Tonight my mother was watching television when she saw Judge Judy on television. I guess Judy was asked to run for president.  She said its too stressful of a job!

There are about 500,000 Judge Judies grabbing numbers in any NY deli or bakery any day of the week...okay, with the exception of maybe Saturday.  And they're wittier and funnier, too.  Retire already.

I recently was a plaintiff in a case before Judge Judy and the primary reason I took it to her show is because I knew that I would win!!!! It was a clear open and shut case about someone failing to pay me for my services. The person even had the ordacity to claim that they did however JJ in her infinite wisdom saw through the BS and granted me a win with a monetary judgement. I was more interested in exposing this person as the liar she truly is even though she did not actually have to pay. And when the show actually airs, this individual will have 10 million plus people seeing her as the liar she is. I must confess before I actually appeared on the show, I did not care for the judge either but she had been able to see through the evidence this was bull and that I was entitled to getting paid!!! GOD BLESS AMERICA AND GOD BLESS JUDGE JUDY!!

Do not go on her show unless you have all your facts together. She can be pretty rude, but to be fair, 75 per cent of the folks on her show are complete morons.

She's lke me, she has no tolorence for stupidity. However on the flipside, she is a little rough on some. Most deserve it though, some people are just good at making horrible decisions.

Well I liked her at first but then I read in one of those newspapers (The Globe)that the show is a set up. Think about it...have you noticed how sometimes the people are disrespectful towards her and say stupid things to get her mad? If you're trying to win your case why would you do that!!? I'll tell you why, according to what I read the producers told the people what to do before they go in front of the camera. What's more if they lose their case the show pays the fines etc. In addition they get to stay in free hotel and eat a free lunch while here in Los angeles!!

You know, sometimes I really agree with Judge Judy. Sometimes she points out things I hadn't noticed. But, I think that many times, she just tries to be a bitch for ratings. I can't stand that 1/2 the time, she won't let people talk because her mind is already made up. I hate that she always takes the word of the elderly for gold. Does she not think there were criminals in the 20's? Well, just because they're old doesn't mean they aren't capable of lying.

I think Judge Judy is great so STOP criticizing her!!! She yells at people because they DESERVE it. Judge Judy is almost always perfectly fair in making her judgments. And, she is smart enough not to let her emotional guests take control of the situation. She knows exactly what she is doing.

If she thinks that she's impressing me with that loud, not to mention rude mouth of hers, she's sorely mistaken. Your job is to get all the facts from all parties, not just the facts that YOU want to hear.

Judge Judy is living proof that ignorance can be disguised as wisdom when it's covered in a black robe. This woman is so saturated with bias and jaded by her own life experience that her heavy venum drips from the scales of justice and leaves a foul stench on all who seek legal recourse under her warped jurisdiction. She validates my firm belief that common sense is far more valuable than a high IQ.

At first glance I thought this woman was the biggest bitch out there but after I actually watched the show I realized that the people on the show are idiots and deserve to get yelled at. I think it's funny how people think it's wrong for her to yell at these people even though they know that they will be appearing on the Judge Judy show and be treated like idiots before they arrive on the set.

I can't believe that this show is still on the air. To me, it seems that the longer she is on, the ruder that she gets. I hate how she'll yell at the people that are trying to tell their side of the story. Someone will try to tell her something that could help their case and if it's something that she doesn't want to hear it, she'll yell, "I DON'T CARE ABOUT THAT!!!". Judging from her age, she should have gotten over menopause a long time ago. Why is she still so snippy and bitchy?

i think that judge judy is one of the smartest, articulate, and straight forward person that i have seen on tv and as a judge. from my point of view, she is professional with litagants that are prepared, reasonable, honest and also professional. if someone comes in there with bs, beating around the bush so that she has to yell for them to get to the point or thinking that they are going to make her believe something that she knows isn't true, i think that they should be given a harsh wake up call such as the one she gives. not only is she funny, but she makes absolute sense and from reading the comments on this board, no one has suggested otherwise. if she is 'unnecessarily harsh' it's because she's spent 24 years on the bench trying to convince people to use their everday common sense. there's no reason (as an adult) to be as stupid as some of the people on the show seem to be. i'm not knockin judge hatchett because that's what works for her, but now a days people eat that sort of kindness and a pat on the butt for breakfast. if my son ever got into trouble and had to go in front of a judge like judy, i'd be happy because that no nonsense, straight forward, snappy attitude would put him right in place.

She is usually right! She's honest and blunt. Often the show is very funny because the people are not very smart.

This show has to be some kind of act. Judge Judy is a "shock Judge" just like Howard Stern is a "shock Jock". The way she demeans people is just outrageous. Her verdicts are based more on emotion then the law. I can't believe anyone would take a case that is important (to them) and let that idiot decide it for them. Her "act" is all about ratings. This is just about as close to Jerry Springer that you can get.

It pains me to give that nasty, psychotic BITCH even one star. I don't believe anyone so obviously biased and utterly lacking the ability to control her temper could possibly be a real judge (except maybe in traffic court???). If she is a real judge, she gives a bad name to the American judicial system. She doesn't listen but appears to make snap judgements based on whether she likes the person's appearance. She interrupts. She insults the people who come to her court more than necessary. (They can make fools of themselves without her help.) And if I hear her brag about how smart she is and how stupid everyone else is by comparison one more time, I'll PUKE. (What's up with that anyway? Maybe a severe case of an inferiority complex trying to mask her sense of self-loathing?) I have to admit it's interesting to watch her in the same way that it's interesting to rubberneck gruesome car wrecks, but I hope she gets the psychological counseling she so desparately needs.

What is up with this old lady? It is very tiresome watching her histrionics and narcissistic remarks. How many times do we need to hear. "On your best day you are not as smart as me on my worst day". Judge Judy is just plain RUDE. A person with her age and experience in her position should have learned by now that every person deserves to be treated with respect and dignity until they have proven themselves unworthy of it. There is no excuse for her to behave the way she does to most of the people who appear before her. She should take some lessons from Judge Hatchett.

haha I'm laughing as I write this. This show is ridiculous! Judge judy reminds me of my eighth grade English teacher. I wonder how they choose which cases to take... there was one show where a mom was sueing a teacher for $9 because the teacher was filming a play and he didn't film the lady's son enough or something like that. It's like watching infomercials- pretty brain numbing.

I work for a supreme court judicial system and she is a disgrace to the fine professional judges in this great country. I can't stand to watch such chaos in a courtroom.

Judge Judy is personally responsible for this wave of sarcastic, arrogant, abusive television court room shows. It is wrong for her to expect the litigants to behave in a respectable manner when the judge they are standing before does not. The cases are obviously screened to ensure that the most entertaining cases and the "easy" cases make the show. This show gives viewers the impression that all cases have a clear "right" person, when that is hardly the truth. Judge Judy has done more damage to the public perception of american justice than any show since the OJ Simpson trial.

I find it amusing that Judge Judy is included as a talk show host, falling into the same categroy as Oprah Winfrey and Rikki Lake. Yes, she may be an evil old woman, but that doesn't mean she's not fun to watch. Sadly enough, I know someone who appeared as a guest on this show. He got a free trip to LA, with board included. He lost his case, but the amount of money he was ordered to pay was actually covered by the show itself. On top of that, he got extra payment to appear on the show. Judge Judy is obviously a woman who believes in a just America.

Judge Judy is RULER OF THE FREE WORLD (says her ads). No pandering to sleeze as the woman tells it as it is. Most shows of this type include the sleeziest of the sleezy as litigants; feature argynebt and shouting, Judge Judy rules with decorum and a bit of humor, The only judge show to rival this is Judge Joe Brown,

I like to watch Judge Judy whenever I can. Sometimes l find it so funny.I think people are getting to uptight about this programme, after all it is supposed to be controversial, Isn't it? We could never have a programme like this in the UK because my country is now too politicaly correct.
