Do not buy this refrigerator. I have owned a GE Profile kitchen for 8 years. The refrigerator has been repaired 4 times. The first 2 times were under warrenty but my brand new wooden floors were ruined. The first 3 repairs were to the water line at the back of the refrigerator. Apparently the motor got so hot that it melted the water intake mechanism at the bottom of the refrigerator allowing water to run everywhere. The 4th time was to repair the ice maker which decided not to turn off and just kept making ice until the freezer compartment was overflowing. Now is time for my 5th repair. The top portion of the freezer and refrigerator no longer get cold. Ice doesn't freeze at all and food spoils. I refuse to put another dime into this farce of a refrigerator. I'm done with it.

This frig. has been a major disappointment. I bought the thing cash less than a year ago and I've had nothing but problems. Within the first couple months the ice machine was repaired. Then the bottom freezer was not actually freezing so repair person came out again. At some point he had to repair the ice machine again. Now the darn door handle has come off. Calling the GE Cust. Service is a joke. After waiting over 10 minutes the woman was of no help at all...she was very condescending....i then asked for her supervisor and she never even picked up the phone. I will never buy another GE appliance again. BTW, i'm not happy with their stove or dishwasher either...but that's another story....hope this helps.

The freezer compartment can achieve sub-zero temperatures without running constantly. The shelving and compartments are well laid-out and easy to use. The only flaw is an occasional problem with the ice dispenser - easily fixed by stirring up the ice in the ice-cube compartment.

Great frige, icemaker is complete junk. In five years, the icemaker has been services three times-twice for spitting water inside the freezer, and the third for dispensing only crushed ice. Buy an extended warranty.
