that price, the crate shockwave, or tidalwave blows that amp out of the water. Huge sound, 3 seperate channels, built in tuner and effects. Plus it more than doubles the marshalls wattage. The crates have 350 watts!! Huge/better sound and huge watts for the same price as marshall, im sold.
