I purchased two pair of quite expensive shoes from Neiman Marcus and when I opened the box both pairs of shoes had NO boxes. The Pradas are to come with care card, auth card, dust cover and of course the shoe Box but nothing. The boots where expensive suede leather trim boots and they were rolled up and thrown in the box with the other pair of shoes just laying there. I contacted customer service online chat just to keep getting cut off. I called the customer service line and was redirected to the person I was online with and she told me that she was busy and thats why she kept cutting off my online chat. I will never purchase from them again. So they tell me they will send the boxes and the accessories I am missing, but I doubt it. I have had much better sellers on ebay ship orders that Neiman Marcus.

The worst customer service ever! I was expecting above-average service considering what they charge for their merchandise, but this is ridiculous. My return was refused, totally unworn and never used, because they said I had exceeded the time limit of the"return policy" which apparently is 180 days?! There is NOTHING on their website in black and white to indicate this time limit, the policy clearly states if you are not happy "you may return in a timely manner"; Apparently if you return something and they don't feel like taking it back "180 days" becomes the magic number. I am so mad I am considering taking legal action against them because I feel that this policy is misleading to consumers.

Their online store is the worst! I will never shop there again. They promised a $200 giftcard by 6/10/2008 and now their saying I will receive it in couple of days. Worst return policy also. I would rather spend my money at Nordstrom.

Recently, I purchased a coat online from Neiman Marcus's Bergdorf Goodman online site for a price-reduced $2500.00 after taxes and delivery. When I received the shipment, and tried it on, I decided that the jacket was an awful fit. Because of that, I returned the jacket back to Neiman Marcus.(Scroll down below the pictures for more)

Much to my surprise, Neiman Marcus did not accept my return, and refused my refund! Unbelievable! So you ask me now, how I should feel. I bought something from Neiman Marcus, only to find out that Neiman Marcus has disavowed any knowledge of ever selling the coat to me.

This is just unbelievable! How is this possible? I know what I did. I bought my coat from Neiman Marcus. I received my coat from Neiman Marcus. I sent it back to Neiman Marcus - and now they tell me it's not their merchandise. So now I am stuck with a coat that I do not want and I am out $2500.00.

The thing about ONLINE SHOPPING is that an atmosphere of trust has to exist. Let me explain. Whenever you buy online, it's always a little unnerving because you never know what you're going to get when you buy something that you don't get to try on first. You see all the merchandise that you may potentially like, and so you buy all the merchandise that you may potentially like. You figure, "why not?" If the return policy is good, then what's the risk? Whatever you don't want, you return back to the online vendor. It is your right after all. Or is it? For Neiman Marcus, well, that all depends on whether the merchandise you bought from Neiman Marcus is from Neiman Marcus at all or considered a Neiman Marcus merchandise in the first place.

For those of you who have never had any problem buying from Neiman Marcus or Bergdorf Goodman online, you may probably think that you will never encounter any problem of your own. Well, in truth, I also USED TO feel this way. For years I was a repeat customer. Not any more. So if you are okay with the possibility of not getting your money back from Neiman Marcus should you want to return a purchase, please go right ahead and continue buying from them. As for me, I'll never do it again. I'll never shop from them online or in their stores. I've learned my lesson.

Neiman Marcus has always been my favorite store. I shop at the Northpark location in Dallas, and the selection is fantastic; they have Gucci sportswear for men! Customer service is superb (when they know you, and you have their card), but sales clerks who dont know you tend to be snobby. Try lunch at the Zodiac Room at the downtown loacation where it all began.

I like the Chanel department, but the other sections of the store won't help you unless you're white and old. I actually had a job interview there that I walked out of because I couldn't stand how rude and stuck up everyone was. Terrible service.

My experinces at Neiman's have all been pleasant and the service is typically superb. During Christmas time, I was trying to find the perfect gifts for my wife (who tends to be rather difficult to shop for). The sales person helped pick out gifts that made my wife very happy. Their fur vault is a great one-stop shop for any guys like me who hate to spend hours in clothing stores- let alone woman's intimate apparel. Not a store I would recommend for men though...

I have a Neiman Marcus AND Bergdorff Credit Card and I have to say that these stores are NOT for the average person -which I am. However, I do enjoy looking around through them and ordering something on-line once in a while. If you are a cardholder, you can receive their wish book at Christmas and it will make you faint to see those prices.... Never-the-less, when someone see's that you have a Neiman's Card or view's that on your credit report, they know you mean business!

Fun to visit, eye opening to see the absurd prices they have on everything, the sales staff is very, very rude and snobby, what gives with that? I would prefer Nordstroms ANY day of the week, but, N-M has to be experienced at least once so you can know that they are not better than your regular stores, just much higher priced!

Sharp looking store, wonderous selection in apparel, but watch out for sticker shock unless you've got deep pockets.

Expensive and not very good quality. You can get better at JcPenny or Macy's. Terrible workers...I had to warn you.

"Needless Markup" is fun to look around in, like upstairs in the gourmet, wine and other non-clothing goodies area, but way too expensive... I seem to remember they don't take regular credit cards too, but just their own store card...

They got rid of their womens department. What's up with that. I think more than half of the women in the country are sizes 14 plus. That doesn't sound like a good business move in my eyes.

Nieman Marcu is simply absurd. I can picture the heads of it laughing their asses off at how people actually pay the prices of the things they sell.
