The Nextel 1000 series has been a boon. I have been able to save so many dollars because I switched to this service. Hope people become wise and switch over...

What aggravates me about Nextel type phones is a lot of people do not know how to use them. They turn the volume up loud on the walky-talky feature and leave it up, as if the world wants to hear their conversation when they are eating lunch in a restaurant.

This phone has a design flaw. The connection between the battery and phone is prone to failing, causing the phone to turn off intermittently. Very annoying!! Nextel will not acknowledge this problem even though it is widely known.

Extremely convenient if you run a small business that employs people working outside the office. The sound quality is extremely rich. There is not much distortion when talking on the phone. Although their phones are pretty bulky, it is really convenient to use.

The ones that have the CB's are very annoying. Ten of my friends talk back and forth sitting down together.

Awesome phone, great reception, excellent for professional and personal use. Very expensive.

Great phone and great features. The email/text paging feature is a plus. The only problem is that it's somewhat bulky. Other than that, it's a great phone. Also, the walky talky fuction is really handy.

This is an excellent phone which is very compact and easy to store. It is also good in the fact that it has a phone to phone ability, so people can talk to eachother without dialing. It has a very good connection and also at the same time the connection is clear.

I really like the looks of this one and the size. Not to mention the speaker phone feature which normally I might think sort of obnoxious cause I hate being on speaker phone but could be really useful for calls made while driving, or possibly for business calls if two people are sharing the line. Unfortunately Nextel really isn't marketed toward the individual consumer market as much as the corporate so their prices are a bit high.

My mother has the phone and I like the way it looks as well as the sound and options.

Why in the world Nextel i1000 doesn't have *69? I have missed many important calls and not have been able to return calls because of the lack of *69 feature. *69 should be a standard feature in every phone.
