I have a TREK 930, which I got back in '96. It is a very durable bike, probably due to the CroMoly steel frame. I still have the original brake pads, and just last year replace all the cables. The only problem that I had with it was the rear cogset had to be replace at around 1200 miles. I don't ride it through mud, but will take it through most terrain, when dry. It is a 16.5" frame and fits my 5'9" frame well. Very comfortable and fun to ride. I would get another TREK for my wife, so we can ride together.

This bike is fine for the occasional trail rider, but it's really heavy. I wouldn't want to have to carry it over a stream, or anything serious. Also, the tires that come with it are too chunky.

This mountain bike is a nice ride. Easy uphill and down hill control. Nice front and rear suspension. Looks great!! But make sure the bike isn't too big. My bike was too big, and I found myself falling off a lot and injuring myself. I'm 5'6" tall.

My brother has this bike. I like it more than my Gary Fisher. It's a smoother ride and the shifting is better.

This is the best mountain bike for downhill racing. It is plain and simple, and even though it is a little high in price, once you ride, you will see. I am a Trek bike owner, and I am happy about it.

Love the great colors they have come out with.

Hard trail bike that handles excellent offroad. It doesn't cost much to upgrade either.

I gave this bike a three because the seat is not that comfortable.
