06/30/2008 | My absolute favorite clothing store. Conservative stuff that looks sharp and is appropriate for any business situation, as well as classy casual wear. High price but high quality. Some people criticize their lack of "edginess," but trust me, you wear "edgy" clothes and people are going to be silently judging your outfit instead of listening to what you are saying.

05/08/2008 | Maybe a year or two ago, women's shirts and men's shirts were both 3 for $189. Within the past year, they've raised the price on men's shirts to 3 for $199, and women's shirts to 2 for $149, hoping no one would notice that the rate of increase on women's shirts was over 18% while for men's shirts it was only 5%. This is pretty outrageous on their part especially considering how much more material goes into making a men's shirt in comparison to a women's shirt. Did they think women wouldn't be smart enough to figure out this blatantly sexist pricing?

04/19/2008 | Superbly crafted clothing which will stand the test of time. Quality is first-rate. Higher prices, but they do offer sales which makes their items attractive when compared to higher end deparment stores. BB stands behind all their clothing and shoes no matter what. No questions asked. Most items are made in U.S.A., England, Italy, or the Far East. But when they are made in China, the material is imported from Europe usually. Very friendly and helpful staff and they are not overbearing nor patronizing.

05/20/2007 | Ordered items on last Monday, it is now Sunday and they still have not shipped, in spite of my being told on checkout they would be out within a day or two. Moreover, I did not even get the standard e-mail confirmation and delay updates other merchants provide. The order is in the system (shows up under my accounts tab) but they just do not communicate with their customers. To add insult to injury, half the items I ordered that were listed as in stock and reserved are now no longer in stock and will be delayed. Getting one's distribution system right is key to e-commerce. In this Brooks has failed me repeatedly (I'm frequently subject to false availability info). They should fix these problems or take the site down. Ordering from them and expecting on-time delivery is a bit like playing the lottery.

03/24/2007 | Y-A-W-N. They do their utmost to recreate Ralph Lauren but have little of the latter's pizazz and quality. I'll stick to RL on Ebay if I'm going to pay the same price.
Update: my comment refers to women's clothes in the last 2 years.

12/28/2006 |  Everyone here says BB products are quality and they are. The Wall Street Journal tested suits for quality a few months back and BB came out roughly 2nd for strength of weave, 1st for wrinkle resistance, and was one of the few that actually had the "Super XXs" wool level advertized. As for price, pay attention to the sales, as they are great! They just had their "Day After Xmas Sale" and I got two of their "1818" suits, normally $898, for $508 each.
As for style, I think they are conservative, but it you just take a little time to look over all their styles, you can find some that look totally modern and fresh... just not as many as say Calvin Klien. I'm 27 and have 4 suits from them that women my age have frequently complimented me on. You just have to look harder and have a good sense of style yourself to put it together since their normal stuff is conservative. Oh, and WSJ also ranked their non-iron dress shirts about second overall (behind Jos. A Bank). At the sale mentioned above got 3 of those for $44 each.
So, deals and style are possible at BB.

02/04/2005 | I have several Brooks Brothers suits, dress shirts, pants and jackets and I have never been dissapointed with the quality. In my opinion, you can not find a better suit for under $1,000. I have been hard pressed to find shirts and pants that are as reasonably priced for the quality as well.

08/18/2004 | Brooks Brothers provides tasteful and sophsticated clothing that truly is timeless. When you pay for a Brooks Brothers item, you're paying for clothes that will last you a life time as a result of it's quality. All of my experinces at Brooks Brothers have been very pleasant and the staff is always helpful and do not hound you. The atmosphere of the store is also always clean, quiet, and organized and never too crowded.

For one who is looking for something that is high quality with timeless style, Brooks Brothers is a sure bet, but if one is looking for something more edgier, then try elsewhere.

05/05/2000 | Top quality, but high priced. I did have a good customer service experience there. I bought a shirt at one of their stores (on sale) and the neck shrunk significantly. So, a year or two later, I brought it back, they measured the neck, saw that it had shrunk by over an inch, and gave me a new shirt.
