I have a GE Profile dishwasher. It is very quiet, with a stainless steel tub for tall pans. It just doesn't clean dishes. If you do not completely remove all food and residue, it will be on the items on the top rack. It does not clean as well as our 18 year old Kenmore.

Our GE Profile dishwasher is one year old and the motor makes an annoying growling/low rumbling sound. GE put in a new motor and the new motor does the same thing. Poorly engineered motor or something! Would NOT buy GE dishwasher again.

Do not buy this dishwasher. After one year I am already going to replace this dishwasher. It does not get soap off of the dishes and food residue dries in the glasses on the upper shelf. Very disappointed in this GE product.

Our GE Profile dishwasher is 6 years old. It doesn't clean nearly as well as a KitchenAid we had at our previous house. Food residue remains on dishes. We also have had trouble with several inches of water remaining in the bottom after the wash cycle. The first time it happened, we paid a GE repairman over $100. to replace a $10. part. Two years later, we are again having the water in the bottom. We will try the $10. part replacement ourselves, and if that doesn't work, we will purchase a KitchenAid again!

had a few years and the motor is leaking water and the machine goes off before finishing the wash. Was told we have to buy a new unit because it wasn't worth fixing.
