I think it's a great bike. I bought one about a week ago and have ridden it every day. I purchased the bike with the intention of mostly light trail riding. It does great on the trails and is comfortable on the streets as well. Would definitely recommend it for a beginner.

I am disappointed in the quality of the rear axle. I have 2 for my sons and both need to be replaced. 1 is less than 1 year and the other less than 2 years.

I bought a 2002 Diamondback Outlook, for $209.00. For the money, it's the best bike you can get. Hard core bikers are better off saving to get a bike with nicer componets, however. I put on a nicer rear derailleur and that helps. A good bike overall, though. Takes a beating.

A good basic bike for beginners. Inexpensive. However, the bike's paint chips easily and I don't like the placement of the gear shifters.

The breaks wore out quickly. Light, but the steering sometimes is difficult.

I have always liked Diamondback bikes because they are light, and last forever. The gears have never given me problems and the seat is comfortable enough so that you don't have to shell out an extra twenty bucks to buy one of those gel seat cushions. If you want a mountain bike that will not give any problems, you should definitely get a Diamondback.

Excellent bike that is very durable and dependable. Very well rounded, for being a basic, relatively cheap bike. No shocks or quality tires inhibit it from being a top mountain bike, but good for street use.

I like the look of the bike. I think it looks really good.
