For awhile there he was pretty hot. But things seem to have cooled down for him. I enjoy his acting and his comedy. He is one role away from hitting it big again.

I don't miss him one bit. He was lousy on The Daily Show and worse on CBS. How's that acting career coming, Craig? Can you say Steve Kometco?

He comes across as smug, arrogant and self obsessed. Not great traits for a talk show host. Not even in the same ball park as Conan. Go back to ESPN, you condescending twit.

I consider anyone arrogant who calls decent celebrities gay. I imagine they would probably have a problem with Paul Newman too,not just Clay. You go Jay Leno!! You are #1 O'Brien and Kilborne, go soak your heads in the toilet!

thank god he retired. not that i ever watched his sh*tty show much (only when conan was on reruns) the rare occasions i did see this unfunny trainwreck of a show, i ended up regretting it, im just glad that the torture wont be inflicted upon anyone else anymore.

I like Craig a lot. His self-absorbed jackass thing is just an act. Well...sort of. Either way I think he's pretty funny and I'm sad that he left. I hope Michael Ian Black takes over; he did a really good job as guest host.

I was sorry to hear that Craig Kilborn was going to end hosting his show. He did a good job the past 5 years. Late night is a tough field when you're trying to get some viewers who are still up. His 5 Questions segments were always funny, making the guest get past the same tired questions about their next movie, show or music album. At least Craig got past combing his hair so slick for every show, later trimming it and spiking it up. Kilborn's wiseguy approach was quite effective. He had lots of alternative rock bands perform on his show, something that Leno or Letterman seldom do. I think that he might have been worn out of doing the show that he decided to step down. So Craig, thanks for 5 to 6 yrs. of your show on CBS! Wish you the best in your next new thing!

I think Craig has a great show where the setting is quite intimate and he makes his viewers feel comfortable. He also makes his guests feel comfortable. The whole show has a very close-knit feel to it. Like just a chat between friends

His writing is terrible and unfunny, his pretty boy persona doesn't work, and he is a mediocre interviewer. His questions are pointless, and just goes on and on with meaningless chit chat. In the news is the one saving grace.

Killborn is a one trick pony, namely smarmy sarcasm, that appeals to a segment of the late night audience that is more likely to be inebriated and grinding to a bad OutKast remix at Foam Night or slipping ruffies to high schoolers at a kegger in an Iowa cornfield than watching his inane rambling. Interviews are either ingratiating or irritatingly condescending (at times to his guest at other times his audience) Unamusing, arrogant, sexist, and homophobic. Essentially Jay Leno without the humor.

Pretty much the worst late night talk show host in the history of the genre. I saw some sub hosts for people like Letterman who were funnier, more camera-friendly, and who had better on-camera mannerisms than Craiggers (uggh..what a godawful stupid nickname). He needs to start his improvement by discontinuing his I'm a pretty boy looks at the camera and at his monitor. Beyond that, I don't know what else he could do to improve. CBS should replace him or cancel the who Late Late Show idea. Infomercials would be an improvement from Kilborn.

He was THE man on The Daily Show, but his own talk show? I get the intent, but it still needs a lot of work. The theme song sucks, the studio seems too small, the color scheme seems all wrong, he doesn't stick it enough to his guests, particularly the brainless Hollywood hotties, and he looks too much like that Queens of the Stone Age dude. I think in 2 years his show'll kick, if it's still on.

Craig Kilborn is the funniest man in late-night tv, and he will always be the best in my books. I don't care what people say, they don't know the real Kilby. They think he's self-absorbed and full of himself, but the truth is, he's a "simple kid from the midwest" and nothing more. His act is about being cocky, but what he's really doing is mocking himself, as well as the whole Hollywood personality. He's pretending to be one of them. He's saying "Look at me! I'm a big star now!" Cause that's how they really are. If you actually watch him talk, there are moments when the true Craig comes out, and it's priceless. You can literally see him snap in and out of his act. He is really a classy, private guy and this quote sums it all up: ""There are misconceptions that could stay with you for a long time or they'll go away. It's more the responsibility of the critic to watch the show and figure it out. It's no skin off my back. I've always had thick skin, but I'll tell you, it's a lot thicker than it used to be." I'm out. Proud

I absolutely love Craig Kilborn! I think is show is hilarious. I used to like Letterman but he has become grumpy over the last few years and I like a feel good show which is exactly what Craig provides. The writing on his show is great and the "In the News" segment could not be funnier. I am so thankful for the show because the other late night shows aren't even remotely funny any more. The other shows might be a little crazy but not really funny. I like Conan but he tries way to hard and Leno sense of humor is pretty much pure cheese. I really hope Craig continues to do what he is doing and maybe soon he can have Letterman's time slot. (Sorry Dave but I think it maybe time to do something else buddy) Love Ya Craig !!!!!

I just want to say that I love Craiggers and I'm proud of him...hehe. I have been looking at all of these other comments, and I've noticed a lot of people think Kilby is arrogant and self-centered. It's funny how I've never thought of him that way. I always take his egotistical comments as sarcasm. He's just putting on a great show, that's all. Plus, even if he is egotistical...I love it! Proud!

Craig Kilborn is a genius! It's Letterman #1, Kilborn #2, Connan is a dork(he is a good writter but his presentation is bad), and Leno is least funniest thing on earth. Anyways back to Craig...He definately reflects an early Letterman-type style. Kilborn has a lot of funny, tongue-in-cheek comedy segments. The Late Late Show is put together with a lot of thought and style. Craig has the best "camera awareness" ever...even rivaling the almighty Letterman. Kilborn's delivery is remarkable...cocky, quirky, and personal. Proud of you!

I've been watching craig for about a week now (not a stalker-no worries Craig! Ha!) I like the light-hearted banter he has with his guests, musical performers have been pretty good, and the Kilborn-cartoonish film clips are amusing.Yes, he maybe a funky white boy,but he's very entertaining and seems to get on well with whatever guests he has on,makes them feel cumfy. Here's to a great 2003! Craig...you RAWK baybee!

The heir apparent to Letterman. Both are definitely acquired tastes, Kilborne perhaps more so. His humor is as much in the persona he's created as any of the material that's written for the show. If you don't appreciate the persona, you probably won't like the show. I love, in particular, the tongue-in-cheek ass-kissing he gives his guests. Some appreciate it, some "get it" and appreciate that. When he becomes comfortable with intelligent women, he'll be the best host on late night.

I'm not going to sit here and say that those who don't like Kilborn "just don't get it" - that's ridiculous. Everyone has his/her own opinion, and there's a lot to be said for and against Craig Kilborn. Sure, he's narcissistic and comes off kinda schmucky. Sure, he's self-centered and self-important and self-(insert suffix of choice here). But, he's different. That's mostly what I like about him. He's not everyday self-deprecating like O'Brien, Stewart, and Letterman, but he's not above mocking himself and letting the humor come at his expense. What he lacks in interviewing skills he makes up for in his lack of caring who so-and-so is or what they do while Leno and O'Brien fall over themselves for a celebrity. Yeah, Craig will have you on his show, but that's just it: It's his show. Don't get all huffy if he hasn't seen your movie or read your book. You'll notice he doesn't get all bent if so-and-so doesn't watch or has never seen The Late Late Show. Kilborn's kind of humor does echo that of Letterman's heyday in that it's very random and often totally out of left field. He even has a signature feature like the Top Ten list; Five Questions. And I love that it's just him up there. O'Brien had Andy Richter for a long time and now falls back on Max Weinberg, Leno has Kevin Eubanks, even Letterman has Paul Shaffer. Sometimes Kilborn riffs a little with writer Mike Gibbons, but not every show. There's no house band, and you'll notice that he introduces himself; for the most part it's just one guy behind a desk. Nobody will ever top Dave in my book, but if anyone comes close to the late-night legend that is Letterman, it's Kilby.

Craiggers is a cocky smartass, and that's one of the things I love about him. He is simply one of the funniest guys on television. He makes me laugh everynight with bits like 5?s and Yambo. And with those boyish good looks and that muscular 6'4" frame, I love that he's the last thing I see before I drift off into sleep.

Maybe's he's not the worst but he sure does suck at being a host. It's not that I find his looks alone irratating as hell, but he's not funny. How can a guy, be in sports-then do comedy? You dont wake up one day and say you wanna be a magician, it comes natural to you. Plus I think he's great on LLS, why? because it comes on so late!! Everyone's asleep and nobody watches :). By the way for you those of you who thought Craiggers was so great on Daily Show-since Jon Stewart started host ratings have gone up 400% BEAT THAT!

Kilborn is good and his show is silly at times. I think if you have the time it is worth a look. I think he is funny and I like 5 questions and the way he interviews his guest. Kilby seems comfortable, relaxed and ready for a joke in any situation. I think he has a staff of young funny writers.
