don't be fooled by the price and spec of this bike, with an odd addition here and there, this is a cracking bit of kit

Don't be fooled, there are better bikes out there. But the Trek 800 series is for those of us who want a good bike at a reasonable price for fun and recreation, not serious riding. The bikes frame is light enough to allow you to lift it over obstacles but strong enough to resist denting after falls. The gears, shifting and brakes are all shimano made (which is a good thing) but simply not as fantastic as the high end models. But invest in this bike and you'll enjoy it for years to come.

I bought the Trek 800 Aluminum about a year ago, and I am pretty happy with the product. The only thing I should mention is the size of the wheels. I believe this product has only sizes 16" and 13" available. I think they should consider offering the 17" as well.

Too long in the torso. Hard for female riders. Otherwise, a great bike.

This bike was durable and light. I ride it in the mountains on tough rocky trails and the bike has stood up for a long time. The price is also competent.

Great suspension and color finishing. The seat is too close to the handle bars however.
