11/13/2008 |  I have bought several item from Victoria's Secret. I have been quite pleased with the items overall and will continue to shop there via there online store.
Overall:
Items: 4 out of 5. The clothing section has a pretty wide variety. There's virtually NOTHING slutty about the clothing (push-up bras under a few outfits, but that's nothing). It should be noted the the sizing is a little bit snug, and the sizing chart is QUITE literal. In other words, if you've been pulling that tape measure tighter to convince yourself you're a little smaller, purchase according to your actual size, not your dream size.
Also, not all items look exactly the same color or way they do in the picture. Lighting, camera angles, computer work and the model make it look very different. One thing I ordered (a coat) turned out to be three shades lighter than I thought it would be, and didn't look as expensively made. It looked more like a knock off version of it (the sewing is a little dodgy...I put my had in the pocket and felt a taut thread stretching from one end of the pocket to the other. I'm afraid to snap it and unraveling everything). I liked it, I was just surprised at how different it was. Buyer beware in this regard.
Price: 3 out of 5. Ouch. Some of these prices can hurt. Some of the clearance items aren't that bad; $9.99 for a shirt I couldn't find anywhere else. Other items are way overpriced; $39.50 for a corduroy mini skirt (!). Now, while some of the clearance items aren't too overpriced, the SHIPPING is the killer. 5.99 (or so) for items under $25.00 (at time of writing). That, plus tax, should always be kept in mind when purchasing anything. Try and get Victoria's Secret e-mails for 25% deals and free shipping on items (usually over $100).
Speaking of shipping, it takes a while to get the item you purchased. Sometimes, it took less time than usual. Other times, it took a little longer. 7-10 business days. Expect shipping dates to be sporadic.
Customer Service: 4/5. Only called twice, both times received quite good help. One informed me as to why my purchase didn't appear to be received by the USPS (it was, just not scanned yet). They were pretty polite and helpful. No real complaints.
Ease of purchase: 4/5. Purchasing has been pretty easy. The only difficulty occurred with an item that was on clearance and still listed as available when it wasn't. I received a notice days later that they were sorry, but my purchase was out of stock. I was refunded my money and that was that. Another item was backordered and took longer than expected to arrive than estimated.
Overall Satisfaction: 4(1/2) out of 5. Overall, I am very pleased with finding this store. They have my size and the clothing is very flattering. I have found clothes that I otherwise could not.

10/26/2008 | I love shopping online and they have great deals. But... A couple of times when I shopped right before a sale was over, once I start processing my order, they give a message that the site is on maintenance. The first time, I still wanted my items and ordered them the next day, with no discounts. The second time (today) the sale was supposed to be over in a few hours and I got this message again once I started processing my order. OK, I reset my ip address (changed it), got back to my shopping bag and... there was no maintenance message anymore. It probably works as you get several discounted items in your bag and it's triggered by updating the bag (adding or removing items), so I kept getting "maintenance" once I updated the bag. But when I reset the address again and didn't have any message anymore. I did it several times and managed to complete the process.

10/21/2008 | I've ordered from vs since 1988-tonight w/ my shipment I recieved s.t. extra, a wheel!! Pretty entertaining except for the fact there was a label slapped on it that said "contains a chemical known in the state of california to cause cancer & birth defects or other reproductive harm"----yikes! wtf?? I have no idea why it could possibly be in my much anticipated shipment, but I sure as heck don't want it there. Has anyone else ever experienced this strangeness??

06/20/2008 | Victoria's secret online has a lot of great varieties that the stores don't have, at least most of them. The website is easy to order, everything is great and simple, up until the point they take your money..... but as you wait for your item, it is a LONG wait compared to other online websites you can order from. For example, the same day I ordered from victorias secret and hollister. Hollister shipped my item within 24 hours, and victorias secret says "still in progress" on the 3rd day now. Of course this would not bother someone who never orders from them, but someone who does and is awaiting these items, to know that it is sitting in some warehouse not even scheduled to come to you is almost maddening!

06/18/2008 |  I attempted to order a e-gift card online, and got a call later that afternoon from a very rushed representative saying to call back...When I called back, they said they had problems running my card and that the address didn't match. When I called my bank, the address was correct...I've used my card for purchases online in the past with no problems and couldn't figure this out.
I then noticed I had received an email from Victoria's Secret, but the email looked very unofficial and appeared to be a phishing scam. I then figured the call must have been someone trying to phish my card info - Better safe than sorry, I immediately canceled my debit card and ordered a new one.
Turns out it really was Victoria's Secret, and I still don't know what the heck the problem was they had with my card. Their phone numbers didn't jive with what was on their website, and their email addresses and customer service department names sound like something straight out of a phished email scam....I chose to use a different card and still attempt to purchase the card online, yet somehow they were able to put a pending charge on my other card, even though the card and order has been canceled.
Now the charge has gone through on my other card, but I'm still sitting here waiting for HER to get the gift card email!
Moral of the story? Go to the store and buy it in person, because this is not worth the hassle and the money I have sitting in pending charges that I can't verify will ever truly be applied to a usable gift card.

06/10/2008 | Victoria's Secret eShopping has been, by FAR, the WORST I have ever experienced, and I shop online litterally everyday. I strongly urge you to stay on top of all ePurchases you place with them.
I can tolerate the fact that if I find something I want, the "out of stock" or "backordered" message doesn't appear until I try to place the item into my shopping bag. But seriously, is it that difficult for a business to indicate which items are actually available?
I can tolerate the fact that I am unable to track my order until 3 hours before it gets to its delivery destination although truly disappointing considering when I buy from ANYONE else, even EBAY, I can see everything from the beginning.
Finally, I can tolerate the fact that the website is terribly disorganized in both finding items by "search", or logging in and viewing pending and previous orders without your customer number and order number in ADDITION to your profile login info. I thought that was the purpose of creating an account, so I wont have to carry that info around.
Speaking of info, their product descriptions suck. "Look great in this!"... well what IS it?
But it is absurd that I have spent over $800 in less than 10 days on their site and been charged about $60 in shipping alone. The website says orders over $100 gets you free shipping. my first order, of about $550 was delivered to the wrong address and when I called VS to get them to FIX it, they said it was I who typed in the wrong address and suggested I drive two counties away to get my delivery. I had to call UPS myself and beg them to fix it.
My current/pending order appears to contain items I would NEVER have purchased myself, even accidentally, things I have NO interest in, and won't be able to use. That is STEALING!
VS customer service acts completely HELPLESS if you can't provide your order number, customer number and other info, but isn't that what customer service is for? I emailed them to fix both orders. Someone replied and said she fixed one order so I emailed them again and they claim they have credited my cards back. They get a C for effort.
The shipping charges for my two orders are more than my entire shipping charge history on overstock.com, and believe me, that is outrageous.
Who the heck charges sales tax online when it's coming from another state?
I suggest you only shop at VS.com when you have absolutely no other choice, and plenty of time to wait around, check your invoice/credit cards until you receive your shipment in its entirety and have patience to deal with their staff and website.

03/05/2008 | I really cant say I've had any of these problems that you people are talking about, And I live in Canada. it only takes 3 days of processing, which is enough to clear customs. Then once its shipped it takes exactly 6 days to get here (excluding weekends of course).

12/24/2007 | VS online shopping sucks! I had put order of stuff worth more than $200 on Aug 9th and received my items around Oct 1st week!! That's insane! I shop online a lot and have never seen service like this before. When you call the customer service to complain, they talk to you as if everything is just the way it's supposed to be! Also, i didn't like any of their sweaters/clothes - they were a brand called 'Moda international'. They had ill fitting and in some cases, the quality of the wool wasn't good.
also they actually have the audacity to charge those autrocious shipping rates in this day and age of online shopping where everyone is either offering free or highly reasonal shipping rates! wonder what they are smoking!!

I tried it on and could not get it over my shoulders or hips! I am a size 12 and I am curvy and athletic kind of build. Basically I am by no means overweight I work and instuct at a gym I can't be it I wanted to so why can i not get this skirt over my shoulder or hips! The eleastic they include is a joke it may srtech an inch at the most. I get all my lady things from here but not anymore if that is their idea of a one size fits all! Oh and by the way I agree their shipping prices are BS also!

12/21/2007 | I just phoned V.S. to complain about how high shipping and taxes are. My merchandise total was $126, my taxes were $26, and shipping was $23. I thought the shipping and taxes were outrageous!! Anyway, even thought they coudln't change that, they gave me a $20 gift card. In my opinion, V.S. is tops! Love their stuff, great customer service...even though my husband won't shop there anymore because of that issue, I definitely will! thank you V.S.!

Used to order from them 2-3 times a year and now I hope I can find a better alternative. It's not worth 4 months of trying to resolve a charge (and still unresolved)!

I ordered 200+ dollars worth of merchandise nine days ago and had to call and cancel due to my order having yet to be shipped. The customer service rep could have cared less. After all, it's VS! I should be willing to pay top dollar and wait weeks. Right? No thanks.

11/26/2007 | I love their products but the customer service is awful! If you want to buy anything from this brand go to the store and do it. Do not ever order online. They messed up 5 of my orders in a roll. I spoke with over 20 operators and wrote 3 letters and they still do not want to refund me the full amount that i paid. After the return that I made they gave me $25 less. No one could explain me why...this was a pure theft.

I contacted customer service via e-mail three times but got no response. Normally, I check buyer ratings before ordering anything from online stores but I didn't this time because I thought VS was a reputable company. I guess I was wrong. This is my first and last time shopping at VS. Im really disappointed. Hopefully I can get my money back.

11/14/2007 | I will never make an online purchase thru Victoria Secrets again! My finance and I got married on Oct 20th and went to Hawaii on our honeymoon. She went online to purchase about $400 worth of items before we left. Purchased with plenty of time to spare, but also chose expedited delivery. The items did NOT come before we left, she had to go buy more items before we left, and we are still waiting for the remainder of the items that were back ordered. I spent quite a bit of time on the phone one day, talking to a variety of people in customer service. Lisa, was the most helpful at the time, but now I see that it was just lip service. Nothing more. NEVER again will I use their website to make a purchase. With customer service this poor, it's just a matter of time before others stop buy as well.

11/13/2007 | I have been a big fan of VS for over 5 years but I got HUGE Disappointed lately. First, they messed up my orders by putting in more orders that I did not order at all. Second, they took EXTRA money secretly from me without noticing me. I have complained to VS several times and only got an answer without proper apology after few days. The excuse they use now is they are moving and whatsoever. No matter how, VS has no reason to take extra money from customers secretly.
I sincerely suggest VS shoppers, especially those who have backordered items, Please DO CHECK YOUR CREDIT CARD RECORD carefully! I am serious! You cannot trust VS at this time. I also worry to death for my rest backordered items from VS. It is so tiring to check credit card bill all the time and to complain several times a week just to get my stolen money back.
Please be carefully with VS now! They steal money from my credit card. I swear I'm telling the truth, I have evidence.

09/21/2007 | Victoria's Secret online site is the worst I have come across. It takes them FOREVER to deliver packages and there are numerous flaws in their site. When you click to see when an item that is unavailable will become available, there is no information. It's like a ghost link. There are many of those and taxes and shipping are rediculous. Online tracking is another thing. Your package is always "in process". I love many of their clothes but it's not worth it to deal with their pathetic customer service.

I asked them to reassure me that I would receive the missing products by my wedding in mid-September and they have no interest in correcting their mistake. I will now receive the products in 14 business days, which is after my honeymoon. I will never shop here ever again and encourage others to do so as well.

OK, This is about if you WEAR their clothes, not liking the models. Does anyone else find their quality is just never good? I always order thinking this looks really good, but then the material is so CHEAP, the tailoring is not right. Especially their bikinis. Even their underwear are not comfortable. IT'S ALL ABOUT MARKETING for Victoria's Secret, not the value of the product.
Every once in a while I'll find something I don't want to return though, like the other name brands they sell.

Return is a problem (extra charge).
Customer service is poor.
You can easily get on their blacklist,when you try the deal with coupon post on internet.

If you live abroad, DO NOT ORDER ANYTHING FROM VICTORIA'S SECRET!! I live in Spain and have been waiting for over a hundred dollars of merchandise, plus 30 dollars of shipping, for over two weeks. They said it was shipped out on March 27th, was supposed to be here April 20th, and look, it's already May 6th, and NO PACKAGE. I've written a total of 5 very polite emails requesting some information about tracking the package, solutions to the problems, etc., and I haven't recieved any attention. At first they were sending me back automated messages, and then one of them referred me to a carrier service that DID NOT EXIST and when I told her of my problem, she advised to check the local post office here in Madrid. Well it doesn't take a genius to know that if you ship by a private carrier, the package will not magically appear in the national postal service. But, in case I was wrong I called the post office and they told me exactly what I already knew.
Now my sister is coming to visit from CT in two days and I regret so much not having sent her the order in the first place. I just thought the extra money for shipping to Spain would be worth it because I didn't want to trouble her.
I have never complained about customer service in any establishment before because I have worked in the service industry myself, and I realize that at times mistakes and oversights are made, but I feel like in this case it is not an oversight, it is a deliberate snub. Victoria's Secret has completely ignored me and all I can do now is check with my credit company to try to cancel the payment for the order I made almost two months ago!!

I have recently been reviewing websites that allow people to 'complain' or give their negative opinions regarding products and services from companies they have come in contact with. I believe that when people are going to take time out of their day to write something on a random site, they usually have negative feelings toward that company and feel that their time spent writing the complaint is well worth the effort. I'd like to do the opposite...
I would like to share my experiences with Victoria's Secret with ya'll (yes im southern). I would have to say that Victoriassecret.com is my favorite online shopping site and shopping in store has always been pleasant. Everytime (which is a lot) that I have ordered online, I have received exactly what I wanted and on the date that the website tells me that the products will arrive. I have worked for an internet shopping site and can guarantee you that meeting all criteria with shipping and having all product arive at once is rare, yet Victoria's Secret has accomplished this. All of my bikinis arrive promptly before vacation even though i order them a few days before I leave, they save the day! I bought a very sexy infinity edge bra from Vicky's .. a few months later the underwire was coming out of the fabric. I went to the store and showed them this issue, they were happy to take the bra back (without receipt even) and give me a brand new bra, no questions asked! Then about 6 months later this new bra's strap came unsewn. I brought it back to the store, and they replaced it again! I just couldnt believe how amazing this was and was more than pleased! I dont know if I would even do this for my customers because way too many people lie in this world. I was telling the truth, no worries. Also, I went to a Vicky's store to get another bottle of my favorite perfume. Unfortunately they had discountinued it HOWEVER the sales rep decided to go to the back room and dig through boxes to find me the last lotion they had left in that sent! She went above and beyond and I was so thrilled.
In conculsion, i have nothing but positive things to say about Victoria's Secret in store and online. I am a devote customer and will be for years to come!

I have a word of advice...if you are going to pay over $60 for something then expect it in the correct time or just go somewhere else!

01/24/2007 | Ever since my husband bought me my first bra from Vickie's as a Valentines present over ten years ago I have been in love them and I have worn nothing but Vickie's bras ever since. I'm a very well endowed full 38C and I'm very happy to say that their Very Sexy and their Glamour collection fit me as if I was their model when they were making my size, therefore fitting me as if they were made them especially for me to my personal body specifications. I currently have over twenty five of their bars in my lingerie collection but when ever they come out with a new style or color that I don't have I go online and buy it. My husband thinks I'm crazy but I'm addicted and I can't help myself. He likes me looking sexy and Vickie's bras definitely do that so he's happy and I'm happy and my boobs are always looking perky and sexy in no matter what I wear. I would recommend Vickie's Secret to anyone who's looking for a comfortable, good fitting quality bra that's not only sexy but can been worn every day. My only regret is that I don't own stock in their company so its costing me a small fortune for my addiction to their lingerie.

01/07/2007 | Victoria's Secret sucks because their new hairspray contains CFC's!!!!!!! I got it for Christmas and had no idea unit I was reading the ingredients! You would like if Suave and "cheaper" products could reduce CFC's, V.S could too! I am appauled and sincerely peeved!

12/23/2006 | VS.com has totally ruined my holidays! I ordered online on the 19th of December with "guaranteed" deliver in 2 days. I called customer service on the 21st, 22nd, and 23rd. I got the run around from all reps. Supervisors were "unavailable" to speak with me. I was told I would receive a call in 24 hours. But, as of now...UPS tracking says my shipment won't be here until the 27th.

12/23/2006 | If you like Second Skin Satin collection, go to VS's website and go to contact us and click on the comments link to send them a message insisting that they not discontinue this collection. They have removed it from their regular line of bras and panties and it's now only in clearance which is exactly what happened last time they discontinued it, and then they later ended up bringing the line back to the catalog/online store only, I can only imagine that it was because enough people complained about the discontinuation. So if you like those bras, complain. They are absolutely the only bra that has ever worked well enough for me to wear everyday because I wear a 36DD, I've tried tons of other bras and this collection is the only one that's comfortable and supports and lift enough that my boobs don't get in the way of everything. When I wore other bras I couldn't even drive well because I couldn't move my arms enough to turn the steering wheel. Please, please, please complain.
