i see why she was adored but she's not for me.

I eagarly awaited Ms Hills concert in Dubai last night (05/07/07) the show was scheduled to start at 9.30pm, the mc kept informing us that Ms Hill would be on in 15 mins but 2 hours had passed by the time she graced us with her precence! Boo's were starting to eminate throughout the audience before she came out so needless to say people were getting impatient!! The mc informed us that she had come from italy, hadn't slept and even though her voice was hoarse was still willing to go ahead! Were we to be honored?? why not just cancel beforehand if that was the case? I found they were making excuses for her before she even came on. I had read other blogs before the concert and similiar incidents were reported Stateside. When she arrived on stage she made no apologies for her late appearance and proceed to 'sing speak' for the first half hour by then we'd had enough and left and suffice to say we weren't the only ones. A very disapponting night I'm sad to say. The only star I'd give her would be for her appearance Regards an ex fan

I wanna rate her a 5 star but her ignorant comments have put me right off her. I wont bother with her next album as there are far too many other artists out there for me to spend my money on. I would rather a thousand Lauryn Hill's died than any child be subjected to her racist nonsense.

I love Lauryn Hills music, its inspiring and i listen to it alot but, the rumours about her being a racist are true and i found it hard Xceptin but they are and there r whitenesses of it so i suggest u get ur facts right hu eva said there werent. i think she isnt a rapper and shud stik to singing but i am a bit put off now i found out who she is as a person. i rekon everyone should stop idolising lauryn hill and strt idolising ALICIA KEYS who is real and talent and a nice person aswell.

THIS WOMAN IS MY IDOL! And she is not racist,i've never heard her say a bad thing about anyone. Lauryn Hill is not only extremely talented, but she's beautiful, intelligent (Afterall she did go to Columbia University) and she has class, which is more than I can say for most female artists today. I love her music. I think her lyrics are so insightful and real. I can relate to a lot of the themes in her songs. Lauryn has been on hiatus for so long, but I hope she know's that a lot of people want her to make a come back. Sge got bad reviews for The MTV Unplugged album, but if you listen to it, you could tell that she was going through a rough time, so give her a break! COME BACK LAURYN, WE MISS YOU! Can't wait for the new album!

For the miseducated rap/hip-hop means rap and other forms of musical aspects of hip-hop culture (black, urban culture and a culture reckognized by the UN). As Lauryn Hill does rap on many occasions, although the Miseducation CD is mainly singing, she does fall in the category and personally, i believe she is high on the list because her music is productive, moving and a worthwhile listen.

Lauryn Hill has a very beautiful, moving, and majestic voice that will never be forgotten. I really loved Lauryn Hill when she was still with the Fugees, and I even enjoy her solo work. She even proved to be a great actress when she starred in Sister Act 2. Lauryn Hill is by all means a very talented woman who we will hear more and more from in the future...

Beautiful and charming singer has a crystal clear voice, but hasn't had a hit in quite some time.

not only is she a great rapper she also an excellent singer song/writer and damn good with a guitar. i recently obtained a copy of her mtv unplugged cd. the lyrics show her growth as a person and her intelligence. as far as the racism goes, no one that mentions it can pin point a specific incident that display such so as far as i'm concerned it's just a rumor until proven otherwise. she seems to smart to be that ignorant.

She is a talented musician, but has no business in the top 20 with the best rappers. Thus, I am giving her this rating according to her rapping skills.

One of hip-hop's greatest! She expresses deep human emotions through her music and is a talented musician and producer. A positive voice from a much-maligned genre.

I only hope the reviewers who remarked on Lauryn Hill's racism have been misinformed! It would be a shame that someone brilliant enough to write, produce, and perform on an album like "Miseducation..." would be ignorant enough to be a racist. I truly believe that anyone who is as intelligent and enlightened as Ms. Hill portrays herslf to be (And, yes, that's clearly evident on her album) has the sense to know that it's grace, not race that will guarantee admittance into heaven!
