We bought this dishwasher for our new house. It looks nice but we can't keep the thing from breaking down. The service techs have been out to our house three times in 9 months. The service techs that are sent out can't keep an appointment and have been almost as frustrating as the dishwasher. I suggest you keep looking for another brand. Stay away from Kitchenaid.

I am so unhappy with my dishwasher. I've had it 2 years, it has been repaired twice. Once a bad electronic console and then the motor was bad because it was missing two latches. For over $1000, I wouldn't expect so much trouble. Also, don't use it with softened water, you'll be buying new glassware every other month. Every precaution they recommend is useless, the glasses are all badly etched. Do NOT buy this dishwasher: model KUDS901DJSS0. Its the one with the controls on a top "hidden" panel (not really- the panel sticks out from the cabinetry.) Huge disappoinment. In future, I'll look to kitchaid for my mixer and leave it at that. Piece of junk!
