We moved into a house built in 1994 with a GE Potscrubber 680. I am not impressed and am shopping around for a quiet dishwasher that doesn't leave goo on my dishes. I suppose it's time for a new dishwacher anyway. It's 15 years old now.

I am very surprised to read all the negative comments about the GE Potscrubber dishwasher. When we had our house built in July '96 a GE Potscrubber 680 was the standard dishwasher installed. It's been 11 years and we use the dishwasher, on the average, every other day. We have absolutely had no problems with this dishwasher.

I've read all the comments abou the potscruber...funny...you would think ya'll were living with me. It is a piece of junk. I have never seen a dishwasher rust. We have a home waranty, so it will cost $50 to fix the leaking problem. Or the waranty company can buy us out for $200 and we can replace it on our own. Any recommendations for a good dishwasher that won't break the bank or fall apart in just 7 years?

G.E. products in general are not reliable. This dishwasher's motor broke causing the dishwasher to flood my kitchen and ruin my floor and kitchen cabinets.

My GE Potscrubber 680 is a piece of junk. It doesn't clean well and it leaks from the motor. Lucky I caught it in time before it ruined my cabinets and drywall. Thank you GE.

Our GE PS machine worked OK for 5 years but is now leaking water from the motor area - it is now done - seeking a new machine after 5 years

I've had my GE potscrubber for over 4 years and it has been nothing but trouble! It worked for about a year then started to leak, skip cycles and not drain at all. Super bad! Never again GE!

We've had our Potscrubber 550 for 11 years. First thing, rack nuts rusted away. Now, water leaks from the motor area...sispect bad seal. Based on previous entries, think it's time to invest in a new dishwasher.

I have a 4.5 year old GE potscrubber that is constantly breaking down. The GE product line will probably never go into my home again. My home builder saved money, while I got stuck with the junk. Avoid GE products.

WE had a brand new PotScrubber GSD2200 put in our new home 5 years ago and now have to replace the motor. It is costing me just as much to replace the motor than to buy a new one. This is the second time we have had to fix a problem, the machine is very loud and does not clean the dishes at all.

Terrible - all the rubber parts turned into paste is less than three years. Our water tested good enough to sell as bottled water.

I don't think that GE makes the Potscrubber Series anymore but I was very happy w/ mine. I had it for 18yrs and although it wasn't the quietest, it cleaned the dishes just fine.

We paid almost $400 for this potscrubber dishwasher. After 4.5 years, it leaked greasy water all over the floor, and the repair man said it would cost more to repair the motor seal, than it would to buy another dishwasher. So it cost about $100 per year. Model G8C3200Z00BL. Junk. Literally.

The racks rust away after three years.

Several years ago GE invested heavily into their dashwasher manufacturing facility and have developed a great product. For too many years GE got by on their name alone, now they are indeed offering a competitive machine at competitive prices. Their sales have increased significantly and quality is the reason.
