With its policy of only accepting candidates with relevant management experience, Warwick Business School has a higher average age range than many of its competitors. This does tend to reduce its score in the rankings but, according to the Association of Graduate recruiters, businesses are looking for graduates with more than ‘book learning’. Warwick have also begun a module on its full time MBA called Practices of Management which ensures that all candidates receive practical, hands on, management experience during their course. They are a European business school and should not try to offer North American style management courses, turning out clones that are not seen as especially employable since the decline of the accounting consultancies.
