When I first bought this bike, there were at least 5 things wrong with it. The drivetrain was messed up, the bottom bracket was too loose, and the fork was a piece of junk. It kept making a clunking noise whenever i went to do a bunnyhop, because it had a faulty cartridge. So since then, I had everything fixed, and it is turning out to be a pretty good bike. The fork runs smooth since it was fixed, plus I put the firm ride kit on it, and it feels so much better. If the factory would have built it right, then it would have been an awesome bike, but they didn't, so I have taken it to the shop 3 times so it runs the way it should. I've only had it for about a month, and its gone from crappy to a real good deal. I would recomend putting new tires on it and a firm ride kit for the fork also, unless you like a very soft fork.

Incredibely poor quality. Seems underdimensioned to me, like if it was simply not meant to be used as an everyday means of transportation. I am also unsatisfied with the balance of the bike. Have had the following troubles in 3.5 years (rides maybe 15-25 km:s a day): - replaced the rear gear casette and chain twice - flywheels seems to last 1-1.5 years - one of the gear shift handles broken and replaced - one brake caliper broken - mountings for brake calipers deformed, both front and rear, meaning I can not get the brake pads straightly adjusted at the rims. Compared to my previous bikes, a 10-geared Crescent and a 12-geared Motobecane, this is junk.

Great bike for beginners. It comes with decent components for the price. Downfall is the full suspension models. Only recommended if the rider is not hard core. Easy to upgrade.

Incorporated features found on very expensive bikes such as Rockshocks, aluminum frame, and Shimano components, for an affordable price. The Rockhopper is a lightweight, ideal mountain bike for a serious mountain biker.

This is a good bike if you get the aluminum frame. The only downfall is the suspension. It is not very good but it gets the job done.

This bike has been an incredible asset for biking around campus, with it's ability to maneuver around broken roadways, on and off road. i would definately reccommend it to anyone looking for a quality mountain bike.

If you are a beginner mountain biker, the RockHoppers are great to buy. Solid, relatively cheap, and a good performance for the weight.

Good for females geometry. More for the legs! Overpriced for a cheap bike, though.

I've seen this bike on ESPN. It looks very nice and can handle high jumps with the super shocks.

This is a great bike. I see it everywhere because it's such a popular model. Get this, my friend had a RockHopper (yellow), and it got stolen...somebody really wants one. The frame is really great for doing freestyle tricks, and the components are overall good quality, plus the price is reasonable.

Great for off roading. The suspension was good because it saved my back going off jumps.

I think that the RockHopper series is good because of the shocks and the frame supports well. It is a very durable bike.

The Rock Hopper is a bike that makes me nervous about wether its going to break when I jump unusually high. I don't trust this bike.
