Switched our new norrbottenspets puppy from Pro Plan to Horizon Legacy Puppy. I just believe that high protien, no corn is better. Anyhow the puppy was bred on this food for the first 8 weeks of his life and still looked fabulous. I did notice his stool was coated with slime though and he went twice a day. With the new food he goes once a day and no slime. Horizon Seems to be better.

I can't really give this food a full review yet because I just started my dog on it today but just thought I'd give a little feedback to those interested.

I have a one year old dachshund mix. She has a sensitive stomach and has had bouts of diarrhea and vomiting on other premium dog foods (Wellness, Nature's Recipe, Blue Buffalo). I now switched her to Purina Pro because I think those foods were just too rich for her and she might do better with a more "mainstream" dog food that is more balanced and monitored.

Today when I brought home the new bag of food (Beef and Rice Shredded Formula), she immediately ran up to it, sniffing it excitedly and barking and begging to have some! I think thats a good sign and shows she'll at least like the flavor. Hopefully this food works for her...
