He is a waste and time to retire. In the minority he is so extreme that only his seniority keeps his head above water. I wonder how he dodges the latest disclosures by his former staff!

Simply a great man with integrity.

Conyers is a Congressman from Michigan, he was the one of the founders of the Congressional Black Caucus. I think he puts too much focus on racial matters and past injustices. Some things are better left in the past, the civil rights movement has to move on to the 21st Century if it expects to make a positive contribution to American society. On another note, Conyers earned a distinctive place in American history by being one of the first 20 members of Richard Nixon's enemies list. As a young congressman from Detroit, he spoke frequently against the Nixon Administration's policies.

This man wants to destroy your freedom on the internet. He wants you to go to jail and pay a hefty fine for sharing your files with others. If you live in Michigan remember this man on election day. He is NOT your friend.

John Conyers is just another crybaby minority intent on dividing Americans, and getting something for nothing. Like many Clinton compatriots, he should be put on trial for treason.

Anyone liberal enough to be used as a Gore attack dog against Ralph Nader probably deserves a good rating. But the fact that he attacked Nader keeps him from being great. I just read an article online about this. If Conyers sees Nader as a traitor, what does he think about his own party, which picked the corrupt fundraiser McAuliffe as its new chair? What does he think about Clinton waiving the human rights requirement for military aid to Colombia? What does he think about Gore just sitting there in the debate and allowing Bush to say everyone on death row in Texas got a fair trial? Gore and Bush agree on the Iraqi sanctions, though they've killed hundreds of thousands of children without hurting Saddam. Nader didn't betray the Democrats--the Democrats became Republicans on so many issues we have to play up the few remaining differences just to keep awake during an election year.

When I can understand what this guy is whining about, I generally disagree. If I'm not knowledgeable in the area of discussion, I take Conyers opinion, reverse it, and abopt it as my own. A class "A" bufoon.
