I have two cats and the one when i adopted it had a chronic problem with diarrhea. I tried several foods with different main meat ingredients in case he was allergic to a specific meat i even tried a grainless diet(all the foods were top quality not grocery store brand) and nothing seemed to help -after worming him(he didn't have worms, but we did it as a precautionary measure because nothing was working-antibiotics etc...) and several trips to the vet i was ready to give up-can we say wet poop all over the butt-yuk! So i read up on the internet and someone recommended a higher fiber diet so after looking around for a good food with higher fiber i found dick van pattens L.I.D. green pea and salmon fit the bill and decided to give it a try. In a little over a week the diarrhea was gone! After months of dealing with this for it to be gone in a little over a week was such a blessing-I'm so thankful that i decided to try this and he hasn't had any problems since and that's been over a year ago. Both of the cats have shiny and soft coats and maintain their weight with a free choice option of having the food available all the time. It may not be for every cat, but it worked out great for mine.

I have a rescued formerly-abused cat who had the worst chronic messy diarrhea problem. Everything gave her diarrhea. But if she is strictly on the Natural Balance wet food, it clears up. She likes it, too. Loves all the different flavors. So she stays on the Natural Balance. It works for her.

I ordered this over the internet for my three cats and not one of them liked it. One thing odd with the cans was that every can you opened, there was a different amount of cat food in each. Some of the cans were only half full and on the bottom of the cat food it was always a dark brown. It was like the food had aged at the bottom and turned brown and the rest of the food was a pink color. This was a waste of money. I tried a couple different times to feed them this food because I had ordered 24 cans of it but they never ate it. Normally, I have one cat that will eat anything.

The food is of good quality, no question.  There are 4 meal products here, plus some good grains, fruits and vegetables to balance it out.  What's more, they do use flaxseed for the Omega fatty acids as well.

I do have to quibble with the brewers yeast, though.  They have almost all good ingredients, yet they use an alcohol production by-product?  I just don't understand the inclusion of that.  It's like going through college with a 4.0, and then tanking your last couple classes because you figure it's "good enough". 

If you're either on a budget or don't want to venture outside major pet stores though, this is a great choice.
